The long wait is over! Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah's upcoming drama confirmed its airing date.
tvN confirms the premiere date of "Hometown ChaChaCha" on July 20th after releasing the first official poster of the drama. In the teaser photo, main leads Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah are included together with the premiere date which is on August 28th at 9 PM KST.
"Hometown ChaChaCha" will air every Saturday and Sunday starting on August 28. It will replace the timeslot of ongoing drama "The Devil Judge."
The romantic comedy drama is one of the most anticipated series for the second half of the year with the first-ever partnership of dimple duo Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho. Lee Sang Yi who's also gaining lots of popularity for his singing will also be part of the drama. Other cast members include Jo Han Chul, In Gyo Jin, Lee Bong Ryun, and more.
The story of "Hometown ChaChaCha" will be based on the 2004 Korean movie "Mr.Hong." The drama will narrate how a dentist and a local legend will fall for each other. Shin Min Ah will play the role of Yoon Hye Jin, a dentist who will be forced to relocate to a seaside village called Gongjin. Kim Seon Ho on the other hand will play the role of Mr. Hong (Hong Doo Shik). He's an unemployed but friendly and helpful guy in the Gongjin village.
The drama will have a total of 20 episodes and it will be directed by Yoo Je Won ("The King: Eternal Monarch" and "Hi Bye, Mama!") and written by Shin Ha Eun ("The Crowned Clown").
"Hometown ChaChaCha" will be Kim Seon Ho's next drama after he rose to stardom with tvN drama "Start-Up."
Meanwhile this will be Shin Min Ah's first drama in 2021. She is also set to lead the upcoming dramas "I am a Nurse, a Human," "Our Blues," and "Here".
Lee Sang Yi was part of the recently ended KBS drama "Youth of May". He is also participating in the MSG Wannabe project of variety show "How Do You Play?".
