New Crime Thriller K-Movie "Dirty Money" Confirms Release Date

The upcoming crime movie Dirty Money has been confirmed to premiere on October 17. 

Dirty Money tells the story of two desperate detectives who find themselves entangled in a web of corruption and crime. Myung Deuk (Jung Woo), who takes bribes and covers for gangs to pay for his sick daughter's medical expenses, partners with Dong Hyuk (played by Hospital Playlist actor Kim Dae Myung), who is drowning in gambling debts. When they receive a tip about a Chinese gang transporting a large sum of money, they see an opportunity and decide to steal it for themselves. However, their plan backfires, and they quickly become targets of both the police and the Chinese gang. 

The teaser poster portrays detectives Myung Deuk and Dong Hyuk cautiously inspecting their surroundings with tense expressions before getting into a parked police car.

Myung Deuk who earns under-the-table money as a side gig, and Dong Hyuk, who looks up to Myung Deuk like he's his older brother, are partners in both investigations and their shady side business. The bright orange jumpsuits that make them seem like criminals, and the guns in their hands, stand in sharp contrast to the police car they use for investigations. The poster leaves viewers guessing whether they are heading for a crime or an investigation.

The trailer begins with detectives Myung Deuk and Dong Hyuk heading to investigate a murder case. The subsequent investigation into a money laundering case is led by Myung Deuk and Dong Hyuk. Eventually, it is revealed that the trio involved are none other than the duo and fellow police officer Jeong Hoon (Jo Hyun Chul).

Just like the screen card reads, "When the sirens turn off, the side job begins," they lead a double life: investigating by day and collecting bribes by night.

Myung Deuk, who dreams of turning his life around through full-scale crime, nervously says, "We did it anyway, and we're the ones investigating it," growing anxious as the investigation closes in. The teaser piques curiosity about whether their plan will proceed as intended.
