What is the difference between a trope and a cliche?

By definition. A trope is an idea or device that repeatedly appears. A cliché is a phrase or saying that attempts to explain many situations. Same thing.

We already met as kids, wrist grabs, amnesia and prosopagnosia. Fun despite all of these.
