Hot Road (2014)

Juliet (Rainie Yang) and Watanabe Tsukasa (Duncan) are lovers whose wedding was shattered by the arrival of Xiao Feng (Lee Wei). Feng's only option is to win the racing competition to win the heart of Juliet. Watanabe continuously sabotages Feng and Juliet's relationship, and Feng's relationship with his childhood sweetheart is also strained. The feud between the two families made Juliet and Feng into a modern day Juliet and Romeo, and they are forced to make a decision whether to give up their dreams...

About a young FL & ML student they are a couple but too many obstacles for them to be together. A sad yet touching love story. Toosaka Hiromi is adorable here. I like his other movie Snow Flower too.

Well-meaning but socially awkward, Kuronuma Sawako is nicknamed "Sadako" by her high school classmates because of her similar hair style with the main character from the horror movie "Ring." She doesn't have friends and goes about her day in quiet. She admires a fellow classmate, Kazehaya Shota, because of his easy-going and friendly nature, but unknown to her, Kazehaya has also been paying attention to her.

Akahoshi is a drifter with great car knowledge who travels from town to town aimlessly until he starts working at Sakurai Motors. The motor competition in town is tough though, and a battle between the top motor shop in town and Sakurai Motors soon ensues...

Both dramas deal with characters with terminal illness and tragic love. Both of the characters lied to their lovers to hide their illness.
