I love this drama
A phenomenal watch. This is a piece that pulls you in by the minute. The development of the story and the characters are so intricate and well done that it is such a great watch. The actors chosen for their roles are committed and delivered what they came to do.It had me on my toes for what the drama meant by "scent of time" after convincing me that it was a reincarnation trope- or a second chance at life. What it truly was caught me off guard pleasantly. The entire 30 episodes had me binging it as much as I could in the shortest amount possible.

Incredibly slow movie
A first observation is that it is past two hours long. The time is justifiable to help us better connect with the MC family and understand the village culture. For me, most of the scenes felt like just clips of the village, no explanation let me better understand the situation before the direction had us diving into its issues. The characters aren't really loveable. I didn't feel the appeal to empathize with them. Or even pay attention to the movie while it was playing. I got really bored. But I appreciated not getting jump-scared by a whole bunch of random, ugly, dirty zombies that yeet out of nowhere.
If you have bad attention, this may not be your favorite film. If you enjoy films that english or literature classes would use to admire the literacy art- this is the one for you. You'll have so many parts to gawk over when you realize how your points have connected.
Another thing is that it was hard to understand who's the "good" guy or the "bad guy"
So I watched an explanation... instead of rewatching the movie- it's ridiculously long.
If you want to know... then keep reading? Because it's going to be a spoiler.
The Japanese old man - Bad. He is the devil. The taking photos.
Strange woman in a white dress - good. She set up protection for the families. When families are tempted with fear, they break the protection and acted with the Japanese man's intentions.
Shaman - bad. Working in cahoots with the Japanese evil. has a box of photos. Also removed the white dress lady's protection.

Great Korean Fantasy Watch!
I really love this drama. It has a really strong hook with a great team behind it. I love its story and the production. This drama's style left the impression that it is inspired by Chinese Fantasy dramas. From the different schools of arts and specialties and the way the fighting scenes are choreographed. I really enjoyed this drama and the romance between the characters.I would definitely recommend this drama to any Chinese Immortal drama enjoyers or the martial sects too! Its style is so similar! And this also makes a great binge too (:

Heart-aching Tragic Love
OST? 10/10. Tell spotify to keep it available- I will practically become insane without the OST.The cast? Perfection. tell me how did they manage to find actors that can carry the depth and complexities of their characters without slipping an uncharacteristic side of self? I feel like I'm watching a love story that is documented through scrolls and scripts. The drama is so beautifully theatric.
The plot? The writers spent time on it. That's for sure. The time doesn't feel rushed, and we get a clear understanding of problems as they arise. The plot makes sense when it comes to the character's relationships and temperaments.
I also feel like the costumes of this drama had netizens and other drama stylists on a grip. After this drama, it feels like I have been seeing Xiao Feng in different fonts everywhere.

Best Action!
Honestly, the best action I have seen in a while. There are a total of eight episodes packed with stories and action. Not a single moment is wasted on chitter-chatter, the story unfolds and explains the questions that may come up as the stories are introduced. The characters are well-developed and actors played a role in making their characters more lively.
This drama is a binge-worthy drama!

Not a very good watch
This drama aired on iQiyi and I watched it on the app when it came out. I recently discovered this awesome site so I'm here to spill my two-cents.I was attracted to Luo Yunxi after completing Ashes of Love so I wanted to see more. He is an "okay" actor, i don't find him spectacular or outstanding. But what he has is face. His visuals are soft and feminine- very different from the actors casted at the time.
The actor casted for the female lead gave me a cute impression from Princess of Weiyong. She is consistent in her immature acting and limited display of emotions and understanding of her role. There is a disconnect between her and the character that she plays. It's hard to become engrossed in the drama when the main actor struggles to grasp her role.
I also think the plot is bland and poorly written. There's not a lot of depth and the development is not that great either. The length and the scenes they decided were "relevant" to the plot felt distracting and out of place.
I do not reccomend this drama.

Blooming romance and character growth!
I love this story so much! The outline of the plot is a basic one. The female lead's (Hua Zhi) family (The Hua Family) falls from grace- basically, the emperor doesn't favor their family and exiled the men to a Northern Border and the women and youth of the family are left in the capital. They no longer have their property because it is confiscated by the emperor. So they must make a living to survive.Hua Zhi is a curious learner, and a brilliant business (young) woman. Hua Zhi is played by Zhang Jingyi, who does an excellent job of emulating the natural brilliance of a young woman pursuing business endeavors to support her family single-handedly. The male lead Gu Yanxi is played by Hu Yitian who did a decent job. I didn't like him a lot because there wasn't depth to his character. I can't really tell how much Gu Yanxi loves Hua Zhi. I don't really see the conflicted character go between being a loyal emperor subject to a man in love. He doesn't offer a more complex insight on his character. It seems as if he read the novel and gave us a surface presentation on the actor. The other casting who played the supporting roles did a phenomenal job at offering their character some dimension.
The production of this drama is also pretty good. There isn't much to nitpick. The only one is lighting. You'll notice it if you're a person with sensitive eyes. But other than that, this drama is smooth, enjoyable, and fun.
I feel like there are some playful parts and sweet moments that will hold dear to you.

An Endearing Watch!
What a cute and lovely pair between Sheng Sheng and Mo Qing Cheng! It's a light and easy watch as there aren't any crazy plots included. The characters in this film are lovable humans and they demonstrate cheerful friendship at work, study, and romance altogether! It's a love story between two characters who fell in love with each other's voices at first listen. And throughout, they also share their love of food. Both characters are talented in making their dishes and taking care of one another in their unique ways. They share recipes and bond over this aspect. He enjoys cooking and she enjoys eating. The best part of this drama is that there is no miscommunication. We get to witness two very mature people treat their love with sincerity and honesty.
A great watch with a pretty and romantic soundtrack!

Slow, but ok.
My review contains a little bit of spoilers but it doesn't reveal too much? if you get what I mean? like detail complaints. not storyline or story progression.I didn't think this was that bad compared to the other written reviews. I do feel like the drama series was missing in the story development and character depth (which are the two main points of a story), the cast is pretty good enough to distract us from that gap.
After watching this drama, I have so many questions.
1. This is a high school, right? What do you mean drugs and parties? How would parents even fund for that?
2. What do you mean pregnant at 18 in a prestigious high school? Do they not attend classes?
3. also how does a grown woman disappear out of thin air (jung jae-i's mom) and have a little kid believe that after all that prestigious schooling?
4. who is the anonymous Instagram messager?
5. after this high school experience, how would the directors even depict their college? Because the school's vicinity alone is massive.
6. How long is this story's timeline? They can't be high school seniors forever right?
