My first introduction to Asian dramas were dubbed Kdramas and Thai lakorn back in 1997. My younger sister and aunt loved them, but I didn't care for them. Though, I did end up watching most the dramas halfway to the end with them. Haha. Fast-forward to 2006, I was introduced to Full House (2004, South Korea) and Devil Beside You (2005, Taiwanese) and I was hooked, but my obsession with dramas started when I got my own DVD set of Kimi wa Petto.

I went through many phases: there were times where I watched only Jdramas then I switched over to Kdramas then I obsess over anime then back to Jdramas (a bit of Thai lakorn, Taiwanese and Chinese dramas were watched here and there throughout the process). I've seen the good and the bad, and my taste in dramas have changed a lot.

Back then, I used to watch only romantic comedy and high school-related/youth dramas or dramas where I think the actors or actresses are good looking. Now that I'm older, I tend to watch dramas based on plot, acting skills, and emotional attachment, and my favorites from the couple of years now are usually in the coming-of-age/slice-of-life genres.

Currently,I've watched more than 150 Asian dramas. Not that much, I guess. But I think that says a lot about me...that I'm such a low-life. Haha. I swear they're so addictive! It's okay, I'm not ashamed.

Beside Asian dramas, I'm also a fan of movies and books. I also love cooking and photography.
