Go Min Si is confirmed to lead a new Hong Sisters K-drama!
Kang Tae Oh and Kim Se Jeong are confirmed to join the new MBC historical K-drama.
On January 8, MBC officially unveiled their upcoming K-dramas for 2025. With this, it was also confirmed that Kang Tae Oh and Kim Se Jeong will be the main leads of the upcoming K-drama The Moon Flows over the River.
The Moon Flows over the River will reveal the romance between a crown prince who lost his will to be happy and an ordinary woman who lost her memory.
The upcoming K-drama will be helmed by director Lee Dong Hyeon who also created the works Bitter Sweet Hell, Doctor Lawyer, She Knows Everything, Less Than Evil, and more.
Kang Tae Oh will portray the role of Crown Prince Lee Kang. He lost the will to be happy, consumed by his desire for revenge for the loss of his queen. While preparing for his revenge, he encounters Park Dal Yi, a woman who strikingly resembles his late queen.
Kim Se Jeong, on the other hand, will portray Park Dal Yi, the woman who resembles the dead queen. For some reason, her body will become switched with that of the crown prince, leading to a series of unexpected circumstances.
The Moon Flows over the River will premiere in the second half of 2025. It will exclusively air on MBC and will have a total of 12 episodes.
This will be the third upcoming K-drama of Kang Tae Oh after he got discharged from the military. He will also lead the upcoming K-dramas Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2 and The Potato Lab.
Meanwhile, this will be Kim Se Jeong's first time to star in a historical K-drama. She is known for being part of the popular K-dramas Brewing Love, Business Proposal, The Uncanny Counter, School 2017, and more.
