Author transmigrates into a hot mess

No one seems interested in writing a review, so I'll step up and give a little one. I think this drama is worth watching, so I hope people give it a second look.

This is the classic girl falls into a novel and falls in love type drama with a few proper differences. She is the author and someone else has messed with her novel on the very day it was uploaded. (that part is never elaborated on again) The author then falls into the story and attempts to bring it back to the way she wrote it.

It often feels as if the novel is fighting against being changed because towards the end she has suffered a lot, changed something major, only for it all to change in a new and different way.

I felt the acting was pretty decent for a short drama and the story was not too shabby. I cried at the death of one character and I wasn't expecting to, they just did a good job with the characters and the setting...perfect to make a few tears drop down.

I do not like the ending, but to be honest it was pretty realistic.

There's some pretty funny bits and a few sad ones too. Overall, I'd recommend giving this a watch.

It seems like a lot of people are struggling to find this drama with proper english subtitles, I've put a link in the comment section that will help hopefully.

Not a time travel drama or entering into the novel drama but a really good one

I wrote this review on YT as well but here I am gonna add a bit more about acting, story etc.

Initially, I was a little confused about why and how she goes into and out of the novel world so easily, also every time she wakes up and goes back into the novel again the characters that are dead are back and alive and the story has changed a bit. only towards the end, I understood that they tried to portray the POV of a writer, there is no time travel here. the author doesn't want a sad ending in her novel so she is desperately trying to give a happy ending to both couples so all those twists and turns are just in her mind, she thinks about all possible ways like 'if I do this then how will it impact the ending' but unfortunately, the emperor's mother won't stop until the ML is dead as she thinks that her son will not be safe until the king is dead. Even if ML doesn't want the throne now, in the future if he ever changes his mind then her son's life will be in danger so she wants to eliminate all kinds of danger around her son so she keeps stirring trouble around him putting many lives in danger so ML has to die in the end for it all to stop. that's why he keeps dying no matter how she changes the story so gives up at the end and lets the story be. They want to show that sometimes in dramas or novels, authors don't have a choice but to give a sad ending for the story to make sense. It's not like they want the characters they created to suffer like that but they can't help it.

Throughout the drama, it felt depressing while watching it cuz the music, cinematography and actors acting will make it seem like its really happening in front of you. like its a true story. for example when SML was captured and tied you can see a gloomy sky, wind, cold breeze, wet floor and sad music in the background and all character's acting was realistic..woo..that was awesome. I cried almost every time that ML died.

well, this is not a happy drama that would cheer your mood so its not for those who wants to watch something for fun. It will make you cry.
