Upcoming K-drama "Beneficial Fraud" confirmed to premiere this May!

The upcoming K-drama Beneficial Fraud starring Chun Woo Hee and Kim Dong Wook announced its premiere date.

On February 27, it was officially confirmed that Beneficial Fraud will air its first episode on May 29, at 8:50 PM KST. It will be part of tvN's Monday and Tuesday K-drama timeslot. 

Beneficial Fraud will tell the story of the collaborative scam of two different individuals against evil. One is an unsympathetic fraudster and the other is an emphatic lawyer.

The upcoming K-drama will be directed by Lee Soo Hyun (Sh**ting Stars and Find Me in Your Memory) and written by Han Woo Joo.

The production team of the series shared, "Beneficial Fraud will showcase the deep catharsis of a man and a woman with two different temperaments and how they will work together in having revenge. Chun Woo Hee and Kim Dong Wook will surely give the viewers a thrilling pleasure and vicarious satisfaction in the upcoming series."

Chun Woo Hee will play the role of Yi Reum. She is an unsympathetic scammer. She collects money by hiding through different faces and eloquent words. When she was young, she is known for being good at memorization.

This will be her grand comeback to the small screens after four years. She will also star in the upcoming series Money Game with Ryu Joon Yeol, Park Jung Min, Park Hae Joon, Bae Sung Woo, and Moon Jung Hee. 

The actress started the year with the Netflix original film Unlocked with ZE: A's Yim Si Wan, Kim Hee Won, Kim Ye Won, Park Ho San, and Jeon Jin Oh.

Kim Dong Wook on the other hand will play the role of Han Moo Young. He is an overly sympathetic lawyer, the total opposite of Yi Reum.

This will be the first K-drama project of Kim Dong Wook for the year. After Beneficial Fraud, he will also star in the upcoming series Run Into You with Jin Ki Joo, Seo Ji Hye, Lee Won Jung, Lee Ji Hyun, and Lee Kyu Hoe. 

Last year, Kim Dong Wook led the TVING K-drama The King of Pigs with Kim Sung Gyu, Chae Jung An, Choi Hyun Jin, Sim Hyun Seo, and Lee Chan Yoo.
