When a narcotics investigator Jang Jae Kyung (Ji Sung) finds himself forcibly addicted to drugs, he must fight himself to maintain his sanity, all while uncovering the truth behind a suspicious suicide of an old friend. A shady yet familiar behavior of old schoolmates draws him back to a past incident of their schooldays, hinting at a connection that are yet to be reveal.

Wow, the best of 2024 for me!! I really enjoy the each week cycle of anticipation, worry, excited, thrilled, satisfied, confused, repeat! Each time an episode broadcast ends and waiting for the subtitle, I'm just as addicted as JK... can't function well, craving to watch with subtitles! XD

It goes full on with the thrills, action, layered mysteries and powerful stories elements; Not only about Jae Kyung's drug challenge but also about bad friendships and trust issues. The pacing and character backgrounds were perfect 100! The only thing I'm dying to know sooner was the root cause of few happenings and character motivations, but it doesn't deter my extreme excitement of watching every episode asap because it's so jam-packed with unpredictable plot twists. Each scene is meaningful, there's no filler. Even the funny moments, I needed all of those because otherwise it would be too seriously intense to watch.

Acting: Years passed and Ji Sung is just as unapologetically charming and amazing as ever. Ji Sung is mostly known for his excellency in playing multiple personalities, and here is no different. Although he's playing one role, Jae Kyung, he is an intelligent detective who's always ready to think and act on his toes, and the next scene he's hyperventilating having withdrawal symptom of drugs. Such a realistic depiction of despair which is not overly sensational, I think only a very controlled & skillful actor can do so.

Not just him, The entire cast take the lead in this harrowing crime mystery; Jeon Mido, Jung Soon Won, Kwon Yul, and Kim Kyung Nam, and others too. Each character is unique and I have to think about all of them while predicting how the story goes. Rewatch value is 10 because it's impossible for me to start predicting before watching each ep for at least 2x, and i still respond intensely (if not more) towards the impactful moments.
