Tom est un homosexuel enfermé qui vit seul dans son appartement de Manille pendant la quarantaine communautaire renforcée. Tom vit dans la peur et l'insécurité, choisissant de se protéger du monde. Pour l'aider à faire face, il s'occupe de son travail de comptable indépendant et discute avec son meilleur ami, Gad, via des appels vidéo. De manière inattendue, Kendrick, le copain d'université perdu depuis longtemps de Tom, renoue avec lui. Kendrick est l'exact opposé de Tom, vivant librement et pleinement. À l'insu de Kendrick, Tom est toujours secrètement amoureux de lui et espère que leur reconnexion pourra s'épanouir en quelque chose de merveilleux, bien qu'il ne puisse pas avouer ses vrais sentiments. C'est-à-dire jusqu'à ce que Kendrick admette la raison de son retour à la maison – une fille lui a brisé le cœur. Après avoir décidé de rester loin de son ami, Tom apprend que Kendrick est tombé malade du coronavirus, sans personne pour s'occuper de lui. Maintenant, le lâche Tom risque sa vie pour rendre visite à Kendrick et aider à guérir. A character study. I wouldn't call it a rom-com or BL.
Really good casting. The acting was strong too, especially Jameson Blake. Natural and realistic dialogue. This movie is not giving fan service, romance, or comedy, so you'll be disappointed if that's your main interest. It's a super-angsty character study throughout, making it often hard to watch and frustrating. That's just the nature of a story about a risk-averse and repressed main character. I could relate. Actually hit very close to home for me. Anyone in an asynchronous relationship feels foolish and wonders at some point whether they are being used. And who hasn't been ghosted? Many are saying now that they are tired of lockdown stories and characters communicating exclusively through video and texts, and I get that. This is not groundbreaking work, but it is effective, touching, and believable. This was my first time seeing a fairly bad COVID case portrayed to any real extent. This seemed to get it right, except in real life the recovery wouldn't be quick or as complete, I think. This movie was definitely worth watching and maybe a rewatch as well. The song at the end ("Still") wasn't written for the movie but it fits perfectly and it's just a really good song and performance.A Refreshing Take on BL story
Of all the BL stories that pinoy started offering, this one will give you "kilig" with less heavy drama scenes. they acted so normal irregardless how far they are, they are so connected.the series talks about confronting your inner most fears when you start falling, especially on the LGBT spectrum, and it did that so timely with finesse. the kind of film na chill lang and you dont need kissing scenes just to show how sincere these actors are to portray love on this movie.
kudos to the lead actors, you did so well on the scenes that you shine brightly. and to the bez who was there all throughout the movie who shined perfectly on the role.
