Perfect for fans of korean food -bussiness orientated variety show !
I think the current rating did not do this show justice . For me this deserved at least 8.5/10.To me, the show was as entertaining as watching Jinny's Kitchen and The Backpacker Chef . If you enjoyed the other show I mentioned, you probably will enjoy this one too! The level of intensity shown in every episode was insaneee. BJW and his team really worked hard in serving and meeting their costumer's demands and overcome every challenge that comes their way. My favourite workers are John Park ( I love listening him speaking Italian) & Yuri (the mood setter of the show who lighten the mood when things get hectic & tiring). The foods also looked delicious! BEWARE though like when you're watching other food orientated variety show , only watch this during eating / with full stomach .
Just wanna share my thought on the first few episodes in Morocco. Those episodes were hard to watch to me. I feel for the cast and at the same time I understand what local people was worried about. As a muslim myself, I understand why they faced that kinda difficulty. For anyone curious, our religion is quite strict about our food . It's like when a vegetarian have rule on what to eat and what not but I admit we're more strict . I did not blame the cast because of course they did not know this as non muslim not obligated to know this . Just wish the production behind the show make a research firsthand before deciding to sell food in muslim country . You know.. for reasons. Because halal food is not only about no pork , no lard , no alcohol but including the whole process of food making and every ingredient used in the food need to be halal. Like when use any livestock , they must be slaughtered in accordance with the methods prescribed under Islamic law. And like we can eat grapes but when it was fermented to make alcohol for consumption we can't eat it because of the effect of it . And there's many more. These the reason why people had doubts and keep asking about whether the food was halal or not . Anyway , it was a relief things went well for them afterward. This was just my thought on this matter hope it did'nt offend anyone ✌️

Business Challenge Abroad
A genius indeed! We can really see how Paik Jungwon is experienced in food business! I think, no matter which country he goes to, he'll definitely succeed despite the challenges like language barrier & difference in culture. He confidently face anything & he is inspiring!
Just by watching the first episode, I learned a lot of strategies in starting up a business.
Hopefully in the future, he comes to Philippines too and do this business challenge as well!
More power to you Paik Jungwon and to the team of this show! You produced an interesting show!
From your fan in the Philippines,

Baek Jong Won aja nyebut bukan chef tapi pebisnis kuliner. Padahal ini salah satu chef legend di Korea Selatan. Karena emang ilmu bisnisnya manteeeep banget!! Hal-hal kecil yang menurut orang lain biasa aja diperhatiin. Makanya sukses banget jadi pebisnis kuliner.
Variety show ini punya konsep buka resto Korea di luar negeri. Ngenalin makanan korea pakai bahan lokal. Gampang? nggak, susah banget.
Bahkan ngga familiar sama makanan Korea. Varshow kaya gini ngga gimmick. Restonya sempet sepi. Tapi effort Chef Baek emang ngga main-main, jiwa pebisnisnya mantep!
Kaya dikasih kelas bisnis F&B cuma-cuma deh nonton ini!! Belajar time management dapur, strategi promosi resto, sesimple bikin antrean, konsep makanan pakai bahan lokal, ngitung duit.
Memang yang off record ya perijinan buka resto di luar negeri sih. Keliatan kalau Chef Baek ini pantang nyerah, berani ambil resiko, daya juangnya tinggi, kreatif dan cerdas banget otak bisnisnya.

A highly entertaining food reality show
I started watching this show from in its early airing stage, so I developed some attachment towards this show and casts when it ended. Both team's members (Morocco & Naples) worked super hard in the preparation of the different menus each day, in purchasing the various ingredients from local stores, promoting their food products, and in serving each and everyone of their customers. Though the food preparation process by the team took long hours and wasn't showed much throughout the episodes, I loved their humor, teamwork and their zesty and resilient spirits. They were very sincere in their serving and the good chemistry formed between the teams helped to make the workload between them much easier.
Mr Paik was a great businessman, knowledgeable, tough in the face of adversity while also being super adaptable and a quick-thinker. His food ideas were also always very appealing. His strategies employed to increase sales were generally effective as well. I grew to like and admire him as a chef and businessman - his cooking skills are amazing!
I especially love the Naples team. Yuri was the positive energy of the group - full of warmth and enthusiasm, John was the reliable, calm and charming hall manager and Jang woo was a great and attentive student under Mr Paik - very trustworthy in his editing skills and cooking. All of them were very passionate in each of their roles. I also liked Fabio and Simone, their two part-timer servers.
The only slight disappointment in this show would be the failure to reach their sales goals for this programme, that the preparation process was mostly edited out as well as the fact that more research could be done by the production team before the show. Nonetheless, it taught the casts and myself many meaningful lessons.
Overall, this show was every bit exciting with
the next episode leaving you wanting to watch more. The food made there really looked and (probably tasted) delicious and it was interesting learning about the different food cultures and seeing their interactions with the locals. Additonally, the ups and downs experienced by them made the episodes much more fun and memorable.
The entire show was a whole process of growth and I enjoyed watching this show immensely. It's definitely a highly recommendable Korean food reality show! Looking forward to (a possible) season 2 with hopefully the same casts!

Chef Baek Jong Won the best Showman !
I love how Chef Baek is teaching how to run a business bit by bit, I really learned a lot!The celebrity staff are also amazing at their work, John Park especially changed my view of him! He was so charismatic and his demeanour is perfect!
My only issue is that I wished the editing staff showed more of the process, like in morocco they barely showed bambam and jangwoo chopping onions ! I almost thought the staff did it for them! And in Naples that cleaning up and preparation, I hoped they showed more of that.
I’m already waiting for season 2!

Mission Failed Behind Production
This intrigued me after "Backpacker Chef". Conquering two countries where Korean cuisine has yet been fully recognized may be harder than a catering service. But not for Paik Jongwon. (EXCEPT IT'S A LIE but we'll get there right ahead.)I may note down my positives later on...so let us get through the negatives.
Since I have gotten spoiled to the travelling cooking show format in Backpacker Chef, seeing the same restaurant could get old.
My major criticism is the production crew's lack of research and preparation. And it sterns down on these statements I have.
Previously I misjudged Morocco for their sudden rudeness of closing it down with its statement being too r**ist, but now I know why: they're too afraid to try different cuisines without getting their safety halal policy beliefs in Muslim.
It does not stop there...
When they first open Baekbanjip at Italy on Monday, almost no one came by until several minutes later. Though believe me, it gets worse on Sunday....
Production crew behind the show should have done full research of the country before preparing a business or travel. They probably kind of ruined Paik Jongwon's name afterwards...
Do watch this one if you want, but not for long....
