1. Your Name Engraved Herein
Taiwanese Movie - 2020
It was not my cup of tea. It was very raw in the ways I do not like. Other raw movies like Better Days I like, but this is a different kind of raw. I do think that people who enjoy raw movies should try this one out tho to see for themselves if they like it or not.
I was multitasking whilst watching this movie and I don't think that I would've completed it otherwise. It was entertaining enough to have in the background.
Both the story and the characters were very meh. Maybe it was due to me multitasking, but I got confused over their relationship status a lot and also if some of the things we saw were dreams or not. The story itself wasn't confusing, as I did pay attention, it was just their relationship I was confused about.
I also think that just because it's about serious topics doesn't mean that I have to enjoy the movie. I can still support and stand behind important messages like the ones in the movie without having to give it a high score just because of it. Story and characters are very important to me and this story and its characters just wasn't my cup of tea is all.
Will probably never rewatch this.

2. Hidamari ga Kikoeru
Japanese Movie - 2017
Rewatched January 16th. List: Movies I've Rewatched.
It's very pure and short. Sadly it wasn't as good as I remembered. It's a cute and sad movie with very stereotypical characters (which doesn't have to be a bad thing but since the movie is so short it's difficult to make them stand out from the crowd).
I lowered the score quite a bit and I don't think I'll rewatch it again.

3. Punishment
Korean Movie - 2021
I watched this movie because of Ji Changwook but it was entertaining. It's the "classic" bomb action thriller story, but it's one of the better ones. We hear Ji Changwook's voice more than we see him; wish he was more on screen. But he is really talented in playing various types of roles whilst still keeping that Wookie style (if you know you know lol). The other actors were really good as well and I recognise all the most important actors/actresses + a couple side characters as well. Lee Jaein is quite talented and I hope to see more of her in the future.
I have to say that some action shows (or actually most of them) stress me out and sometimes trigger my anxiety. So Hard Hit did make me a bit stressed, but often that's the purpose of these types of movies, so I guess it succeeded in that aspect as well.
(Spoiler) And the ending... –_–; it– it could've ended waaay before had he thought of that trick earlier... But you know, it's a movie..
I don't know if I would rewatch this. I think I prefer Fabricated City more. But I'm always happy to see Ji Changwook in dramas and movies ^^ I hope he'll remain as an actor for as long as possible~! <3
p.s. I'm REALLY looking forward to The Worst Evil that is said to air this year! I have high expectations having Wookie and Wi Hajoon as the main leads!!!

4. Miss Granny
Korean Movie - 2014
Rewatched January 24th – 26th. List: Movies I've Rewatched.
It's been a long time since I watched this movie for the first time. Back then I really liked it since the concept of becoming young again was new to me. Although the movie is still enjoyable, I found myself questioning what I liked so much the first time I saw it.
Comparing it to my current favourite Kdrama, 18 Again, there is a big gap for me. They are quite similar with the life lessons and stuff, but I just prefer 18 Again over Miss Granny.
Maybe I'll rewatch this in the far future someday :)

5. Fabricated City
Korean Movie - 2017
Rewatched January 31st. List: Movies I've Rewatched.
When you're doing a Ji Changwook marathon you cannot miss out on Fabricated City. This is definitely one of my favourite action movies. This is my 2nd time I rewatch it and every time you see just how horrible his character was treated by the many villains of this story. (Spoiler) He gets falsely accused of r*pe and murder with no one but his mother who believes him, gets lifetime imprisonment, gets assaulted by his prison mates, gets isolated in complete darkness for 30 days, gets r*ped in prison, tries to kill himself, his mother gets murdered and this evil lawyer who's the mastermind behind it all tries to do everything to put him back in prison. Having watched a lot of Ji Changwook content lately, I see this pattern of his character getting screwed over all the time. But Fabricated City is most definitely the cruelest of what I've seen so far.
It's a very entertaining action thriller movie with many tropes that I enjoy watching, like going from weak to strong (a.k.a. character development lol). There is a very big chance of me rewatching this movie sometime in the future :)

6. Smartphone
Korean Movie - 2023
It was good! It was what I had expected (although I kind of hoped it would've exceeded my expectations). Im Siwan was creepy as always; he always plays antagonistic roles so well!
I did feel like there was a bit information overload in the first few minutes in the way it was filmed (it was a bit much for me and I wasn't a big fan of how they shot it). It has its flaws with all the unanswered questions, but other than that I'm very satisfied with this movie! Not too thrilling, just right!

7. Midnight Runners
Korean Movie - 2017
Rewatched February 21st. List: Movies I've Rewatched.
I wanted to watch a movie together with my parents on my birthday so I chose this one. It's still good :) Comedy but with a very serious case.
I'm now 21 but I don't feel any different from yesterday. Today was nothing special.

8. Lovely Complex
Japanese Movie - 2006
Wow, this was awful... I decided to watch this movie because I just finished rewatching the anime for the 8th time. The Lovely Complex anime is one of my favourites yet I hadn't seen the movie... until now... I have regrets *sigh*... There are so many things that are different and they didn't show any of my favourite moments (or just brushed past them). The comedy in the movie is non-existent, and the comedy is one of the best things within the anime.
This was just so bad... Didn't think I would ever complete something I give a 1/10 to... At least this sh*t movie makes me appreciate the anime even more than I already did.
Update: I read the manga after this and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life

9. The Disastrous Life of Saiki K
Japanese Movie - 2017
I watched it because I just completed the anime and because Yamazaki Kento, but this live action movie wasn’t good. I like the anime a lot tho and the amount of times they mentioned Yamazaki Kento in the anime was really funny. Wish this movie was more entertaining, but it’s a difficult anime to adapt into a live action to begin with. It gets a 2/10 because I like Yamazaki Kento and because Kaidou is best boy.

10. Seven Days: Monday - Thursday
Japanese Movie - 2015
I've known about these couple of movies a couple of years ago now but I didn't watch them until now. I read the manga for the first time some years ago but then I reread it last week. Enjoying it more than my first read, I decided to try watching the movies as well.
It was good. The story stays fateful to the manga. The actors don't look like how I pictured them based on how they look in the manga, but it's fine. The actors portray the characters well so it doesn't matter. Even though it took a while, I'm glad I watched it at least now. I'll watch the next movie as well.

11. Seven Days: Friday - Sunday
Japanese Movie - 2015
Part 2 flowed nicely after part 1, still staying true to the manga. Although it has its problems, I still really like the story. But part 2 felt a bit too long because the scenes were shot without many cuts and they moved and talked so slowly with lots of emptiness in between. It was a bit frustrating as I'm someone who likes when it's normal to fast paced (usually). When I read manga I read pretty quickly as well.
I think that both Seven Days movies were equally good :)

12. Soshite, Baton wa Watasa Reta
Japanese Movie - 2021
A beautiful movie. I had to fight back my tears so that my parents wouldn't see me cry, haha ^^; Although it was probably rather obvious, I didn't expect that plot twist in the middle. The 2nd plot twist I had foreseen, but I don't like that stuff and I probably wouldn't have watched this movie had I known about it beforehand. But I'm still glad I watched it because the movie was really beautiful. I have to say that the male lead was the least interesting character tho lol. I liked the fathers a lot more, especially her two step fathers, the oldest one and Tanaka Kei's character. I picked up this because of Tanaka Kei and Nagano Mei as I like both of them.
I probably wouldn't rewatch it, but it was definitely worth my time :)

13. Kill Bok Soon
Korean Movie - 2023
What was the message? It was an entertaining movie with lots of action, but what was the purpose of this movie? Why should I care about the characters? What should I take with me from this movie? Not knowing the answer to these questions is why this movie is average.
I think I saw some comments asking what the purpose of there being a lesbian romance in this was, but I think it fits right into this movie since the movie has no purpose, as far as I can see. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh; it was an entertaining movie. But yeah, that's about it.

14. Zombie 100
Japanese Movie - 2023
I wanted to see it because of the lead actor from Cherry Magic and because the trailer looked funny. I watched it together with my mum and it was an alright movie :)

15. The Ghost and I Becoming Family
Taiwanese Movie - 2022
I've been meaning to watch this movie for a while because the synopsis sound interesting and since Greg plays the lead role. Now I've finally watched it. It was good. The case wasn't too special, but the comedy and bromance was nice. The acting was also really good.
