Kim Nam Gil, Lee Ha Nee, Kim Sung Kyun, and the rest of the The Fiery Priest Season 2 team are coming to deliver high-octane excitement.
The Fiery Priest Season 2 is a comic investigation drama that follows hot-blooded, justice-driven priest Kim Hae Il as he heads to Busan to battle against the nation's biggest drug cartel.
The teaser showcases the Gudam Squad's return, this time on a much larger scale. The teaser heightens curiosity, as The Fiery Priest Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil) is seen walking into a dark church, stating, "The devil isn't as black as he seems in paintings."
Afterward, Kim Hae Il takes down a group of villains with his martial arts skills alongside Koo Dae Yeong (Kim Sung Kyun), raising his voice in frustration, "I want to go back!" Meanwhile, Park Gyeong Sun (Lee Ha Nee), with an extremely angry look on her face, shouts "You're dead!" as she hilariously dispatches a villain using a frying pan.
In one scene, despite being struck on the head with a wooden plank, Koo Dae Yeong rises unscathed, knocks down his enemies, and says, "Knighthead! Knighthead!" boasting his indestructible "steelhead".
Kim Hae Il, when asked by gangsters, "Are you really a priest?" confidently replies, "As you can see, I'm a servant of God!" However, the teaser gets suspenseful, as he faces a gun being shoved into his mouth, and both he and Koo Dae Yeong are shown bound and in danger.
However, as the scene shifts to a wide view of Busan's skyline, the vibe changes.
Accompanied by the voice of someone saying, "You've had a rough time coming down here," Kim Hae Il makes a powerful entrance, wearing sunglasses. At the same time, Park Gyeong Sun arrives at Busan Station, dramatically tossing off her sunglasses and declaring, "Welcome to Busan".
Adding to the curiosity, Kim Hae Il displays his quirky side as he addresses a group of seminarians, telling them, "What you need is enthusiasm and stamina." When asked, "You didn't go to Busan because of the seminary, did you?" he flinches slightly.
In another scene, Kim Hae il appears before the seminary head, Lee Woong Seok (Lee Dae Yeon), dressed in a taekwondo uniform, jumping up and down cheerfully, saying, "I totally got fooled!" He then dumps a basket full of ice with a shout of "Yahoo!" This all hints at the fierce but humorous dynamics that await in his "lessons" for the wrongdoers.
Park Gyeong Sun strikes a dramatic pose, pretending to start an engine, and says, "Do you know what that sound is? It's the sound of a soul-crushing machine turning."
Meanwhile, Koo Dae Yeong, hiding behind a tree branch, nervously agrees to Kim Hae Il's bold claim, "This plan is definitely going to work!" and hilariously transforms into a panda, causing chaos at the police station. Park Gyeong Sun asks, "Do we really have to go this far?" to which Kim Hae Il gives a nonchalant response, as he expertly hides within a trick art display, delivering the ultimate comedic disguise performance.
Elsewhere, Kim Hae Il and Koo Dae Yeong bicker endlessly in Go Do Seong's (Kim Won Hae) car, with the two shouting, "We can't go!" and "We're going now!" respectively. Frustrated, Go Do Seong eventually yells, "Enough already!" setting the stage for another round of their chaotic yet entertaining chemistry.
The teaser ends with Kim Hae Il declaring, "We need to let all the demons know — somewhere out there, God exists," followed by his signature spinning kick and a triumphant scream, fueling anticipation for the exhilarating justice The Fiery Priest Season 2 promises to deliver with its refreshing, cathartic moments.
