Mindless Timeloop Fluff With Some Angst

At just under 20 minutes an episode, this short drama packs a lot into each of into its plot. Running at a break-neck speed, especially at the beginning, 5 or 6 episodes go by and suddenly you're wondering what's going to happen next as the tale twists and turns. Most of the story is told through the eyes of the FL so seeing her emotional journey of ups and downs is quite nerve-racking, making you want to hit the NEXT button immediately to see what happens next.

While the show itself isn't "spicy" there are a surprising amount of kisses and general romantic scenes. This makes the required "angst" section of the show even more nail biting as you want to have everything "normal" and sweet again.

The biggest weakness of the show is probably the main villian. This person was telegraphed with bright lights VERY early and yet despite clues mounting up around them the characters appeared to be oblivious to their meaning. Then the final showdown leaves a bit of a "really, that's it" feeling despite not being able to put into words HOW it might have been able to be different or better.

On the large though, this was a VERY satisfying show to watch and should absolutely be seen by more people looking for something "shorter" but long enough to be fully fleshed out with all characters motivations.

BEST MINI DRAMA OF 2024

Are you bored? Are you tired of the lengthy boring dramas with no chemistry and bad kisses? Do you want a drama with smart leads who have common sense, smart story, great kisses and lots of chemistry? Then this is the pick for you! Only 1 Misunderstandings resolved in 3 episodes it is a breath of fresh air. With beautiful leads, electrifying chemistry and spicy kisses I promise you, you will love this! I mean how many dramas have you seen with such smart leads? This drama is amazing with one of the best non rushed, amazing ending in a mini. Best mini of 2024? Nope it is the best mini of the 2020 decade! Do watch this and I promise you won’t be disappointed! (The second couple is also good). So come on with me and let’s enjoy this ride and drool over Eddy and YXC! (Yes, I have no shame haha)

Just so we are clear I judged this from standard mini drama standards. I am not comparing it with big dramas like Love Between Fairy and devil (masterpiece in my heart lol). But truth be told I think it is better than same normal dramas I have watched,

Exciting start but I lost interest due to FL's action

Started this show roughly on 22 November when the series had roughly 12 episodes. It's quite rare for me to watch a mini drama that is still airing (Fatal Allure was another exception). I only completed the series today 6 December because damn I struggled with this series. Here are my thoughts:

What I liked:
1) Time reset - It was interesting until halfway through the series. The scenarios were enjoyable and unpredicable.
2) Romance - There was one predictable scene that led to Zhi Li and Chen Che kissing and I liked that. Most of the kissing scenes were sweet. I also enjoyed the secondary romance.
3) Eddy Geng - Handsome. He resembles NCT Jaehyun and Taeyong , I find.
4) Suppoting characters - I like FL's senior and her love rival.

What I disliked:
1) Shen Zi Li's characterisation - I like her at the start. Once she became suspicious of Chen Che and started to harm him, I started to lose interest in this drama. Why did she act that way??? You are a bloody healer. I dislike her for being rash.
2) Length - I find 32 episodes format to be draggy especially when each episode is 20 minutes long. After losing interest in the series around episode 16, I pushed myself to finish because this is a mini drama. I didn't pay much attention since they were repeating the same scenarios.
3) Ending - I find it strange that they were energetic after losing blood. Why were they hopping?
4) Acting - I didn't enjoy Sun Xue Ning's acting as much. She could have expressed anguish when the villain was unveiled.
