Park Bo Young will reportedly lead another K-drama!
On November 26, media outlets reported that Park Bo Young will play the main lead in the upcoming K-drama Goldland.
According to reports, Park Bo Young will join hands with the team behind the hit 2018 movie Rampant.
Park Bo Young's agency, BH Entertainment, shared its side regarding the casting. They said, "The actress received the offer to appear in the K-drama, and she is currently reviewing it."
Goldland will revolve around the first casino in Korea built on abandoned mines, which have been underdeveloped due to the specification of the coal business.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next collaboration work of director Kim Sung Hoon (Chief Detective 1958 and My Little Hero) and writer Hwang Jo Yoon (Memoir of a Murderer and Confidential Assignment). The K-drama will reportedly be produced by Studio Dragon.
Park Bo Young got the offer to play the role of Kim Hee Joo. She came from a well-off family. After becoming independent and away from her parents, she fell in love with a man she met while working in Goldland. She will face difficulties in both love and money after being involved in a mysterious murder case.
Goldland will reportedly premiere on an OTT streaming platform.
If Park Bo Young confirms her appearance, this will be her fourth upcoming K-drama.
The actress was last seen in the 2023 Netflix original K-drama Daily Dose of Sunshine.
Next month, Park Bo Young will star in the upcoming Disney+ original series Light Shop with Ju Ji Hoon, Park Bo Young, Kim Seol Hyun, Bae Sung Woo, Uhm Tae Goo, and Lee Jung Eun.
Park Bo Young will also lead the new K-dramas Melo Movie and Unknown Seoul.
