it was such a disappointment
they just spoiled my comfort drama with this remake which was not needed. The female actress doesn't have the same energy like seven tan they completely changed her character & they rushed the family thing ik it's only 16 episodes but they missed out many family moment that were needed for their bond. I just watched this only bcoz of hwang in youp but ended liking second brother but they spoiled it with the story writing & fl casting even the child actress was better than her so it's better to watch the original drama.Cet avis était-il utile?

Good drama.We are eagerly waiting for Hwang in-Youp ♥️.Finally we are able to see him as a main character. We loved him for many years but he ended up as a second lead . Finally our Oppa is entertaining us.His acting and his innocent face made us cry.But this time our Oppa is going to get the girl whom he loves . I am watching this drama although I knew it is Chinese dubbed drama only for him♥️.Lots of Love from India 🇮🇳.( ˘ ³˘)♥

This was a total disappointment. I love Go Ahead. I have watched it so many times. Most Chinese dramas can’t bring out the emotions in you like most Korean dramas do.Episode 1 was going great. I thought this would be a good remake. But after 2nd episode it went downhill. In go ahead we can see how much importance a mother has in everyone’s life. Especially in the female lead’s life.
But this remake has not even a single scene of that.
I couldn’t see their siblings bond. We can see from the start that Juwon is biased towards Sanha. In go ahead both the male leads had each other's back when they were young. There were no unnecessary fights. The pain of being abandoned by their mother was understood by them. But here haejun was always fighting with Sanha.
I don’t like that.
The birthday scene where the aunt spoke nonsense and the father took a stand for the second lead was so perfectly portrayed in Go Ahead. But here it was not good.
I couldn’t understand Sanha’s mother's character as well. And according to me she never felt sorry for what she did. It was in the last episode where she cried when Sanha told her about his wounds. But I was accepting a sincere apology.
In 16 episodes they could have covered a lot of details from the original one but they didn’t.
I wanted more of Sanha’s trauma. When the female lead got to know about what he has been through I wanted more of that.
The writing of this drama is sometimes so lacking.
One thing I liked most about this drama is how amazingly the kids did their job in the first episodes, especially Sanha’s and Juwon’s Kid version.

To be honest i stopped watching when brother and sister started becoming couple after living together from the childhood and started kissing . for me i found it unethical but before that the story was 10/10 .However i liked hae joon and dal story , i would have liked to see more of them than the brother and sister couple.such a wasteCet avis était-il utile?
One of the best remakes
Don't listen to any of the negative comments. This series was perfectly thought of and structured. Starting from the cast, the korean essence, the acting, the story the emotions. Everything was just perfect. I hope people don't keep comparing this series to its original and see the series for what it is. I am a huge huge fan of the original series and have watched it numerous times. I can certify that this version is awesome as well.Cet avis était-il utile?
It’s different than the original
I really enjoyed watching GO AHEAD and when the news came out that they will be making a korean remake of the show. I was a bit sceptical. I made a decision early on to only watch it when it has finished airing all its episode. However, it keeps popping up on my FYP and it piqued my interest. The TIKTOK edits shows me some new scenes which i did not see in the original CDRAMA and I decided to watch it while it was still airing.And I did not regret it. While they do have similarities, I can’t ignore the differences they made on making it local and giving a fresh new air towards the show. I enjoyed the show as it has more build up of the characters feelings. It explains the reason their decisions clearly and are not making the viewers misunderstand or think too deeply on the plot.
It really differs from the CDRAMA, GO AHEAD!

worst drama
I didn't like this drama at all so boring weird and no way near reality here is so pure that even if someone is trying to kill him he won't care about himself but the killer like that woman stopped being his mom the day she blamed him but he don't get it whatever she is trying to do for him is for her own not to have any regret he is so stupid everyone is so stupid no-one can understand that they don't have parents acting is not great of actors weird obsession with the parents who abonded them bothCet avis était-il utile?
Don't watch it - watch original chinese version. It is better in every aspect
If you didn't watch neither chinese nor korean version - watch chinese.It is better in all ways:
1. Cast in chinese version is much better . FL in chinese version is 10x times better.
2. Plot details in chinese version are better.
3. Plot pace i chinese version is better.
There is simply no reason to watch this worse version.

LOVE IT
I was about to watch Go Ahead earlier this year because of all the great reviews but didn't because of Song Weilong. Personally I just cannot deal with his one wooden expression for everything so I left it and am so glad I did!Because then I can enjoy FbC with AHS who is actually really good and the story (although does feel rushed) is going great for me.
I love the relationship between Haejun and Juwon's father the most. Also enjoying his interactions with Park Dal. I guess I'm a new fan of Bae Hyeon Seong!!
I'm a bit conflicted about Juwon's character. Her younger self was so fiesty, opinionated and just great but they made the older Juwon a bit whiny and princess-y. hmm..
San-Ha's mum: I haven't watched Go Ahead myself and not sure what the ending like is for her. But honestly, I'm praying for all the bad things for her and that San Ha should just abandon her. She's a hateful character who abandoned her children, caused the death of one and blamed the other. Then she abandoned him and came back expecting his apology. Then gets into an accident and expects him to look after her. This is so messed up and out of the world level of narcissism. I would really hate it if they let her "regret things and change her way", a bit too late tbh. She doesn't deserve a redemption arc..

Family by Choice é uma adaptação do drama chinês Go Ahead, um dos meus dramas chineses favoritos. Acho que a versão coreana conseguiu manter a essência a história apesar de condensar o enredo em 16 episódios. Na versão coreana gostei bem mais da relação deles como irmãos do que do romance entre Juwon e Sanha. Com relação a romance, eu estava muito mais investida na história da Dal e Haejun do que no romance entre Juwon e Sanha. Pena que Dal e Haejun tiveram pouco tempo de tela como casal e em geral.
Jeong Jae, não importa em qual versão sempre será o pai do ano! E o ator Choi Won Young também estava maravilhoso nesse papel. No final a gente até lamenta um pouco ele ficar com a mãe do Haejun porque ele é bom demais para ela. Mas ao mesmo tempo fico feliz por ela ter uma segunda chance na vida depois de tanto azar e falta de bom senso na vida.
Resumindo é um ótimo drama familiar que vale a pena assistir.
