FL didn't work for me & Yet I can't stop watching for Jang Seung Jo....

Predictable story + failed FL casting but I can't drop the show either...

I've seen enough of Kim Ha Neul's works, she's not terrible but she's never been amazing either. I am definitely not against mature actress/younger actor pairing but they need to have good chemistry. Still the biggest issue is her character portrayal of this smart tough reporter isn't convincing. When scenes of the MLs express their hurt and love for the FL, you can feel their heart aches and then the FL just looks like she's trying to react, but her facial expressions just so lacking.

The MLs carried the series for me. Jang Seung Jo (The husband) especially is amazing. One minute he looks like the loving husband with puppy dog eyes then the next minute he delivers that psycho killer vibe -- Hot & Deadly! He's painful crying scenes make you feel like someone close to you just died. Gut Wrenching so good!!! Why I can't drop the series.
At Last it's over!!

For those who got offended at my bad "FL / MLs pairing":
1. You missed the point, I said proper pairing. There are many older FL/younger ML that WORKED in other dramas.
Lim Soo Jung/Jang Ki Yong in WWW 13 yrs age gap
Lee Da Hee/ Lee Jae Wook in WWW 14 yrs age gap
Gong Hyo Jin / Kang Ha Neul in When the Camellia Blooms 10 yrs age gap
Son Ye Jin/Jung Hae In - Something in the Rain 8 yrs age gap
just to name a few. ALL had chemistry and delivered in their performances.
2. I did state the BIGGEST issue is her acting.
3. This is my PERSONAL opinion. No need to attack me.

Not Enough

Weirdly, the ending was the best part of this drama. I am surprised to say this, especially since I thought and still think this is one of my worst experiences in K-drama. None of the actors, or actresses did justice to their roles except perhaps Han Chae Ah as Yoo Yoon Young. She made me hate her, so kudos to her. The other was Mi So, Seo Jung Won, and Seol Jae Woo's little girl. She was adorable; she stole the show. Everybody else was a mess, even Kim Ha Neul; she was at her worst as Seo Jung Won. It's sad, as she is a gifted actor. I can't put all the blame on the actors. They didn't have much to work with in the story-telling, the directing, or the editing. An actor is only as good as the storyteller and director, and both could have done better. The drama had potential; it might have been a big hit with another writer, director, or even actors.

I was glad to see the end of this drama. As bad as it was, I couldn't bring myself to drop it. I felt committed somehow, and I am not sure why. If there is anything I appreciate, it is the message the drama tries to leave us with—that power lies and corruption leads. As the saying goes, the problem with absolute power is that it corrupts even when exercised by kindly souls. But no matter how far wrong one goes, one can always turn around. I want to think the drama tries to bring awareness to the idea of not normalizing criminal behaviors and accepting twisted ideologies for fear of public criticism. Humans are better than that. At least, this is what I would like to take from this drama.

This is the lowest rating I have ever given a drama and 5 is being generous.

Unfortunately a complete let down

The 1st episode started well but as episodes started to pass the script & the dialogues didn't make sense at all with too much forced coincidences. The FL was introduced as strong & smart but after the first accidents I couldn't believe what dumb choices she made. Her husband talks in his sleep however only with his mistress, and never with the wife, so his secret is out. Not to forget the detective and his way of thinking. A pity as it had potential but the script writing was too messed up......

AMAZING

An amazing thriller-mystery kdrama with a spark of romance. The cast on 🔝. They served their roles perfectly!!!
(Note: some people dont like the age gap between the actors and say the FM doesn't have chemistry with neither of the MLs. But they really DO HAVE CHEMISTRY. Dont forget we are talking about a thriller drama not just a melodrama)

Seung-jo really made me hate his character (husband).
Taehoon and FML deserve a happy ending.

The plot twist in ep 14 😭😭😭. WHAAAAAAT? My poor Taehoon...

(Personally the only thing i dont like is the unexpected pregnancy. I hope it's a lie the Fml made up in order to punish the killer and her husband. It would be such a good twist)

I recommend it even if some people find absurd the Fml (because of the age). Give it a try!!!

His TOTGA?

Its not good and its not that bad, maybe the FL is lacking.. . I love the very investigative thing in thie drama wherein she investigate the real killer of his journalist father. I like the FL job as a journalist she also investigates the crime infact she comes first than the police officers.
What I like in this drama is their romance, they separate ways due to false accusations that no one came to correct them. And years later that they were separated the girl marries she thought her destined man later on she found out that his been cheating on her and found our her dark secrets in his past. The detective come to the rescue and reveal that it was a false belief in the past and they try to fixed that has been damage in their past and realized that they have still feelings for each other. They both help each other to solved the mystery case and they found love in each other in the coming years.
This drama has lot of plot twist but the mystery has been solved

I wasted my time watching 14 eps of this crap.

I really regret not dropping this after the second ep.
This woman and the cop makes me want to smash my tv in!
I thought I would be able to hang in there since I made it this far but
the female lead really UGH I really hate her character. The cop his a straight fool and frankly the two of them deserves each other. The husband I have no words for him.

No Thank You

I only watched it for Yeon Woo Jin. I'm simply glad that this travesty has ended. The female lead is so annoying that she tampers with the crime scene and makes poor decisions. I am not shipping her and the police officer, I am rooting for the husband. Glad this drama is over. The reporter Seo Jung Won was emotionless her husband just wanted someone to love him and she was not that person she loved her career more than her husband, the police officer was stuck in the past, and his love for a married woman was a bit disturbing. The writer and the director tried to force-feed the audience with this nonsense of first love, I usually like that concept, but not in this case where the FL was very selfish and tampered with the crime scene and never showed any emotion.

Just Okay

Now I’m going to start this review by unequivocally stating that the age gap controversy in many other reviews is sheer nonsense. Kim HaNeul looks absolutely stunning at 46, and she is only a few years older than the male leads, (Jang SeungJo - 42, and Yeon WooJin -39), who in my opinion aren’t exactly the most handsome men in Kdrama land, though I do think they are attractive. These reviews out here acting like she’s wearing dentures and diapers, when the woman has literally no wrinkles and a figure to die for. What a disingenuous and garbage thing to bring up in a review. If there was any lack of chemistry perceived, it is probably because 2 of the 3 leads are married (to other people) and don’t let themselves go all in on passionate scenes. I can live with that. I came to this drama for the plot, not expecting a young adult romcom.

That said, the other points validly open for criticism, do carry some weight. This drama had plenty of potential, but it somehow kept slipping through the cracks. The story on its own is interesting, but the execution felt kind of low-budget and poorly directed. I’ve seen all 3 leads do better than this, and many of the supporting cast were not utilized as well as their talent is worth. Han ChaeAh being the exception - she was extremely convincing and I’m now a fan.

I felt KHN didn’t emote well in many scenes where some more depth was certainly called for. In contrast, YWJ and JSJ were quite good, if a bit limited in what they could do given the dialogue and directional style.

The two things I was impressed by was the disturbing dynamics when a power imbalance exists in friendship. And the unintended/ worst time possible event angle was tough, especially in their culture. I actually appreciated that the drama didn’t shy away from the discomfort those topics bring, and their wistful and incomplete resolutions, in the long or short run.

Anyway, I’m glad I watched it. It was a good vehicle for many things and showcased several memorable scenes. The ultimate product was lacking overall and I don’t see myself watching again, but it’s not a waste of your time, so I do recommend at least giving it a chance. Maybe not as a binge, but it’s a nice filler drama, especially if you like the mystery/crime genre.

FL was the weakest link in the triumverate

Kim Ha Neul was the weakest link in the triumvirate. If her acting style is to express emotions only through her eyes, she failed! She couldn't even bring on the tears, or at least one, in sharp contrast to the MLs. Its sad coz the series itself was good: the unusual plot, the storytelling, the non-mushy romance, the action. The series kept me riveted and I would recommend a watch. The two MLs were superb. My Oscar goes to Jang Seung-Jo, though (clap! clap! clap!), though Yeon Woo-Jin was good, too, and my new eye candy!

"Predictable and most of the time boring."

The K-drama is okay, but my problem is with the main actors, who I honestly think are pretty mediocre in terms of acting. On the other hand, the supporting actors are 10 times better than the leads. The actress has this terrible acting trick where she almost blinks, and she does it in every single scene. The main actor has just one expression for everything, and the only way to tell if he’s happy, angry, surprised, or confused is by how wide his eyes are.

The romance in this K-drama feels like something out of Wattpad; they’re adults in their 30s acting like teenagers. Honestly, the romance is useless and ruins quite a few episodes, so for me, it’s -1 point.

Aside from all that, the story is simple and even predictable. There’s no memorable OST, mediocre acting, pointless romance, and it’s only good as background noise. By episode 8 or 9, you can figure out the whole plot.

Not Good Enough

Korean Drama '' Let's Get Grabbed By The Collar '' is a mystery melodrama.

The series tries to blend a serial killer case, with the family drama, the romance, and the old mystery cases.

However, the story somehow ends up being boring, despite the plethora of plotlines and themes that it deals with. Probably due to the predictability of the plot and the overused twists that ended up being cheesy and eye rolling, the drama didn't offer any surprise.

Also, the romance was neither unnecessary and should have been omitted, or should have more time to develop and not leave it to some flashbacks to do the job of bonding and developing the chemistry between the leads.

Finally, the performances were enjoyable.

So, overall, three out of ten.

An incredible thriller that keeps you hooked from the first to the last episode

"Nothing Uncovered" has a premise like many other kdramas. A competent woman finds out her husband is cheating on her, but the problem is the girl he's cheating with is found dead.
Jung Won is a journalist, so she tries to uncover the truth and there's also Tae Heon, her ex-boyfriend who's a police officer. Along with her husband, that's the drama's main characters and the love triangle.

The story development is great and it happens the most funny thing, I end up rooting for Woo Jae to end up with any of them, it could be Woo Jae or Tae Heon.
Yes, Woo Jae cheated on her, but his life was really tragic and problematic. He accidentally killed his first love and the blame of that made him turn to drugs, which made him depressive, that's when he found Jung Won, who saved his life, but he thought it was too good to be truth, so he did the only thing that she couldn't forgive, almost like he was sabotaging himself.
On the other hand, we have Tae Heon, who's an amazing guy, he's someone who wanted to be with her even when he thought she was pregnant with Woo Jae's child. It's a freaking dilemma.

There's also a crazy bitch, one of the best that I have seen in a long time, that woman's obsession is really something else. HAHAHA'

The drama is a great thriller, it couldn't be any different with this spectacular cast: Kim Ha Neul, Yeon Woo Jin, Jang Seung Jo e Han Chae Ah <3
