JTBC's upcoming K-drama King the Land ends its nine-month-long filming journey today.
On June 6, media outlet OSEN shared that King the Land will end all filming with main leads 2 PM's Lee Jun Ho and Girls Generation's Im Yoon Ah today. The upcoming K-drama began its filming journey back in the late summer of September last year and it will be concluded in the early summer of June. The filming will officially end on Memorial Day (June 6) and the production team will focus on other details to improve the completeness of the K-drama.
King The Land will tell the story of a hotelier who despises fake smiles and a woman who landed a job at his hotel and who's always ready to give a smile to everyone.
The upcoming K-drama is the latest work of director Im Hyun Wook (Reflection of You and People You May Know) and writer Choi Rom. It will be produced by ANPO Entertainment, BY4M Studio, and SLL.
King The Land will be led by Lee Jun Ho, Im Yoon Ah, Go Won Hee, Kim Ga Eun, Ahn Se Ha, and Kim Jae Won.
The upcoming K-drama will premiere on June 17 at 10:30 PM. It will air on JTBC, TVING, and it will also be available on the global OTT platform, Netflix.
Many are already anticipating the upcoming K-drama because this will be the comeback of Lee Jun Ho to the small screen after two years. This will also be the first time that Lee Jun Ho and Im Yoon Ah will be working together as actors instead of idols.
King The Land will replace the hit K-drama Doctor Cha. Anticipation arises if King The Land will be able to keep the ratings high just like how Doctor Cha was loved by local and International viewers.
