Incrível!

Esse drama conquistou meu coração da premissa a Ost. Estava recomendando ele ontem e dizendo como eu ter vindo assistir foi super por acaso, porque eu sigo a minha lista. Mas, um dia olhando os lançamentos no MDL pra colocar na lista, eu gostei tanto da sinopse e corri pra assistir.

Ultimamente tenho achado 16 episódios muita coisa para certos dramas, mas esse poderia ter 16 tranquilamente pra explorar os assuntos abordados.

Se houver um drama com os atores que fizeram os protas na juventude me falem pq eu super assistiria, e também assistiria um drama escolar com os 4 alunos, toda vez que havia cena deles eu ficava querendo mais.

Eu simplesmente AMEI a cena final. Achei muito simbólico pra história dos personagens principais.


Também AMEI os trajes dos personagens, principalmente femininos. A estética de escritório já está super saturada e ver uma protagonista e suas amigas de 36 anos se vestindo como uma jovem foi incrível. Como DM eu quero ver mais personagens femininos se vestindo confortavelmente e sendo empoderadas sem parecer dona de negócios ou CEO.

Preferisco la versione giovane

Ne ho iniziato la visione con un po' di speranze siccome solitamente la minestra riscaldata non fa parte della mia comfort zone ma ultimamente qualche opera di mio gusto la trovo. Questo dava ottime promesse ma purtroppo l'esecuzione mi è risultata meh. L'unica cosa che salvo è la parte vecchia, ovvero tutte quelle scene in cui la coppia è giovane, ai tempi della scuola. Il resto è insulso. Guardandoli come erano un tempo ho provato sentimenti, emozioni, ho provato empatia per loro ma la coppia nel presente non mi ha trasmesso nulla, quasi come se non fossero gli stessi protagonisti ma venissero raccontate due storie diverse. La chimica tra i due attori non si avverte, le espressioni facciali non aiutano, e via dicendo. La questione della rivalità tra le famiglie l'ho trovata veramente mal gestita, strutturata coi piedi.. Del resto non me ne fregava nulla, ergo ho scelto di piantarlo.

Niente di nuovo e il già visto lascia pure a desiderare...

Mi sono sforzata di arrivare in fondo alla serie solo per coerenza, e questo la dice lunga. Romance banale, dove gli ostacoli dovrebbero essere questioni insormontabili ma che poi tali non sono. Niente di nuovo e il già visto non è un bel rivedere, insomma. Anche nell'ottica di un drama che punta al mero intrattenimento, non funziona. La storia è troppo insipida, gli attori lo sono anche di più, sia a livello di recitazione, espressività ed estetica. Spiace dirlo ma non sanno davvero di niente. Chimica ed empatia scarseggiano ovunque. Se penso al tema della rivalità tra famiglie, ne viene fuori meglio la tailandese "Bad Buddy". E il meccanismo della rottura da adolescenti e del ricongiungimento in età - molto - adulta è un altro esempio che non regge: fratture dettate da fraintendimenti e tempistiche sbagliate che però sembrano poi segnare a vita i protagonisti, i quali tuttavia passano le successive due decadi ciascuno sul proprio binario, mai alla ricerca dell'altro, salvo poi ritrovarsi più o meno costretti a un nuovo incontro e da lì rispolverare il sentimento adolescenziale quasi non se ne fosse mai andato. Finale inconsistente e piatto, un po' come tutto il resto.

Cute, heart-warming RomCom

I love the slapstick nature of the Comedy here. Ju Ji-hoon is best with his exaggerated facial expressions. He made me laugh so hard that my stomach ached. I didn’t like Jung Yumi in the first two episodes but she got better from episode 3, or should I say I understood her portrayal after more background history was given. I absolutely adore Oh Yeju and Hong Minki. I appreciate that they were shown from time to time in almost every episode. Based on the story, the young actors had a huge responsibility to make the story believable that even after 18 years of separation, the leads still had feelings for each other and the young actors nailed their parts. They have great chemistry as enemies to high school sweethearts. I also like how the actors were chosen to play young and older counterparts. They kind of look similar. In some other dramas, the actors look so different that I can't connect the two actors playing the same person.

Meus pais !

Esse é um dorama de conforto mesmo, para quando não há muitas opções na sua lista ou quando você procura um romance leve com uma boa história. Com pouquíssimos pontos ruins a história é simples, não exige muito esforço do elenco e os personagens são cativantes. Os únicos detalhes que me incomodaram foram o casal secundário sem química nenhuma - funcionam bem para construir a trama dos principais mas juntos não formam uma boa dupla - e o triângulo amoroso meio desnecessário visto que os principais são feitos um para o outro. Assim, Love Your Enemy tem um roteiro de enemies to lovers bem simples mas que não erra na execução, misturando presente e passado para construir seu enredo, além de um plano de fundo marcado por disputas familiares e plot twists. Uma boa escolha e com poucas observações a serem feitas está entre os melhores dramas de conforto e romance da indústria atual.

There’s still no hope to raise expectations

I really enjoy the tension and bickering in relationships driven by love and hate. It usually adds a fun dynamic, and you find yourself eagerly waiting for that spark to ignite. However, I found the behavior of the two adult characters in this show quite childish. It seems like they haven't moved on from high school. After 18 years, shouldn't they have gained a bit of maturity? I thought that was kind of ridiculous.

I haven't seen enough chemistry between the couple yet; their younger selves were way more exciting to me. It feels a bit early to do a deep dive into the story, but I definitely need more details about their past. Otherwise, it’ll just feel like a high school romance that was never resolved. They may have loved each other a lot, but with all those years gone by, life should have brought them some adulthood. It’s like there was a time skip, and they’re still stuck in the same year. But hey, they're 18 years older now, lol. Like, after they graduated high school, time just stopped, and then 18 years later, they picked up right where they left off. No matter what happens in their relationship, they should be able to handle it more maturely now. One's a teacher and the other's an architect, so it's really not that hard, right? :)))


I found the performances of the male and female leads a bit over-the-top. I hope we get to see more of how their lives went on while they were apart.


I’ll keep watching, but I just hope the story becomes a bit more grounded.
