Overhyped (imho)
Stuff that I feel is overhyped for some or more reasons. I’ll probably add why I think so but idk. I mean no offense to people who love any of these shows, personal taste varies between people. Just something for me to do during quarantine. Also, just because I think something is overhyped doesn’t necessarily mean I disliked it vehemently.
A lot of the comments are just direct from my watchlist notes.

1. A Korean Odyssey
Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes
Ain't no love like magically-forced love. Got messier than a girl’s first unexpected period though.

2. Another Miss Oh
Korean Drama - 2016, 18 episodes
In my eyes both leads (and a few supporting characters) were selfish people, but especially the male lead. I could not enjoy this when I watched it and kept on thinking how uninterested I was whether or not they got together. I ended up finishing it solely to see if the writer could redeem these characters, at least to a certain extent and nope. Still hate them lol.

3. Coffee Prince
Korean Drama - 2007, 17 episodes
To me it's something you gotta watch when it's coming out or shortly after or maybe at the very least be one of the first kdramas you watch. Didn’t hold up in my eyes and I'm not interested to see how it ends. Dropped at maybe episode 13, but it’s been a few years so I forget lol.

4. Descendants of the Sun
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Lovely bromance, wasn't all that interested in the plot or the main couple though so I dropped it. The stakes for a lot of the plot points just didn’t get me invested. Kinda boring? I feel like if you felt the romance was interesting enough it was great, but if you watched for the rest of the plot not much to write home about. Had it’s moments but meh.

8. Man to Man
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Like the bromance, hate the romance. Unfortunately I do not like the female lead’s acting in this particular drama, she’s great in other stuff so it’s probably due to the director/writer’s direction but it’s kinda overdone. Additionally, her character is ridiculous in the worst way. How she somehow holds down a job and claims to be a functional adult and not a 13 year old child is beyond me. Even 13 year olds would probably act less ridiculously than the female lead.
And at the end of the day the friendship and antics of the male leads couldn’t save it for me.
