Tokyo Ghoul to Get a Live Action Film Adaptation
Just when you thought things could not get more exciting for the upcoming TBS crime drama “Ouroboros", J-Dramaland turns the tables once again. With the casting finally completed, Ueno Juri has been announced as a third lead alongside Oguri Shun and Ikuta Toma.
The drama is about childhood friends Danno Tatsuya and Ryuzaki Ikuo, whose mentor was assassinated. They vow to take revenge on the corrupt police organization behind the killing. In order to achieve that goal, Ryuzaki joins the police force while Danno fights from the outside as part of the Yakuza (as a gangster). Ueno Juri will play Ryuzaki’s partner, an intelligent detective who starts to suspect her partner’s motives and relationship with his childhood friend. But as she tries to unravel the truth behind his mysterious character, she finds herself attracted to him.
This will be Ueno’s first detective role and she’s looking forward to play her interesting character. Other cast members include Takito Kenichi and Yoshida Kotaro.
Filming will start this December while the drama is scheduled to air January 2015. Is Ouroboros on your dramalist?
