New Comedy K-Movie "Pilot" Surpasses 1 Million Moviegoers

The K-movie Pilot surpassed 1 million viewers on August 3, just three days since its release.

According to the integrated ticketing network, the comedy K-movie Pilot surpassed 1 million moviegoers on August 3 (Saturday). It broke the opening box office record of the highest-grossing film of 2024 (so far), Exhuma (2024), and the highest-grossing film of the summer of 2023, Smugglers. 

The film has received positive reviews, with comments saying, "This is the funniest and most delightful movie I've ever seen. The ending is touching, and the comedic scenes are solid," "Everyone in the audience laughed out loud," and "It's great for watching with family or with a partner."

In particular, the film's humor and relatable elements, which appeal to children, teenagers, and adults alike, have contributed to its appeal and strong box office performance.

Pilot is a story about star pilot Han Jung Woo (Jo Jung Suk), who becomes unemployed after an incident. He then undergoes a shocking transformation and gets to work as a pilot again. Han Sun Hwa, Shin Seung Ho, Lee Joo Myung, and Seo Jae Hee also star in the comedy film.
