Yutaro volunteers to repair the stairs at Kaimeiken. Yutaro continues to work even at night, using handrails and other ideas, and tells Meiko of his dream of creating a safe city. Yutaro's mother died in a fire in a dense wooden house, which she couldn't escape from. The cooking teacher reminds Meiko of thinking about her dream, "I want Yutaro to eat natto." On the other hand, Yutaro knows the man who was injured on the stairs because he was a professor at Imperial University and an engineering expert.
