This article contain some spoilers from the first few episodes, so if you have not seen it yet, be warned.

A beautiful vintage drama: Save The Last Dance For Me is sure to move your heart.

The handsome Hyun Woo (played by Ji Sung), is the heir of a chemical company run by his father. He is not entirely set on the prospect of this and instead loves photography. He is currently engaged to Soo Jin (played by Lee Bo Young.)

Hyun Woo is suddenly involved in a car accident resulting in some classic Drama Amnesia. He is found by our leading lady the pretty and sassy Eun Soo (played by Eugene). She's a sweet country girl of sorts and lives modestly with her father running a lovely countryside inn.

Eun Soo and her father welcome Hyun Woo into their lives and home, caring for him while he regains his health but alas not his memory. These two are in a constant state of playful and sassy bickering.
As the viewer you know that there is definitely something going on between them. They have just not admit to it yet!

Eun Soo dubs Hyun Woo with a new name since his memory has not returned. Moving forward he is now known as Baek Chang Ho. As he seeks out a new life for himself, he finds himself growing attracted to Eun Soo. At first he doesn't know how to express himself but a little jealousy festers after a local doctor asks her out. This tips the scale and he can no longer conceal his feelings.

The two fall in love but as Hyun Woo does not know his real identity, he does not want to burden Eun Soo until he learns who he really is. The two decide to host a promise ceremony of sorts, but for Eun Soo's father this is a wedding he very much wanted for his daughter.

The pacing of the story events happens very quickly early on to set the stage for real drama to come.
The day of their ceremony, Eun Soo’s father passes away leaving her devastated. This is a tragic but new beginning for Eun Soo. Hyun Woo is tricked and lead away by thugs he escapes from them only to be struck in yet another car accident. This poor Oppa is not getting any breaks! Whew!

Time to stir the drama pot!! This accident results in him regaining his previous life's memories of who he was. The new sad fact is that he has now forgotten his year with Eun Soo and their promise to each other. Hyun Woo is also unaware that a bitter rival has been actively seeking his demise.

With her father passed on and Hyun Woo (Chang Ho’s) disappearance, Eun Soo faces these heart breaking challenges with much passion and determination to find her love. She eventually makes her way to the city and begins to look for work. A chance occurrence has her crossing paths with the handsome heir and he defiantly dismisses her claims about who she knows him to be. A broken Eun Soo overcomes this with fate slowly bringing her ever closer to his circle through a job opportunity at his company.

The two eventually start working together and Hyun Woo whose previous affection and relationship to Soo Jin was reinstated, begins to be shaken by the kindness and sincerity of his new employee Eun Soo.

Ahh sweet drama bliss! He begins to falls in love with her all over again and their second chance at love blossoms.

Sets and styling definitely have that late 1990s early 2000s arrangements: a throwback to the vintage fashion, hair and makeup. The writing in this older drama is admirably done, making each moment not to be missed.

Save The Last Dance For Me definitely has some melodrama vibes throughout with tragedy, repeated heartbreak, new beginnings and a second chance at love. Yet there is something so endearing about this well matched pairing, that as a viewer you don’t want to see them give up or lose their way back to each other. It is a memorable romance that could easily become one of your favourites.
