Demisexual/Demiromantic Coded Characters
With main characters that strike me as fitting the labels of demisexual and/or demiromantic. Mostly male leads because Asian countries on MDL seem to portray women as demi by default.
-
1. My Love from the Star
Korean Drama - 2013, 21 episodes
(Spoiler) Could argue that both the FL and ML are on the asexual spectrum since they're fine with a relationship in which even kissing is not really on the table
-
2. The Smile Has Left Your Eyes
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
ML demiromantic
-
3. Love Between Fairy and Devil
Chinese Drama - 2022, 36 episodes
ML demiromantic demisexual
-
4. W - Two Worlds Apart
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes

-
5. Semantic Error
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
(One) ML both
-
6. Suiyobi 22-ji dake no kare
Japanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
The ML reads to me as being on the ace spectrum, because he's perfectly happy in a relationship with the FL that includes cuddling while sleeping, but no sex or kissing. It doesn't seem to occur to him that she might be unhappy with this arrangement. (They do kiss at the end, but sex is never addressed.)

15. I Cannot Hug You
Chinese Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
ML asexual. (Paraphrased quote) "Since I was a child, I've always wondered why the prince and princess need to kiss each other to have a happy ending. Isn't it enough to know we love each other in our hearts?" (I had to drop this because it seemed like they weren't going to treat his asexuality well--his girlfriend was really pushy about it.)
