Musical actor Park Kang Hyun is all set for his drama debut as a lead in the drama Heartbeat

The upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama Heartbeat released stills of Park Kang Hyun, who will be seen as Shin Do Shik in the K-drama.

Shin Do Shik is a real estate development specialist and the CEO of "Refresh" company. Despite his chic appearance, he possesses a modest and caring demeanor.

In regards to choosing this project, Park Kang Hyun stated, "The fantastic concept of the drama was extremely intriguing, and I was attracted to the charm of the character Shin Do Sik. I hope many people look forward to discovering the hidden twists of the character". He also added, "It's both heartwarming and amusing to see Do Sik facing repeated refusals from Joo In Hae without losing his self-esteem. He consistently cares for her and strives to be helpful".

Park Kang Hyun also talked about the similarities between him and his character, stating, "I believe I share similarities with Do Sik in my inclination to go the extra mile and care for someone I hold dear". He added, "But, unlike Do Sik, I don't think I would fall in love again with someone I had a crush on in the past, even if we were to meet after a considerable period of time".

Describing Shin Do Sik, Park Kang Hyun called him an "introverted being", a "tender-hearted person", and a "perfectionist". He explained, "Do Sik doesn't easily reveal his emotions to others and possesses great patience", and continued, "He values persistence more than anything. He is a successful entrepreneur who focuses on both the process and results for achieving the goals he sets for himself".

Lastly, Park Kang Hyun expressed his hopes for the drama, saying, "As this is my first drama work, I hope it brings joy to viewers, especially, for those who may have grown weary or disenchanted with life for various reasons. I hope Heartbeat allows them to see the world through a more beautiful lens and rekindle warmth in their hearts".

Heartbeat will premiere on June 26.
