Destiny, all will be well

This series
is exquisite. The acting is superb. The characters are all well developed. The ML and FL's chemistry is palpable. It is easy to feel the circumstances of the characters.
The child star is beautiful.
The villains and meddlers are easy to despise.
The flashbacks are seamless.
The final episodes might have allowed the characters to come to grips with the intervening years more. Too, the characters seem older than they should be, although they have suffered.
Still...
Great story. Each episode is worth watching. The episodes are never padded. In plain words, the ML and FL are jerked around awfully by self-serving characters and life itself throughout this series so that my heart actually hurt for them. The pure and good suffer here.
This is a heavy dose of realism.
I recommend this beautiful series!

Large slice of Life/large dose of Karma/sins of the Fathers?

This films delves into the lives of some talented, irreparably damaged, flawed haracters. To say the plot is unrealistic is ignoring the reality around us and failing to recognize how decisions of our ancestors can sometimes wreak havoc for generations.
This is a tragically beautiful love story stands out against smaller, safer, more ordinary relationships.
The dance scene between the male and female leads is pivotal. The ending holds hope. Happiness comes with a price.
They both persist. He is not giving up.
The cinematography and the soundtrack are stellar. What a story of the human experience!

Waiting for his lover

I am a great fan of all phases of Wallace Chung's talent. This drew me to this series, and is the reason I am continuing to watch it and will re-watch parts of it.
His singing of the theme song drew me in further.
The major flaw appears to be, as I havent read the novel, trying to use too much of the novel on the screen.
We have two mediums, and they aren't completely interchangeable. As a result, the plot drifts from the main theme over and over, taking far too long to tell this story.
The story itself is a good one, with a beautiful message on the differences in love and the diamond sharp beauty of unconditional love.
Wallace Chung's character is developed well. Chung's performance is complete as always.
The cinematography is exquisite,a feast.
The theme song done by Wallace Chung is lovely! Soundtrack otherwise is often far too loud and off putting.
This piece needs a more condensed storyline and major editing for cohesiveness. While part of this can be attributed to censorship, the film needs more work for polish and smoothness. It deserves it.
This is a fascinating story with superb actors. I do recommend the film, in spite of some repetitiveness and length.
I love this series. It is flawed, but the acting and cinematography is superb. It has a happy ending!
