"Penthouse" actor Kim Young Dae to appear in "True Beauty"

"The Penthouse: War in Life" actor Kim Young Dae will be making his special appearance in the tvN drama "True Beauty" starring Astro's Cha Eun Woo, Moon Ga Young and Hwang In Yeop.

On January 22, a representative from the popular drama announced that the actor will be making his cameo that will air early in February. 

In 2019, Kim Young Dae starred in the drama "Extraordinary You" which was also helmed by "True Beauty" director Kim Sang Hyub. Just like his fellow co-stars  Lee Jae Wook and Kim Hye Yoon from "Extraordinary You", the actor accepted the role to show his support. What his role would be on the currently airing series is yet to be confirmed.

Currently, Kim Young Dae plays the role of Cha Soo Hoo, Kang Yeo Joo’s(Cha Yeo Jung) assistant on "Cheat On Me, If You Can". He also took part in the drama "The Penthouse: War in Life" as Joo Seok Hoon, Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon) and Soo Ryun's (Lee Ji Ah) son. In 2019, he was part of the drama "Extraordinary You" as Yeo Joo Da's (Lee Na Eun) partner Oh Nam Joo.

Due to continuous recognition from his previous dramas, many viewers are anticipating on his future as an actor. He's also being compared to famous actor Kang Dong Won in terms of visuals. The rising actor hasn't landed a top billing role yet, but with how his career is flourishing, we hope to hear news of him starring in a drama soon.

"True Beauty" airs every Wednesdays and Thursdays on tvN at 10:30 PM KST.
