The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call follows Baek Kang Hyuk (Ju Ji Hoon), a genius surgeon who has performed surgeries even in the most chaotic conflict zones. He takes on the mission of leading an underfunded and sidelined trauma team at a university hospital.
Baek Kang Hyuk (Ju Ji Hoon) is a genius surgeon who refuses to yield to injustice. The stills portraying him riding a motorcycle in a barren land and standing amidst a fire break out, show his unwavering resolve to save lives.
In particular, his unshakable composure and confidence even in dire emergencies heighten anticipation for the genius surgeon's remarkable feats.

Choo Young Woo portrays Yang Jae Won. Chosen by Baek Kang Hyuk to join the Trauma Team, Yang Jae Won is Baek's first disciple and his "Slave No. 1." A promising colorectal surgery fellow who has only walked a smooth road in his career, Jae Won follows Kang Hyuk to save critical trauma patients who are on the brink of death, thereby, growing as a person and doctor in the process.
Choo Young Woo said, "Yang Jae Won is a character who grew with me during the filming period. I believe the aspects of my growth naturally blended into and were reflected in Jae Won's journey of change and growth."
Ha Young takes on the role of Cheon Jang Mi, the strong-willed senior nurse of the Trauma Team. Cheon Jang Mi is a responsible and skilled veteran nurse who has been guarding the Trauma Team, which everyone avoids, for five years. She provides unwavering support to Baek Kang Hyuk and works hard alongside Yang Jae Won.
Ha Young shared, "Cheon Jang Mi is a passionate nurse who will stop at nothing to save a patient's life. I discussed extensively with the director how to, at times, seamlessly incorporate Jang Mi's comedic aspects into the medical setting in an engaging way."
Yoon Gyung Ho plays Han Yoo Rim, the head of the proctology surgery department. Armed with impressive qualifications and a knack for flattery, Han Yoo Rim has solidified his position in the hospital. However, the arrival of the Baek Kang Hyuk disrupts his peace. Displeased by Baek's extraordinary skills and unconventional behavior — and further annoyed when he takes his beloved disciple Yang Jae Won — Han Yoo Rim takes it as his mission to "bring down Baek Kang Hyuk," clashing with him at every turn.
Yoon Gyung Ho said, "Han Yoo Rim is a character with big ambitions for promotion and success, constantly butting heads with Baek Kang Hyuk."
He added, "As he's a character who undergoes transformation due to a certain incident, I concentrated on portraying the gradual changes between his early and later self."
Jeong Jae Kwang plays the anesthesiology resident Park Kyung Won. A hidden talent acknowledged by Baek Kang Hyuk, Park Kyung Won quietly supports the Trauma Team.
Jeong Jae Kwang described his character, saying, "Park Kyung Won is a character who carries out his duties by adhering to the principles. I focused on conveying his emotions and circumstances mainly through his gaze and actions. To portray Kyung Won's personality externally, I chose to grow my hair on the advice of Joo Ji Hoon."
The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call will premiere on January 24, only on Netflix.
