Son Suk Ku will reportedly add another upcoming movie to his filmography.
On August 27, media outlets reported that Son Suk Ku has been chosen to be the main lead of the upcoming sci-fi movie titled Moon You (working title).
A representative from Son Suk Ku's agency shared their side regarding the casting. According to them, "Actor Son Suk Ku received the offer to star in Moon You and he is positively considering it."
Moon You will tell the stories and struggles of astronauts that were left behind on the moon after an asteroid collision destroys Earth. The story will be based on a Naver webtoon of the same title by Cho Seok.
The upcoming film will be the next work of director Kang Hyung Chul who is also known for creating the movies Swing Kids, Tazza 2: The Hidden Card, and Sunny.
Son Suk Ku will reportedly portray the role of the main character who will find a way back home from the isolated moon.
The release and filming date of Moon You have not yet been revealed.
In 2024, Son Suk Ku starred in the movie Troll Factory and Night Fishing. The actor is also expected to lead the upcoming film Virus with Kim Yoon Seok, Bae Doo Na, Moon Sun Yong, Kwak Jin, and Kim Kyung Il.
Aside from films, Son Suk Ku will also be part of the upcoming K-dramas Nine Puzzle with Kim Da Mi and More Beautiful Than Heaven with Kim Hye Ja, Han Ji Min, Lee Jung Eun, and Ryu Deok Hwan.
