Song Ji Hyo is returning to the drama scene with TVING!
On February 2, Song Ji Hyo confirmed her role on the upcoming 8-episode original drama "Come to the Witch Restaurant" from TVING.
Song Ji Hyo will play the role of Jo Hee Ra, a mysterious character that we don't know much. She is the owner of a restaurant that sells magical dishes that make people's wishes come true.
"Come to the Witch Restaurant" is based off of a novel written by Koo Sang Hee. The novel won the 'Kyobo Book Center's Novel Contest' in 2015. The drama will be a collaboration of director So Jae Hyun and writer Lee Young Sook. It will be produced by Apollo Studio. Nam Ji Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop are both in talks to join Song Ji Hyo on the upcoming drama.
Song Ji Hyo's most recent drama was the 2020 "Was It Love" with Son Ho Jun. The actress has been active in acting and in many other fields. She recently appeared as a guest on theNetflix's mystery variety show "Busted 3". Song Ji Hyo also received much praise on how she portrayed her character in the 2020 movie "Intruder". She's currently active as a "Running Man" (Korean variety show that's been airing for more than 10 years) member and a brand endorser.
Song Ji Hyo has solidified her career with her charm and skills.
Expectations are already high with Song Ji Hyo portraying the cold and unique character of Jo Hee Ra on "Come to the Witch Restaurant". The drama will have eight episodes and will air exclusively on TVING, an over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform in Korea. It is set to air in 2021.
