Main plot made no sense. Actors' performances were excellent.
This drama was much more "bromance" than I expected with a similar vibe to the Chinese drama "Guardian".Unfortunately, the main plot made no sense. Therefore, although the actors' performances were excellent, I did not fully enjoy them. There were even a few scenes where it was hard to understand why they were crying. It was almost traumatic for me that I could not sympathize with their beautiful tears.
Compared to the main plot, the subplots, each of which was a complete story, were relatively coherent and understandable. However, they were rather mediocre and lacked depth.
The cast was gorgeous, and everyone, including the guest actors, showed superb acting ability. The script was too confusing in some areas, it still worked because of their skill and passion. I was really impressed with Tor and Gun, who played the main characters, for their consistent performance of messy storyline. Among the sub-characters, Nanon's emotional expression was outstanding and worth watching, while Namtan and Foei also did a great job. Also amazing were the scenes in which two actors (Gun and Nanon) shared one character. It was so exciting and this alone made me glad seeing this drama.
The music was less impressive. I guess they didn't have time or budget to work out the details. I was also bothered by the cheap-looking accessories. Especially the cane was awful. I couldn't help but feel sorry for Tor, who had to carry it almost every time he came in. The costumes were good on the other hand, but did not seem to fit the Thai climate.

Onsen (Japanese hot spring) is not a place to make love.
I'm a fan of JaFirst and I mostly enjoyed this drama. However, I have to say as a Japanese, that the onsen (Japanese hot spring) is not a place to make love, especially from a hygienic standpoint. Sometimes the water is circulated.
And also, there was a scene Ashi and Title went together in a small onsen, but the situation never happens in reality. Small onsens are for families or lovers, not for friends.
Another point is, Mr. Tanada was really weird and looked like a swindler or something rather than a film director. I want to ask writers why they made him like that.

Why SpongeBob?
This drama is a story about a high school boy who falls in love at first site with a new young teacher and pushes her around. The teacher was supposed to be in her early 20s, but for some reason she behaved like a woman in her 30s or 40s who had never dated a man and had no confidence and sex appeal as a woman. Frankly, it was at a level that made me wonder what the creators thought of mature women. By comparison, the boy's earnestness was kind of cute, but his taste in clothes was awful. It was a totally pointless drama, with SpongeBob being the only memorable character.Cet avis était-il utile?
Bangkok Love Stories 2: Plead

Well-detailed both thematically and in terms of artwork
The drama was set in Bangkok's Chinatown, and it was nice to see how their culture and details were captured tastefully and vividly. The prehistoric view of gender and the undertones were a bit annoying, but considering the overall quality, it was tolerable. The psychological portrayal of the characters was excellent, with the subtle emotions of each character expressed delicately, interspersed with some humor. The romantic scenes between the main character Tee, his childhood friend Pai, and his girlfriend El were especially beautiful and perfectly in line with the theme. They did great job.
The theme is about fate. In my opinion, "love or fate" and "only love conquers fate" are figurative expressions. More directly, love thwarted by fate is terribly tragic and, for those who witness it, an unforgettable trauma. I guess this kind of story actually starts at the end. The end is fixed, and the whole story looks back to the past.

Enjoyable if you don't expect too much
I have seen several dramas directed and written by Fon Kanittha Kwunyoo, all of which depict vulnerable teenagers who are oppressed by society, and I like her point of view. This drama is no exception and for me it was very intriguing to intertwine the issues of dysfunctional families and young caregivers with the drug problem. However, there is another major theme of "forbidden love" in this drama, which was not well integrated with the aforementioned social issues, I felt. Some of the actors seemed to be at a loss, and the drama as a whole seemed a bit messy. But still, there was a kind of depth that distinguished it from pointless roller-coaster dramas.
The director herself has name value, and the cast includes many well-known actors, so expectations might be inevitably high, but if expectations are low, it was enjoyable enough, at least for me. It uses a lot of tears, slow motion, and spiritual music, so viewers who like this kind of thing will probably be hooked.
