Assisti essa série no lançamento dela, EP a EP. Devo dizer que esperei muito ansiosa o lançamento dela, já que o EP piloto foi um grande sucesso.

Desde o primeiro episódio, a série enfrentou uma série absurda de críticas, pra quem está vendo a série em tempo real, não há como dizer que essa enxurrada de reclamações não interfere na opinião, interfere sim, inclusive, muitos já assistem com um certo preconceito. Enfim, eu gostei da série. Mas sempre antes de fazer uma resenha, eu assisto a série de novo, de preferência numa maratona, pois percebi que a percepção é bem diferente quando vc vê um EP por semana de quando vc vê tudo de uma vez. Muita coisa havia passado batido, tive percepções erradas, perdi detalhes pequenos, porém importantes, num segundo olhar conseguimos ver melhor e por vezes mudar a opinião, pelo menos a minha muda constantemente nos meus reviews. E dessa vez mudou, mas foi para melhor.

Vamos começar falando do roteiro. Não sei se existiu um grande investimento nessa série, visto que são poucos atores e as locações são basicamente as mesmas, além de erros ridículos, como a barriga da grávida no EP final (Senhor, que horror foi aquele) . Foi uma ideia muito boa, porém mal dirigida. Na faculdade Daonuea deveria ter se encontrado com Nine, que por um acaso não pôde comparecer e mandou um presente por Tee. Este por sua vez, se passou pela pessoa que realmente Dao ia encontrar, já que não sabiam dos nomes um do outro, e ainda entregou o presente de Nine como se fosse dele. A partir dessa mentira, entraram em um relacionamento que durou até o dia em que Tee traiu Dao. E como o destino é brincalhão, Dao fugiu para um recanto distante para esquecer a mágoa, e encontrou justamente Nine, que estava lá pelo mesmo motivo, fugir dos problemas causados por sua namorada problemática. Eles acabam transando, perdendo o contato e depois se reencontrando na empresa em que vão trabalhar juntos, o resto dá pra adivinhar.

A série aparenta ter um desenvolvimento lento, creio que isso se dá pq os eps são muito longos, normalmente tem mais de uma hora de duração. A construção dos personagens principais também é estranha. Daonuea é extremamente infantil e birrento. Ele age como uma criança, em alguns momentos isso é meio ridículo, principalmente em contraste com a transformação que ele tem quando está na cama, onde de criança não tem nada.
Nine é aparentemente seguro e decidido, mas não consegue dar um fim em seu relacionamento tóxico. Mesmo gostando de Dao, ele fica mantendo a garota , traindo ela, e por isso é natural que ela se revolte contra ele. Como também é compreensível que Dao não o perdoe pelo abandono, por não responder as mensagens e ligações. A justificativa de Nine é ridícula, ele estava lidando com a namorada, mas poderia responder ao menos pra dizer que não queria, não perderia nem 5 minutos. E essa atitude de não responder se torna ainda mais ridícula quando descobrimos que ele realmente se apaixonou por Dao na primeira noite.

O personagem Tee, ao meu ver deveria ter saído de cena, saído do meio de Dao e Nine quando percebeu que não existia amor para ele. Mas ele preferiu ir atrás da humilhação, enquanto o roteiro poderia desenvolver toda a história dele como um casal secundário, ao invés de fazer isso só no último EP, deixou o personagem completamente idiota, sendo feito de trouxa o tempo todo. Sem falar que romantização de traição foi o que não faltou.

A personagem Candy pra mim era muito duas caras. Ao mesmo tempo que jurava amizade e lealdade a Nine, fazia o mesmo com sua namorada, dava a impressão que jogava nos dois times. Essa mesma impressão me passa Boat, pois hora estava incentivando Dao & Tee, hora Dao & Nine.

Já sabemos que o roteiro tem muitas falhas e que alguns personagens são mal construídos, mas independente disso, a atuação foi boa! Essa série inventou a química, os dois casais exalavam sensualidade em todas as cenas NC, todo o elenco trabalhou bem e convenceram com seus personagens.

A ost dessa série é linda. A fotografia e as locações também. Já revi ela algumas vezes e pretendo rever de novo. Com certeza indico essa série. Não se deixe levar pela opinião de ninguém, veja com seus próprios olhos e tire suas próprias conclusões.

Nothing Redeeming.

Had a soap opera feel. Multiple dishonest characters repeatedly making stupid decisions and a melodramatic plot that is also boring. Nine is a very pushy, lying, toxic ball of red flags. The first episode was actually decent and interesting and then the things characters did after that quickly made me not care about any of them.

I watched some snippets of later episodes on YouTube to determine if I wanted to keep watching after Ep 4 and I saw nothing redeeming. The dialogue is ridiculously contrived. People stay dead silent for long stretches instead of pleading their case or even verbally reacting to what another character says. It's SO unrealistic, awkward, frusterating, and inane.

The intimate scenes are okay but feel rather flat- I've definitely seen better elsewhere. They are certainly not special enough to put up with watching the whole show.

The actors are at a 7-7.5 out of 10. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt because they were given such a crappy screenplay to work with. It'd be hard for anyone to make those characters and that insipid dialogue empathetic or realistic. No one was really charismatic but they weren't bad either.

Though it's a complete waste of time it didn't leave any mental scars, so I gave it a 1.5/10.

Amazing show, definitely watch, small critiques

I personally love this series and am always excited for the next episode. Although i do have some serious criticisms.
1. Id rather they not throw in so much humor in such a way. In some small parts, in certain episodes, it feels like theyre trying to make me laugh with really bad or dry humor instead of focusing on the love and the story, as if its not meant to be a romance.
2. While i do enjoy a good cliffhanger, the major cliffhangers seem to not go into the next episode with such intensity. In two of the episodes endings, daoneua is very sad and feels betrayed, and it shows (fantastic acting!), but in the next episode that continues the scene, its like the intensity went from a 10/10 to like 4/10. While i do want to see the characters resolve their problems and be happy together, i dont think those problems would be solved that easily. As if theyre rushing the problems to get to the romance.

As i mentioned, i LOVE this story/show and i will watch till the end and rewatch many times as well, but but i would kind of like to see them work through problems, not just finish them off.
But then again i think we're close to the end of the series(ive just now finished episode 10, and i think theres like 12 episodes total not sure though), so i can understand why they might be rushing it. But even with these critiques, i still love this show. Its so good and i definitely recommend.

And i dont want to spoil to much but im so angry about the scene where we see him talking to nine about daoneua in they're college days. I use to be somewhat ok with tee before but now i just dont like his character at all. But thats just my perspective, as some people would see him as growing out of that.

I hope this helps whoever is reading this, and i hope you understood everything the way i meant you to lol. Im bad at explaining.

"Better love story than Twilight" doesn't apply here

I hate MDL for not allowing me to write a one word review, because any more words put into it would be a waste of precious space and letters. I'm not even gonna force myself to continue this anymore, I'm just gonna ramble a little to make this review reach the required minimum of characters.
The comments are being too kind with their criticism, and I really mean it when I say Twilight's plot looks award worthy compared to this, heck even 50 shades of gray had more plot than this, it was at least able to elicit something out of the viewers, this however, is a whole different story, or un-story if we're being honest here.
I usually watch at least 5 episodes before coming to a conclusion because surely there are some redeeming qualities tucked away somewhere, this just managed to be the exception people. If other series were able to destroy the very few brain cells that I had, this one completely abolished the original source of their creation. Honestly I don't even know what to say anymore, my disappointment scale is burnt and if I had to pick one word to describe it, which is very generous for this complete and utter BS of a plot, it would be pathetic.

Fucked up

I have never been so disappointed in a Bl series like check out


During the advertisements before it aired I was looking forward to a Bl series that will rival kinnporshe.

Unfortunately check out has failed in that aspect! I have never given a Bl series that I reviewed less than 10/10 rating but check out forced my ✋. I will continue to watch this Bl series no matter how boring and how long it takes me. But I do hope you rally check out many Bl fans are checking out! The actors are acting perfectly but the plot is ruining their efforts! Nine and Daonuea are two characters I don't understand. I don't want to speak about the unstable Praew or Dao's ex boyfriend!

Boring, don’t waste your time

The plot is soooo basic and boring all the characters are unlikeable. There isn’t anything interesting that has happened so far. The episodes are way too long, an hour each when they should be 20 mins max. If next weeks episode is as bad as the previous ones, I will be dropping this show for good. Such a shame since I know that so many people were so excited and hyped for this including me. At this point I think that the company advertised this show as a drama with only spicy scenes, which now looking at how boring the plot is seems like they were queer baiting and taking advantage of bl fans. Very dissappinted

Everyone Else is Wrong

I honestly don’t know why everyone is hating on this series so much. I really liked it!

Don’t get me wrong, COS is far from perfect. The storyline gets sloppy and there are some editing errors ($ to whoever spots the recording equipment in one scene or Daonuea’s rapid underwear change in another).

But all in all I thought it was a sweet and sexy little number. The ?️was ?️?️?️. We were indeed fed. and I loved all the characters.

The acting was great and I loved seeing a Thai/Iranian actor (we stan Chahub).

TLDR: contrary to some reviews this series was pretty good and you should watch it!!!

Honestly it wasn't that bad.

Now I don't write reviews usually, but with how many bad reviews and comments this show has I thought I'd write one. Now I went into this show we no expectations of it being good due it's reviews, but honestly it wasn't half bad. Being logical about, yes the script was a tad weird at time, and yes some parts of the story either didn't make sense or just didn't need to be included. However it wasn't that bad overall. I quite enjoyed it, with a bit of fine tuning to the script this show would have been excellent. The acting was pretty good as well, all be it any time someone cried it did make me feel awkward and it felt forced, but otherwise the actors did a good job. Now the ost for this show, I really love it. I've already added half of the song from the show to my play list. Honestly this show has a kdrama worthy ost (and we all know kdrama ost's are always top tier) I especially like the song next to me, I've not stopped listening to it!
Overall, this show isn't as bad as people say it is. Yeah it has its flaws, but what show doesn't. I think if you can get past the flaws it's a pretty decent show. If its your first time watching this show I say don't drop it just watch to the end and form your own opinion on it. Never really understood people dropping shows, even if I'm not a fan of what I'm watching I'll still watch all the way through then form my opinion. I hope some people like this show, and it definitely doesn't deserve such a low rating like it has gotten.

Under-appreciated show

A story about missed connections and second chances. How many chances do you give each other to get the love you deserve? Daonuea and Nine meet when they're each going through a low point, and they find a connection with each other.

They return to their normal lives and are not in touch for 3 months, when Nine shows up in Daonuea's life suddenly. Little by little, we peel a layer and find each person's truth. Their lives are messy. They're impulsive and insecure. It takes great courage to ask for what one needs because the fear of rejection is very real, and the fear that the trust will be broken again is ever-present.

Even with the slightly confusing editing style (which I got used to), I did enjoy this series. I applauded Daonuea and Nine every time they made the courageous choice and cried with them when courage failed them.

the actors are good

The actors are great for me. They portray their role pretty well. It's just the story, it seems like they can have it by 6 episodes but they're prolonging it to reach 12 episodes. But i love the concept on how they first met.

The special episode is totally unexpected and weeewww it was hot.

We can never teach our hearts to lie and like someone whom you think is better. When we truly love someone show it, let them know and if you have misunderstanding, explain and listen to both sides, escaping the problem will not solve anything, it just added pain to your heart but drinking will lead to good segg. Hahahaha

I actually enjoyed this.

I'm confused by the negative review bombs this show got, I mean not everything is for everyone so that's fair. I understand some people are really triggered by cheating, but I personally love messy and drama filled shows.

To enjoy a show doesn't mean you support the actions within. Do we not enjoy horror movies, action/thriller movies with violence? It doesn't mean we encourage the behavior, we are simply just entertained by dramatic and engaging plots.

Truthfully no one in this show is innocent of wrongdoing. Whether it be lying, cheating, or just morally grey. I think people forget D was not committed to Tee or Nine (until the very end). Sure what he did was hurtful to Tee, but he was honest about his feelings where he struggled to get over Tee hurting him & starting over. He did shut Nine down constantly and expressed trying things again with Tee. It was messy, but the D hate I don't get! He was completely oblivious half the time to what drama was taking place around him.

Also hot take on Nine's ex P. Mental health issues are not a pass to treat people however you want. I hated her character. I was glad to see her healing in the end, but gosh it was a journey to even like her for 5 seconds. As someone with a mental illness, I could not excuse her behavior. She especially was abusive towards her best friend. Candy was shady, but with good intentions. Being in the middle of your 2 best friends is difficult and she struggled!

My only real complaint is the music sometimes was pretty weird for the scenes (especially the spicy scenes).

Anyway, I think if you like a lot of drama this show is worth a shot. I didn't find it boring, slow, or awful so maybe you won't either. Maybe you will. Who knows until you roll the dice!
