Actor Oh Young Soo who is most known for starring in the phenomenal Netflix original series "Squid Game" will officially have his first trial for forced harassment next month.

On January 24, the Suwon District Court Seongnam Branch's Criminal Affairs Unit 6 shared that the first trial of Oh Young Soo will be on February 3. The actor will face trial for charges of forced harassment. 

Last November, it was revealed that Oh Young Soo is suspected of forced harassment of a woman back in 2017. The alleged victim filed a complaint to the police in December 2021 but no warrant was issued. Oh Young Soo was indicted without detention after re-investigating the complaint. 

The alleged victim then appealed the decision and the Seongnam branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office opened the case and reinvestigate again.

Actor Oh Young Soo responded to the accusations. The actor denied it at the prosecution's investigation and stated that the claim of the other party is not true. As the prosecution indicted Oh Young Soo without detention, he was put on trial five years after the incident.

Next month, he will officially sit on his first trial for the charges of forced harassment. 

Currently, actor Oh Young Soo has no upcoming projects.

Oh Young Soo became popular worldwide after being the key character in the global hit Netflix series "Squid Game." Because of this K-drama, he also became the first-ever Korean actor to win the Best Supporting Actor award at the Golden Globe Awards in January 2022. He also made news last year of having a photo shoot for the "Balenciaga x Adidas" campaign. 

Aside from "Squid Game," Oh Young Soo has starred in several K-dramas such as "God of War," "Queen Seon Duk," "The Return of Iljimae," "The Hoechun Gate," "Country Diaries," and more.
