Gay movies/dramas
A list of all the gay/lgbtq+ movies/dramas I've watched so far.
Any censored romances will be specified as such, as will any series where I've written too much, and therefore had to post a review instead.
In regards to recommendation specifics:
Yes: Either means that I really enjoyed it or that I believe most other people would like it.
Yes and no: Either means that I didn't particularly enjoy it or that there were some messages/choices I didn't like.
No: Either means that it was a sad/tragic ending, not really a BL, or that it was plain bad.
I also feel the need to add that, obviously, my opinions can differ from others, and my reviews are solely based on MY feelings. Maybe you would thoroughly enjoy a series/movie that I, for lack of a better word, disliked. My reviews can also be quite harsh sometimes. I am just a person who feels very deeply about, well, most things. I don't (usually) mean to offend anyone, and I respect that we all have our own feelings about stuff. The last thing I want is for someone to write something negative/hateful on this list or on anything that has to do with me. I do NOT want it in my life, so if you do disagree with my way of thinking/doing things, please just pretend I don't exist. Thanks!
(Can you tell I'm terrified of judgment and criticism?)

Right, so the gay couple was hardly a couple. They didn't actually seem like they were together. It was just lackluster.

So when the plot makes no sense and the leads don't have any chemistry, what then? You drop the series. The acting wasn't great either. The writing was pretty bad. The first two or three episodes were hard to get through, but I thought it would get better at some point, and it just didn't. I have better things to do.

It would have been nice to see them get to know each other on a deeper level than sex. Every time Xiang would try to strike up a conversation with Vic, he'd kiss him to shut him up. Vic could easily have told Xiang the real reason why he didn't want him to go, but he chose not to. I found him manipulative and cowardly. The plot itself was all over the place. I'll say it only once; kissing and steamy scenes are NOT what makes a good BL. I want an actually well-written plot. Their chemistry was also diminished by how quickly and nonsensically they ended up sleeping together the day they met. I was all too much in a very short amount of time. Anyway, I might be dumb, but wtf was that ending? I just felt like this tried to be way too artistic and failed.
There were kisses and steamy scenes.

Meh. I didn't really like Kinn. He was pushy and posted pictures of Thitnuea without his consent. I did like that his ex was a guy, though. That said, the whole thing with being heartbroken and then thinking replacing your ex as quick as possible is the way to go about it is stupid. Also, how can you fall for someone in less than two days? The women in this were awful. There was nothing new about that. They were literally stalking Kinn and Thitnuea. The kiss was bad. Their lips were touching but not moving whatsoever. They didn't have chemistry. The best part about this was Thitnuea, for sure. He was cute.
There was a kiss.
Happy ending.

Takuya and Jae Joon were such a silly couple. Sometimes I thought it was a little too much, but I still adored them. Although we never really saw them as a couple, they definitely did end up together. It's a shame that they didn't dare let them kiss. At least they both acknowledged their feelings for one another.
No kiss.

Yay, another sad story. I think he did reciprocate his feelings, but internalized homophobia is a thing, and it won once again. Anyway, it wasn't bad, just, as I said, sad.

Ugh. Jade was not cute, he was annoying as fuck. What Mai saw in him, I don't know. Mai was a good boyfriend, I guess, but he was also quite boring. The second couple wasn't much better. I was actually excited to see them together as a couple again, but these characters were meh. I think the acting was mostly good. I just don't know whether Yim played badly or his character required him to constantly look constipated. Overall, I think it's sad to see two couples that do have potential have their chemistry ruined by such a horribly written script.

I feel incredibly conflicted about this series. I enjoyed that it was different, and there were many twists and turns. I really didn't expect things to turn out the way they did. It was way more emotional and heavy than I had anticipated. They brought up so many different and important topics. This is not for someone who likes simple and cute BL's. Also, I'm pretty sure this was the first Thai BL to air on TV, and in prime time at that. That is huge. I mean, Nut continuously proclaimed he was gay and how he had no shame. They also discussed same-sex marriage. I also think the kisses were pretty tame due to it being aired on TV. Anyway, the acting was really good. Job and In both played quite complex characters. Tofu was a gem. A national treasure. The love of my life. I could go on forever. I only wanted the best for him. Nut had a lot of trauma, but that didn't excuse how horribly he treated Tofu at first. If I were Nut, I would have found the whole situation odd, but I wouldn't repeatedly hit Tofu. I would almost say Nut didn't deserve him. Sadly, being the amazing person that he was, he only wanted the best for Nut. Spoilers ahead>>>>>That apparently meant they couldn't be the end game. I also really liked Tathan, but Tofu's fate felt cruel. I guess I can't say more without spoiling too much, but just know that Tofu and Nut did not end up together. That didn't mean that it wasn't technically a happy ending, though. Nut, Tofu, and Tathan were all happy, just not in the way I had hoped. I feel like people will have mixed responses to this kind of ending.
There were kisses.

It was fine, but honestly, it didn't excite me that much. I didn't love them together. They had some cute moments, but ultimately it felt like there was a barrier between them. I really needed more intimacy. There wasn't even a kiss in the last episode. I feel like that is a must. The last episode was just an overall lackluster one. There wasn't anything offensive about the series, as far as I can remember. The plot simply didn't interest me.

I just loved Kuzumi. Don't ask why. I just did. He was just the cutest little thing. I have to mention, though, that he did kiss Kijima when he was unconscious. I'm pretty sure that wasn't his imagination, you know. I think Kijima's personality might've seemed a bit off if you haven't watched Mood Indigo. His former relationship with Kido explains a lot about why he acted the way he did towards Kuzumi. That doesn't justify his weird actions, but it does bring some clarity. Kijima probably felt as if he was disposable and not worthy of a relationship that went deeper than just sex. So that was why he tried to seduce Kuzumi. He most likely assumed that was all Kuzumi wanted. What he might not have known was that Kuzumi always was sincere about his feelings for him. He really liked Kijima. If not loved. Hopefully, we will get to see them act more romantically in the upcoming movie. The acting in this was great. Takezai was especially amazing.

I thought it was a bit repetitive. I would have liked for the conflict to have been solved quicker. It was only at the very end I started getting into it. For most of it, they were apart or fighting. Kijima was still trying to let himself trust others and let himself be vulnerable. At least he ended up taking responsibility for his behavior and mistreatment of Kuzumi. When they finally communicated and shared their feelings, it was very beautiful. Anyway, I did like the movie. I really needed closure. I also liked the new characters. Now I want a series for Shizuo.

Well, that was hard to watch. There were bullies/homophobes, but honestly, the worst person was the other gay character. How cold-hearted do you have to be to not give a fuck when someone is harming themselves? So yeah, this was yet another sad story where the gay characters are discriminated against and lose the will to live. Anyway, the acting was good. I couldn't really tell who the film was rooting for, though, but it was most likely the ones suffering unjustly.
No kiss.
Tragic ending.

I don't know how to feel. I got really invested in them, but I also felt disappointed. This season really just was a taste of what's to come in season two. Well, I hope that's the case because it has so much potential. This season was mostly about their school life and their coming to terms with their feelings. There was no confession of any kind. Everything was very low-key. Even the second couple's status was left open. Anyway, I thought they had great chemistry. The acting was amazing. I could not fault that part about it at all. Their lips touched twice, but I wouldn't call them actual kisses as the first was a dare and the second was retaliation. Overall, I would only recommend this to someone who likes slow-burn romance and has the patience to wait for a conclusion in a second season that may not even become a reality.

I liked the story until everyone started pretending like Miriam wasn't awful. Sure, she had been through a lot, but she committed serious crimes as well. Everyone in this was flawed in some way. Some were VERY flawed and even murderers. I can't say I really liked any of them. Somehow I think Tim turned out to be the best one. I also liked Eve, but after she completely disregarded everything Miriam had done, I mostly stopped caring. Anyway, Matt and Pitch's relationship wasn't the most important thing in this. Well, it was important, but it also wasn't. It was more about how Pitch being in the closet affected their relationship. They ended up stronger than ever, but was it worth it? They both suffered and hurt others so much for it to work. All I can say is that they deserved each other fully. The acting was mostly good. Matt and Pitch didn't have much chemistry, in my opinion. Matt honestly had more chemistry with Tim. That said, everyone had more chemistry with Tim than with their respective partners.

I was quite unsure whether or not Than had given Palm consent in their first sexual encounter. So I didn't really know how to feel. Also, I wasn't sure how old they were supposed to be in this, but probably very young. That made me a little uncomfortable because some scenes went further than just kissing. The mom was great. She didn't change the way she treated her son, even though she knew about his secret. All I can say is, for this being War's first role, he did well. I love him so much, what can I say? I couldn't rate it higher because the story wasn't that amazing nor original.

So, about forty out of the sixty minutes were scenes we've already seen. The scenes that were added could easily have been in TharnType 2: 7 Years Of Love. At least it was free to watch. After watching this, I'm still not excited for Don't Say No. The only thing that would get me excited for that would be Mame not having written it. This would have been a fine ending to their story. Giving them their own season can only mean their relationship is going to get even more toxic. Their relationship is pretty ridiculous. They are so incredibly complicated. Anyway, they finally had their first on-screen kiss. Their intimate scenes were acceptable. They weren't bad, but Fiat (First) seemed a bit stiff considering he was supposed to be pretty experienced. Or at least I assumed he was.

Although this story wouldn't have happened without Kim and Way, it did focus more on the relationship between Khett and Pan. Kim and Khett were brothers. Pan took over Kim's body. Khett liked Pan, so he basically fell for his own brother. I mean, they even kissed at one point when Pan was still in Kim's body. That was weird. I didn't want incest. I wanted Way and Kim to get together. The problem was that we never actually saw Kim in the present, not in Pan's nor his own body. So there weren't any actual interactions between Way and Kim. I was honestly confused the entire time. I wasn't sure how Way felt. Could he not tell that Kim wasn't his usual self? If he had liked Kim long before the point of them swapping bodies, did that mean he only liked Kim for his appearance? If not, how could he still have liked him just the same when his personality had changed? Pan and Kim had very different personalities, so it just didn't make sense. I generally didn't like Pan that much. She was all about getting Way and Kim together, but then she fell for Way, as Kim. She thought Way somehow had figured out that she was in Kim's body, so that must have meant he liked her and not Kim. But my guy never had a clue until she told him. Way and Kim's story was just heartbreaking in a way. This could have been so much better if only they hadn't made it so sad towards the end. Also, there was the mandatory obsessive girlfriend/ex-girlfriend. Boring.

At first, I was invested. That was when I thought this was simply an action BL. I wasn't really into the supernatural stuff. I don't dislike fantasy at all, but in this instance, I found it super confusing. The writing was, in general, not the best. I enjoyed the first episode where they were at the camp, or whatever you call it. I would have preferred it if the rest of the series was more like that part. Anyway, I was happy that this was a BL where the main focus wasn't necessarily the gay romance, but the main characters just happened to be in a same-sex relationship. We badly lack BL's like that. The last half of the final episode was really quite bad. It reminded me of Bollywood movies. They seriously teased a second season at the end. Please, no. It would be a waste of their talent and chemistry.

Jack and Krit's story was so tragic. Krit had to go through so much shit. Spoiler ahead, because honestly, I think it's important to know. You'll understand why you shouldn't watch this for them. So, Jack died. That said, maybe there was hope for Jack? The ending suggested that even people who died weren't necessarily gone forever. If there will be another season, maybe he'll come back? For now, that's just wishful thinking, though. Even if he doesn't, we still have Gun and Nat. Sadly, whatever feelings they had for each other were very vague. All we know is that Gun likes Nat. It could be one-sided, of course. Either way, neither of the couples played a huge part in this. It was more about how Jan was affected by losing Jack in the way she did. Anyway, I thought this was super interesting and well made. A lot was happening, but that also meant there were hardly any boring moments. When people are put in situations like this, it's always intriguing to me how they'll react and adapt. Some want the best for everyone, and others only think about themselves. Then there was the supernatural aspect that just added another layer of fuckery. Like, in a good way. The acting was amazing. I look forward to there hopefully being a second season. I will probably also rewatch it before that.

Yeah, it was cute but nothing groundbreaking. The thing with Ji Soo was dumb, though. No matter what, you can't call dibs on a human being. Eun Gyu and Ji Soo had been friends for over a decade, and something like that was what caused a rift in their relationship? Seriously? Ji Soo just expected Eun Gyu to let him get his way all the time. Anyway, I thought the mains had good chemistry. Their kisses also weren't bad. That bed scene where it cut to black was disappointing, though. I wasn't excepting nor in need of something wild, but anything would have been better than nothing. I enjoyed that there wasn't much denial. I felt like Eun Gyu's doubt came mostly from Ji Soo potently getting mad at him for pursuing Hae Won. Also, Ji Soo was bi/pan. It was just too bad he wasn't a great character. The story wasn't very intriguing, in my opinion. Without the romance, it probably would have been boring. Their first kiss was maybe a little problematic. They both liked each other at that point, but Eun Gyu was drunk, right? Sure, it was just a quick peck, but since it was Hae Won, the sober one, who initiated it, it was wrong. Had it been Eun Gyu, at least you could have said he wasn't in the right state of mind, but Hae Won was fully aware. Overall, it was enjoyable.

What are Off and Gun doing? They are good actors. They can have great chemistry and good kisses. Their two latest series have not reflected that. They were so good in Not Me. Jane and Ryan are the only ones listed as main characters yet they felt like the second couple. Ba Mhee and Tae took up so much of the series and they weren't even good together. Ba Mhee literally cheated on Tae. In general, I thought the characters were either weak or annoying. Pie and Baimon were the only ones I liked. Anyway, the plot was boring and unoriginal. The final episode was so rushed and yet they spent precious time on unnecessary things. Overall, I would only recommend it if you really want more of OffGun.

Oh, why? Green and Chap have great chemistry, but this did not do them justice. The plot was all over the place. The ending was terrible. At least the acting was fine. The characters weren't really likable. Aiaoon was fine at first, but then he became a cheater. Nawee had trauma and a horrible family situation, but that did not excuse his awful behavior. I hope they get to have another series together. It was such a waste of their potential.

With a title like that, I don't really know what I expected. It was so incredibly sexual, obviously. And once again, there was the romanticization of rape. I learned a lot about masturbation, I guess. I don't know what I'll do with that knowledge, though. You've got to applaud the actors for keeping a straight face or even for just participating in this.

Censored romance.
When I first saw that this had fifty episodes, I thought, "That's too many. I'll never get through them." After watching all of them in like a day or two, I thought, "That's it? I want more." I don't know why. There was just something so great about this. I don't know how to describe it, but I could rewatch this again and again. Although they were portrayed as friends, it was somehow obvious that they were more than that. The effects were honestly pretty bad, but I didn't mind at all. If anything, it kind of added charm. I would also like to clarify that I watched this before I read the novel, and I still could tell when they were supposed to have romantic moments. I think they did well, considering all of the restrictions. Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo had amazing chemistry in this. They are also great friends in real life, so maybe that's why.

This was basically the original story but much shorter. I think some scenes were a little bit different, though. As the synopsis suggested, it focused more on just WangXian. It was trying to be ITSAY, but it was just boring. There were SO many flashbacks. There were also a lot of scenes that were way longer than they had to be. I skipped so much of it. I don't understand how you can make a series about such a serious topic a snooze-fest. Apparently, there's more coming. A movie or something? The acting was so-so. This is incredibly overrated. The only reason why people rated this so high was because of the actors starring in it. Khai and Third's relationship was so toxic. I mean, one was a user, and the other was allowing it. Khai was a womanizer. But all of a sudden, he was into Third, and only Third? Sure. I was frustrated the entire time. I didn't like this one bit. GMM should start making BL's that don't send wrong messages, honestly.

So, the first part had a sad ending, and the second part had a happy ending. Except for that, they were almost the same. To me, only the second part mattered. So I'll judge according to that. It was yet another gay love story ruined by homophobia. It was basically Brokeback Mountain, but with much less effort and talent. The acting was very mediocre. The intimate scenes were, to be honest, slightly pathetic. I'm sounding so negative and mean, but homophobia really gets to me. Those village people seriously called them sick. The ending was stupid. Maybe A Ren died, maybe he didn't. Did it matter? Either way, their story had to be sad, apparently.

So, I liked Sailub and Pon's chemistry and Benz and Garfield's chemistry. I loved (almost) everyone's acting. I also like the whole intimidating-demeanor-but-soft-on-the-inside-thing. That said, I thought that both Oab and Methas were too nasty at times. Plawan was a bit annoying and, above all, a liar. JJ was perfect. Simply perfect. Oh well, both couples had some very cute moments either way. I can appreciate that, although the plot was food-themed, it didn't feel like every other food-themed BL. It had some originality to it. I do not like plots centered around deceit, though. Especially when it also revolves around romance. You just know that a big confrontation can come at any time. It made me so uneasy, and I couldn't get past it. I really didn't like how, or more so when, Oab revealed that he knew. He did it right after passionately making love to Plawan. That's kind of fucked up. The fact that the conflict lasted for most of the eighty-minute final episode felt unnecessary to me. Also, even with eighty minutes, it felt like they hadn't thought about the actual ending. It felt rushed, but I guess it was fine. I should also mention that there was an evil ex-girlfriend. How imaginative. Anyway, overall, it was definitely watchable and mostly enjoyable.

It was boring. It wasn't good. It was unnecessarily sad. Pretty much the entirety of episode three was just the main characters falling over. The worst part was the seemingly unrequited love. What a confusing mess. It was probably some of the worst and most inconsistent writing I've ever encountered. There were so many tropes and cliches. Oh my, and the sex scenes where you could clearly see that they were wearing underwear. My favorite. I don't even know how Biu and Park got together. Suddenly they were just being all lovey-dovey. What was up with Kongtap and Little? I have no idea why they were a part of the series. They added nothing. Some women at a party drugged Biu and presumably wanted to take turns raping him. Why was that glossed over? Because they were women? What was even worse was that Park actually raped him. Biu was still drugged and UNABLE to consent. It doesn't matter whether Biu started it. You CANNOT consent when you are drunk or have been drugged. Lastly, the ending was so fucking stupid. More and more of these shitty Thai BL's have open endings. WE DON'T WANT ANOTHER SEASON. JUST END THE PAIN ALREADY. Even the acting left much to be desired.

Ah yes, yet another underwhelming historical BL. They couldn't manage to explore such a complex plot with the short amount of time they had. I was left confused and disappointed. The budget obviously wasn't big. There were quite a lot of sound problems. The acting was okay. I wasn't blown away or anything, but it definitely wasn't bad either. The chemistry was lacking. The kisses were rather stiff. I still appreciated that Jun even dared, though. I mean, he is in an active, somewhat well-known group. I'm sure it could have damaged his reputation. That said, the A.C.E members have never been afraid to support the LGBTQ+ community. You'll like this if you are into mostly cute and short BL's.

I don't really know how to rate this because sometimes the series sucked and other times it had potential. It's like they only started putting in the effort after the first few episodes. It didn't become amazing, though. It went from bad to watchable/decent. Overall, it was fairly forgettable and uninspiring. The first sex scene was actually done well. It's been a while since I was able to sit through the entirety of one. Usually, they are so unnecessary and badly directed. Unfortunately, the second one was your typical Thai BL sex scene. I felt nothing and skipped most of it. I guess that meant it came down to the writing whether they had chemistry or not. The two other couples were a complete waste of time. They felt like filler. The acting was mostly fine. I can't really say the directing and writing allowed them to properly showcase their skills, though. The characters weren't my favorite. Achi kissed Ji without consent and didn't even feel guilty. Ji was your typical BL character. You know the character that almost till the very end refuses to admit their true feelings. It gets boring.

Out of all the recent Korean BL's, this had the best acting, the most convincing kisses, and a decent plot. The actors seemed comfortable with each other, even in the bed scene. Also, we love to see CLEAR consent. I also liked that it was connected to Where Your Eyes Linger, you know, W-story's first BL. A classic at this point. Anyway, the only reason for it not being a ten was the length. I needed more. It's a must-watch for any BL fan, I'd say. Sidenote: Hyung Ki bad, and Ho Min best boy.

Honestly, the high score was solely due to their amazing chemistry. Their kisses are probably the best that I've seen so far in a Korean BL. They are truly great together. However, the issue was that we hardly got to see that chemistry until the last episode. Don't we just love unnecessary break-ups being the only plot writers can come up with for second seasons of BL's? It was torture. It made no sense. The writers themselves didn't even know why they had to break up. All this season did was make me not want them to be together. Ji Woo was terrible. Sure, he could have been going through some things, but he went to extreme lengths to hurt Seo Joon. If I were Seo Joon, I would have given up a million times. Ji Woo literally broke him. Seo Joon had, in my opinion, done nothing wrong. He seemed like a great boyfriend. Ji Woo left him in the worst way possible. I could not agree with how easily Seo Joon forgave him after all that. Don't even get me started on all the time that was wasted on side characters I didn't care about whatsoever. I guess I'm just disappointed. It was way heavier than it needed to be.

Right, so it started with surprise, rape. More specifically, Korn slept with Knock when he was intoxicated. My god, Knock was so shitty. He was selfish, manipulative, and had no concerns about Korn's feelings. He didn't break up with his girlfriend, even when she cheated on him. He also cheated on her, to be fair. He should have just broken up with her right at the beginning. But of course, he couldn't because it was the entire plot of this series. He was so terrified of being gay and never once considered that he could be bi. Plern Pleng was one of the most despicable characters in a BL ever. She was awful. I mean, so were most of the other characters. Prae drugged and tried to rape Farm, and there were no consequences, as always. They really tried to make rape funny. Women can also be rapists, you know. It was disgusting. Phubet and the teacher/Korn's sister's relationship was so unnecessary and unacceptable. Bright was such a creep. He was so much older than Farm. It was weird. He had invited multiple men into having sex with him and Farm, WITHOUT Farm's consent. So there were just so many non-consensual things happening in this series. Also, I actually never liked Yihwa. I didn't think she was very nice. The only good thing about this was Korn and Knock's chemistry. They have improved a lot since Bad Romance.

Cho was so nice to her. That silly girl. Pete. I don't even want to talk about him, so I won't. Oh, what a mess. They ruined Golf and Visith's relationship. Why? Nat and her girlfriend Pink also just weren't together. Whyyyyy? I liked Pink. Instead, Nat liked Kim, I guess. The lesbian liked the gay guy? It seemed that way. She even attempted to rape him. Were there any consequences? Why, of course not. They also really dared to bring Top back and play with my heart. At that point, I really wanted Gus to end up with either no one or someone that was neither Top nor Win. Poor Top, honestly. I mean, he did go after a person who was in a relationship. Could you blame him, though? It worked for him previously. That said, it was still wrong. Luckily, he once again took rejection like a trooper. At least Gus didn't cheat in this one. Then about Win. I still didn't think they had chemistry. Gus and Top's almost kiss was more sizzling than anything we ever saw Gus and Win do together. As much as I felt like Win was what Gus needed from a partner, Gus giving in about the child thing rubbed me the wrong way. Why aren't people allowed not to like/want kids? It was such a waste of time. Of all the series out there, did THIS one really need fifteen episodes? The main couple was hardly the main couple. They didn't even kiss. Also, there were too many couples. I didn't care about any of them. Most of the couples weren't even really couples anyway. The acting was subpar. The kisses were borderline boring. This series was just all over the place. The last few episodes were dreadful, and I had to skip through a lot of scenes. The last episode, in particular, was so unnecessary. It was one of the most underwhelming endings to a series ever. If all of that wasn't bad enough, they really had to mix incest into this already awful cocktail. They never told Simai the truth. He just kept on thinking they were blood-related. It didn't even stop him from making moves on his supposed brother. It was yucky. Eak and Phob had me rolling my eyes. Phob was such a horrible character. I wasn't fond of Eak either, but I would still say he deserved better. Namo was the better choice. Both and Newyear were creepy. Their presence served almost no purpose. Suea and Plawaan were just there, I guess. Copy and Nampu were a weird pairing. Nampu was leaning on predatory. I mean, he did things to Copy when he believed him to be passed out. I found Copy to be the one that I cared about the most. He was cute at times. I liked it much more than I thought I would. I'm so happy to finally see BL writers branch out more. It was only the last few episodes I was less excited to watch. I thought it had kind of run its course at that point. There were plot holes and some generally non-sensical moments, but I still found it pleasant to watch, mostly. The ending was quite silly and disappointing, though. It felt rushed. That said, the teaser at the end was interesting. It made me think that we might get to see Max and Tul together yet again. Also, just like with Manner of Death, this focused more on the plot than the romance. I'm sure some BL viewers want the focus to be on the same-sex couple. That's fine, but that's why I'm mentioning it. Anyway, in my opinion, Tae and Tee have greatly improved their acting. I think it was a good thing that a few years went by before they got their own series. Their chemistry isn't the best in the business, but the nostalgia of it all was what sold it to me. They also would not have had kisses like that five years ago.

It was a decent movie. The acting was good. The BL aspect wasn't really the main plot. It was mostly about grieving. I honestly want a sequel because Jae Hee and Min Ki had potential. The ending was too unsatisfying. Sure, it hinted at a happy ending where they stayed together, but a kiss would really have helped the overall experience. The kiss at the beginning wasn't consensual, so it doesn't count in my book. That said, it would have been a good kiss had it been consensual. Tae Kyung wasn't my favorite. I appreciated that he let Jae Hee be happy, but constantly pushing him away and then saying he doesn't care about you is shitty, especially when Jae Hee was already in mourning. Pretending to faint is also never okay, even if it did result in bringing them closer. Min Ki was so cute. If we disregard the choking, that is. He slightly annoyed me with the whole running away and blaming Jae Hee for his brother's suicide, though. Jae Hee got blamed for everything essentially, and I could understand why that pissed him off. Jae Hee always waited for Min Hoon. Jae Hee always cared about Tae Kyung. Jae Hee apologized to Min Ki. Yet, he was still made out to be the bad guy. I felt bad for him. Anyway, although Jae Hee and Min Ki were cute, the heaviness of the movie doesn't make it worth it for the BL portions, in my opinion.

The only actually good part was the chemistry between the leads. The other three couples were pointless, especially Zee and Salmon. I also thought the leads acted fairly well. Some of the others were lacking. The writing was not good. It was inconsistent and vague. It was so hard to keep track of who was who in the last few episodes. They literally never told us when they switched. We just had their hairstyles to go from. It was painful how they kept the lie going until the very last episode. First deserved better. It was heartbreaking to see him be treated horribly by Zee, whom he thought was in love with him. There were quite a few scenes that weren't needed. I really don't get why we suddenly had to see so much of Tom and his sick mother. It had nothing to do with the story otherwise. Lastly, let's talk about consent. Thun made out with and possibly had sex with Sam when he knew he was drunk. I also thought that it was questionable that Sprite had sex with First before he told him his true identity. Technically, First thought he was having sex with someone else. Consent just seemed dubious at times. In conclusion, let Ryan and Frame be a couple in a better-written series.

It was a little sad. Not because of Louis' revelation, but because Pond seemed to be actually into Golf. They had much better chemistry. That could also be because we didn't really see Golf and Louis together much. Anyway, not telling your partner about such an important thing is sucky. Instead, Louis felt it was a better idea to make both of them miserable? Okay. The actual worst part was Golf's fetishizing friend. Asking if Louis might have gone back to liking girls is so stupid. He could be bi/pan. She also asked Golf whether they had been intimate yet or not. It wasn't her place to ask that.

Once again, I skipped most of the straight couple. They weren't bad. I didn't care much about them, is all. BM and Pitcher weren't shown together much, but they were important to the story. BM sucked. Whether drunk or not, he did attempt to rape Minute. That whole thing didn't even make sense. He clearly told Minute that he was gay. If he were attracted to Minute, a woman, he was NOT gay. He would at most be bi or pan. These dramas tend to think there is only gay and straight. It's simply not true. Plus, BM doing that made him a cheater as well. He really went to Pitcher and told him to trust him after doing that. Not that Pitcher was great either. He should not have aired Minute's dirty laundry to the world as some form of revenge. It wasn't like Minute was at fault. She didn't tell BM to like her. Anyway, I liked that BM had the courage to tell his mother. I only wished he didn't try to apologize for it afterward, though. You know, for being with a man. That said, I thought they should have just broken up, honestly.

Momose was pretty creepy and forceful. He even resorted to blackmail to get what he wanted. I was aware that he didn't actually want to tell anyone about Yashiro's secret, but it was still wrong of him. The scene where he almost sexually assaulted Yashiro was heartbreaking. I got very uncomfortable when Yashiro begged Momose to stop. Yashiro even felt guilty about rejecting him and apologized. Yes, Yashiro did invite Momose over, but when they got there, he changed his mind, and he had every right to do so. Momose was just so clueless about consent. I'm pretty sure Momose didn't realize he was hurting Yashiro, and he did apologize, but what about the next time he didn't get his way? Would he have learned? Hopefully. Was Yashiro gay, bi, straight or pan? I wasn't sure. I mean, he seemed to be attracted to Yashiro when he was cross-dressing, mostly. Also, did Yashiro identify as a man, a woman, or maybe even neither? I didn't know. It was all a bit confusing. The only reason why I cared was that I really hoped Yashiro cross-dressing wasn't just some fetish to Momose. But they both seemed happy at the end, I guess. Well, it was even more cringey than I thought it would be. The BDSM aspect of it was laughable. Yoon and Ton also had no chemistry. The characters were bad. The plot was silly and cliche. The "action" scenes were pointless. I literally only cared about Baiboon and Khom. Their ending was unsatisfying, though. Give them their own series. Although it was sudden, they were cute together. If Lukas hadn't been crazy, that is. The ending was very much the opposite of cute. Lukas was obviously not mentally stable. At times I really enjoyed it, but it also got a bit repetitive. There was a lot of back and forth, especially with the side couple. I liked the characters, mostly. They all were a bit annoying and foolish sometimes, except Ho Tae. He was great. Dong Hee did him dirty. The way that couple's story concluded was lackluster. I mean, the main couple's ending wasn't particularly great, either. Yes, it was a happy ending, but it was also just meh. The kisses were disappointing. At least the hugs were nice, even if there were a bit too many added as a way to avoid kisses. Which, to be honest, might have been a blessing in disguise, considering how not great the kisses were. It was a shame because I liked the main couple together otherwise. There was definite potential. The acting was mostly good. Gong Chan seemed a bit inexperienced compared to the rest. You know, they almost had me. It was just those few things that brought down my rating quite a bit.

I got to episode eight and there was still no real development between the main couple. I didn't really want them to get together anyway. They had been stepbrothers for way too long for me to feel fine with them getting romantically involved. I couldn't picture them together at all. I didn't like the characters. Wei Qian was straight-up mean. I know it would be shocking to find out your stepsibling is in love with you, but that wasn't his problem. He got super upset and violent just because they both were men. Zhi Yuan kissed him without consent, but Zhi Yuan was also drunk. Anyway, that was all to say that I was by no means rooting for them. I liked how unpredictable yet reliable Dean was. I would trust that man with my life, honestly. Pharm was emotional, but he wasn't a doormat. He stood up for himself and set boundaries. Fluke is a great actor, and his tears ducts work phenomenally. Earth also did amazing. Every actor did their job well, actually. Fluke and Earth really know how to convey the emotions of their characters even more convincingly, though. The plot itself was an interesting premise for a BL. There were so many details that you maybe wouldn't notice on your own. I appreciated that a lot. Also, it made me cry. I don't cry easily, but this made me tear up every other episode. Korn and In's story was simply heartbreaking. Pharm and Korn were the most pitiful characters. Pharm was left with all the bad memories and all the trauma. As for Korn, he was obviously struggling a lot more than we saw. He was abused and depressed. No matter how much he and In loved each other, it wouldn't fill the void. Dean and Pharm loved each other openly. That is so rare in BL's. They did get a lot of support from everyone around them, to be fair. Also, neither of them ever cared about their sexualities or were even remotely concerned with each other's gender. Anyway, Wasn't Team still drunk when he and Win kissed? I don't think they slept together, but either way, if he were drunk, he would have been unable to consent. They were doing so well with the consent until that. Lastly, we had a bisexual character for once. Thank you!

This was a seriously wild ride. I enjoyed that it was different, but their relationship was so complicated. Hira seemed like this innocent victim of bullying, but some of the things he thought about doing to others were scary. He seemed to forget that he wasn't the only one with feelings. Hira was also truly a stalker and quite creepy. Kiyoi was an asshole at times, but I felt bad for him as time went on. He was trying to reconnect with Hira, but Hira kept giving up because he couldn't fathom that Kiyoi would ever like him back. Thinking that way is called invalidating others' feelings. I wanted to knock some sense into him. Of course, I'm not excusing Kiyoi's nasty behavior toward Hira. They were obsessed, not in love. My favorite part was when Kiyoi finally spoke his mind and told Hira to either be his boyfriend or fuck off. Well, he didn't say that, but it was basically the ultimatum he gave. Then after that, Kiyoi acted all cute and shit. I really liked that side of him. So, the whole thing with Koyama. This was another case of Hira not considering others' feelings. I actually didn't understand what their relationship was. Koyama's brother said they were dating. Hira also didn't deny it when Kiyoi asked about it, but then Koyama confessed to Hira. So did they date or not? Koyama probably was the better choice. That said, when he tried to make Kiyoi jealous, I started wondering how true that statement was. The acting was pretty good.

It's finally over!! As so many times before, the creators of the series tried to make up for the lousy writing by adding plenty of sex scenes. It was so uncomfortable. It especially didn't work because there was no chemistry. The couples fought a lot and then made up. That's normal, but none of them ever learned from their mistakes. They would just end up in the same situations again and again. Sky was overbearing and pushy, and Vee was just not likable. I don't get why Sky liked him. I mean, he even put people's lives at risk just to court him. It was so dangerous what he was doing. He was constantly tired and worn out and then operating on patients and driving. Baitong and Tonkla were such a pointless and boring couple. Janus and Bom were the least uninteresting couple. I think it's just because I didn't dislike their characters. Also, I know I watched the uncut version, but how did they make the episodes so long? I really don't get it, considering that there was literally no plot. Anyway, I don't actually think the actors are bad. They were given an impossible task. I think it was the writing. I didn't think Sea and Jimmy had any chemistry. Their dialogues were beyond cheesy. Their kisses made me feel absolutely nothing. I actually really enjoyed it. I did skip some of the straight parts but stuck around for most of it. All the characters had problems that needed to be assessed. It was nice to see them grow and find happiness. It's somewhat rare to find a well-written story with complex, flawed, yet likable characters. My favorite was Natt. He was a very wise man. He helped the others every time they were going through tough times. He was also just a great representative of the LGBTQ+ community. He wasn't predatory nor someone who only sought physical intimacy. Basically, he wasn't some stereotypical gay man. Anyway, there were, of course, some moments in the series that I found unnecessary and maybe even slightly problematic, but perhaps that's just life for you. There was a lot of genuinely good advice in this. So, about Natt and Boy. Boy was simply adorable. I wasn't sure about him at first, but he proved to be someone that wholeheartedly cared about Natt. Since there were five main characters, they weren't the main focus of the series, but Natt was one of the five mains, so they were somewhat significant. I still wouldn't say it's worth watching this solely for them. I guess you can skip the straight couples scenes if you want to.

What I liked most about both the seasons was how there was a lot of heartbreak and misunderstanding, but it hardly ever frustrated me. I was entertained and didn't dislike any of the couples. There weren't any necessarily bad or good people, well, except Natt. That said, I am biased. Natt was my favorite, after all. He made it his mission to practice what he preached. That's very admirable. I would love to have a friend like him. I don't think I mentioned it previously, but another thing that made this brilliant was the acting. Everyone did so well. The plot was also good this time around. I don't know. I learned a lot, I guess. The thing that saddened me the most was that both the LGBTQ+ couples fell through. My love for Boy did fade out in this. He was too immature, and Natt was always the one keeping things civil. Boy didn't put in enough effort and somewhat disregarded Natt's feelings. Basically, I did want them to break up, but I would have liked for Natt to have found someone else then. They did hint that he would, but it was at the very end, as a cheap way to satisfy us. Then there was Aei discovering her sexuality. While I didn't love Miriam, I would have liked for them to have communicated instead of senselessly giving up. They also got together so quickly. I was a bit taken aback. What was most disappointing was how she ended with a guy. Sure, she was allowed to, but why not give us a functioning GL couple?

Once again, it was fine. The plot was rather generic. I can't claim to have been all that into the boxing parts. I also don't generally enjoy fake relationships. I didn't particularly like or dislike the main couple. At first, they had great chemistry, then, later on, not as much. I just almost always feel like BL series struggle with what to do with the couples once they've confessed and gotten together. They rarely keep it interesting. I also wasn't a huge fan of Yoryak. I found him to be a bit annoying and childish. Wandee I mostly liked. Inn seemed to have improved his acting. The second couple, I think I liked. I really liked Cher. He was so supportive and cute. Oye was a bit less likable to me. That said, they gave us our first legal gay marriage in a BL. I'm so happy on behalf of our Thai queer community!! There was also some much-needed asexual representation, even if it was a very small part of the series. I know firsthand how hard it is to be homo/biromantic and asexual. Lastly, I feel the need to express how tired I am of watching one of the characters almost get raped just so that his love interest is able to come and save him. The rapists are never even punished. It's gross.
There were kisses and steamy scenes.
Happy ending.
Would I recommend it to a BL fan: Yes and no.

Right. What a difficult series to get through. The pain wasn't worth it. I didn't like any of the couples. How could I possibly root for such shitty people? There were some decent characters, but they were sparse. I felt like it was a bunch of uncomfortable situations mixed with the occasional misplaced steamy scene. The only nice thing was the actors themselves. They did well. I get that they wanted to show how nasty the BL and the entertainment industry, in general, can be, but this was just too much. I don't even know how to describe the ding. Was I supposed to find the injustice satisfying? Anyway, if you want to know who ended up together, I couldn't really tell you. Most of the couple's endings confused me.

Almost all the couples sucked. Most of them should have stayed single. All the female characters sucked. I mean, the only really likable character in this series was Apo. Fay did get cheated on, but taking it out on Apo was wrong. Pan was a bully and very selfish. Her whole story felt like a girl who thought she was gay, but in fact, she just hadn't met the right guy yet. Namkhaeng was okay, but doing anything to get with a guy is portraying women as weak beings. Mai was a sexual harasser and a cheater. Wan did have good intentions, but her methods were severely flawed. Why can't we have good female characters in BL's? The reason why Min, Kluay, and Fah were no longer friends was idiotic. The plot/writing was, in general, non-sensical and bad. They spent so much time on pointless storylines. Waii and Apo pretty much became a side couple. Their relationship made no sense. Waii and Apo should not have been together. I mean, Waii was a fucking coward, and he didn't deserve Apo one bit. Apo was a sweetheart the whole way through, even when Waii was hurting him by not being able to break up with his girlfriend. He almost raped Apo. He tried to destroy his dad's happiness. Yes, your dad dating your friend is weird, but he had no right. He also showed homophobic behavior. What was the deal with Puth and Sung? Was it solely jealousy between friends? I somewhat liked Kluay and Achi. Kluay taking so long to accept his feelings made me lose interest, though. Overall, the grudges these characters held were frustrating and boring.

Happy ending.

Nune, Meuk's girlfriend, was actually not horrible. Wow. She was a bit annoying, but he did cheat on her after all. Meuk didn't care about Nune whatsoever. It was shitty of him to disregard her feelings. Nam bothered me. He was nasty towards Karn. I guess he was right about him in the end, but he still shouldn't compromise his dad's happiness. I will say, though, that it is a bit creepy for your partner to be around the same age as one of your children. I was a bit torn about that whole thing. Nam was also quite violent. He let his fist do a lot of the talking. The acting was okay. The chemistry was also okay. The kiss, to me, was weird. It was very aggressive and passionate, but it looked odd because of the lack of tongue. Maybe I'm just overanalyzing it, though. The movie felt a bit randomly put together. It was choppy, essentially.
There was a kiss.

It was a pretty standard BL. Nothing really set it apart from all the others, besides the fact that it was pretty lengthy. The main couple bored me. Phum was incredibly boring. I couldn't tell whether it was the character or Pond's acting. Something just felt off. I really liked Peem, though. Phuwin did a great job portraying him. He seemed to have improved his acting. That said, I thought some of his kisses were awkward. I don't remember feeling that way about his previous kisses. Maybe he was just tired after sixteen long episodes. I don't know. Toey and Q were also boring to me. I liked Toey but felt indifferent towards Q. I also still don't think they have chemistry. Tan and Fang together made me feel torn. I couldn't quite figure out whether Tan was overwhelming or sweet. I guess I mostly did like them together. Chain and Pun were a no for me. It took way too long for them to get together. I mean, it took the entire series. All of that just for Chain to then confess when Pun was drunk out of his mind. He kissed him without his consent. Pun, as a character also frustrated me. He was one of those unbelievably dense people who make you want to shake them until they understand basic logic. It also didn't help them as a pairing that Marc's acting looked stiff. Overall, I didn't hate it, but I am not sad that it's over.
There were kisses.
Happy ending.

I don't even care. Don't watch this. One of them dies because two men aren't allowed to live happily ever after, apparently.
