Hot Sex & Love!

I love sexy movies. I love when love is expressed both physically and emotionally. The films on this list are ones in which the love story is the driving force of the narrative.  The sex, in and of itself, is not what's important. What's important is what the sex represents. It's the love that's already there or is developing between the characters. Hot sex is just a physical manifestation of that, and thus, only a bonus!

  • The Treacherous

    1. The Treacherous

    Korean Movie - 2015

    8.0

I saw this film a few years ago & couldn't remember a thing about it, except that it was rather decadent. I rewatched it recently & I found that I really loved the hot push/pull 'enemies turning into lovers' sensuality between the leads! While this wasn't the most romantic of love stories in the classic sense - indeed it is pure lust that first draws the protagonists to each other - the fiery sexual tension between them was electric & undeniable. When they finally made love ... their sex scene was one of the best I've ever seen. Tastefully and artfully shot, their bodies were like sculptures wrapped around each other. It was truly one of the most beautiful renditions of physical love. The scene was full of sensuality, lust and sexiness ... and the ensuing dialogue during it served only to intensify the experience! I have to say Jo Ji Hoon's body in that scene - lithe, well - muscled - was a thing of dreams. Lord deliver me!

    Korean Movie - 2015

Man, talk about a sexy movie! Whereas The Teacherous dealt with enemies becoming lovers, Empire of Lust had a more romantic love story at its core. The love scenes are intense, but they depict exactly that ... the love, or the developing of it, between the characters. Living difficult, choatic lives, they found refuge in each other's bodies, thereby making their encounters as much about lust & love as it was about healing. The romantic in me loved it!

  • Obsessed

    Korean Movie - 2014

This was supposed to be an epic love story about soul mates finding each other, but it just didn't work out. I think it was because both actors were inexperienced at doing sex scenes. For the female lead, this was her first ever film role . The male lead, the very fine mr. Song Seung Hoon, is an experienced actor, but this was his first role that called for nudity and raw sexuality. Unfortunately that inexperience from both parties showed. There was nothing sexy, sensual or emotionally charged about their sex scenes. Indeed, the scenes felt forced, scripted and too mechanic. As if the actors rehearsed to death each thrust & every change of position. It truly could have been an amazing love story, but unfortunately the whole production was executed all wrong. The script felt severly underdeveloped, and sadly, the acting and direction were both lacking. Interestingly, the female lead here went on to star in The Teacherous, which has one of the sexiest, most sensual sex scenes I've ever seen! She clearly learned from her mistakes here! I'm sure too - without taking anything away from SSH because that brother is damn fine! - that it helped having a sexy, fine af co-star like Jo Ji Hoon to fake orgasms with! ;-)

  • A Man and A Woman

    4. A Man and A Woman

    Korean Movie - 2016

    8.0

Two of my favourite Korean actors ... and they had sizzling chemistry in this melodrama about finding love when you least expect it. The sex scenes are sensual, a little desperate and healing. While I'm not a big fan of love stories that are anchored in infidelity, I didn't mind this one because both Gong Yoo & Jeon Do Yeon give powerhouse performances that make you totally invested in their journey despite the circumstances. Gong Yoo is an amazingly emotive actor who was an amazing fit for what the role called for. I seriously don't think I would have liked it as much as I did, if this had featured another male lead.

  • Scarlet Innocence

    7. Scarlet Innocence

    Korean Movie - 2014

    7.0

Seriously, the sex scenes in Scarlet Innocence borders on being porn. The scenes are shot from every angle imaginable, and we come very close to seeing *actual* penetration. Like, I ain't complaining ... but damn! Lee Som & my boy Jung Woo Sung went ALL THE WAY OUT for this one! Makes you wonder if they might've been lovers off the screen as well. Yo, they had to have been! Anyway, what I found noteworthy about the scenes was that while shocking, they actually are not misplaced. They serve a purpose though one might be tempted to construe them as gratuitous. That purpose is to show the internal conflict each character has to grapple with and how that drove their carnal desires for each other. For one the sex is a desperate cry for validation and acceptance. For the other it's pure, animalistic lust and escapism from external conflicts. The intensity of the scenes depict their individual motivations for the encounter brillantly. That's why, even though they were a little over the top, the scenes still work for me. There's even a semi-decent revenge plot going on somewhere in there.

  • The Servant

    8. The Servant

    Korean Movie - 2010

    10

So it's very rare that you get a straightforward happy ending in a period piece like The Servant. There's always some obstacle that casts ambiguities on the couple's love at the end of these type of movies. The Servant, however, takes a different path ... though, it's still rather bittersweet. I love The Story of Chunhyang - and in particular this retelling of it. It's about how a lowly servant won the heart of a famous courtesan - who could have her pick of men, including nobles, but who chose him, despite his 'less than' status. I am a sucker for a good love story ... and this one is very good. Every time the characters made love, it was electric. A deep expression of the love and lust both felt for each other.

  • Sunk into Her

    10. Sunk into Her

    Korean Movie - 2001

    6.0

An appropriate title because he was quite literally 'sunk into her' pretty much all the time! lol

The movie is about one of the lead character's disintegration into madness. The sex scenes are hot and frequent, but not frenzied enough to sufficiently denote the characters' state of mind, which was the purpose of them being so frequent in the first place. I find that Scarlet Innocence did a much better job of using the sexual act to represent the characters' psychology than Sunk Into Her did. Nevertheless, Sunk Into Her makes the list because the chemistry between the leads was off the charts & despite the sadness that surrounded their union, their love was really beautiful. The love & their physical expression of that love was definitely something the romantic in me enjoyed. The ml was total eye candy too.

  • Kakou no Futari

    11. Kakou no Futari

    Japanese Movie - 2019

This was an interesting one. Metaphoric and symbolic in its storytelling, but curiously simple in its depiction of a horny couple in an indie film sort of way. Commentary to be cont'd ...
