  • Queen In Hyun's Man

    1. Queen In Hyun's Man

    Korean Drama - 2012, 16 episodes

*1/3 Favorite dramas. My most rewatchable drama ever, probably seen it over 10 times. I love this pairing and I'm so so sad their romance in real life didn't succeed.

I'm so happy I didn't let the stupid title stop me from watching this perfect drama (especially since there was no emphasis on their economic status whatsoever).
Can't understand people who bashed the ML, in my opinion nothing in his behavior was not adequate.
The FL is pretty but c'mon girl, too many tears. I can't even imagine to myself what would my boss think of me if like her I would've encounter him always with teary eyes lol

    Adorable and lighthearted drama.
Loved that unlike most dramas, they didn't turn her lying into a big deal and even the ML brushed it off. For me, it was totally unexpected.
Also, this drama showed that with the right education, even rich spoiled kids have great character, are grounded and not think of themselves as much better than those who are less fortuned.

*Old drama I've seen in 2021. At the end of 2020, I watched My Husband In Law and got totally hooked on Mark Prin (who already got a shout out on day 2 of this challenge) and I've started 2021 with the resolution to watch as many of his projects as I can. Happens to be, but today's drama was the first one on the list and also first time seeing a real life couple acting together in an Asian drama. There wasn't much romance in it (but don't worry I've watched Kom Faek right afterwards and got my Mark * Kimmy dose) but it was a nice drama.
Rich FL who was raised to be modest and respectful, ML who didn't get all crazy when he learned his love interest lied to him about practically everything, were just two things that brought some refreshment to a very used up concept (the GIF will explain it to you in just a sec).

I don't know why I disregarded all the negative reviews and wanted for years to watch this drama. It was definitely not worth it. Even the funny parts ended after only fourth of the drama passed.
Can't seem to understand what made Gong Yoo with his talent to take part in this drama where he was regarded basically as a piece of meat, always shirtless or with clothes so tight you could see his curves. (and yes I know it's weird, but I'm complaining! As I don't want women to be objectified, same goes with men).
It's interesting to see Suzy as I first encountered her in Dream High but she too deserved better. She was at times like Gong Yoo's little sister and at others like a love interest. A bit weird.
I remembered Lee Min Jung as a better actress but maybe not lol
p.s I've just complained few days ago on Moving's page about the awful Russian accent of the "Russian" spies. Yet it seems they could've used Gong Yoo instead. His Russian was certainty better ;)

  • Moon Embracing the Sun

    15. Moon Embracing the Sun

    Korean Drama - 2012, 20 episodes

What an awful drama it was. At least now I can say that I know where Kim Soo Hyun hysterically crying famous meme comes from.
This drama was boring since ep 1 till the very end. Maybe my expectations were extremely high because of the 10/10 reviews but I really don't know what people found appealing in this drama expect from KSH.
Bad casting of female leads- who both look older than KSH while the young Yeo Ji Goo obv looked like the older out of the three.
IMO Jung Il Woo was wasted in this drama totally.
p.s is there a single famous child actor (except Park Ji Bin) who didn't take part in this drama? lol I think I've seen them all here ;)
