Blueming (2022)

A short series doesn't have to feel like one.

This drama was only 11 episodes long but yet didn't feel like it was. did I wish there were more episodes? yes. but that was because I fell so deeply in love with them, I never wanted it to end. the story didn't feel like it went too fast nor did it feel like it went too slow. the creators of this drama did such a good job, I already want to watch it again and I finished it no more than 20 minutes ago. I love how with the drama it wasn't based solely on their relationship but instead them as individuals and showed the insecurities and battles they face in life. we got to see them grow and become people while getting to know each and while falling in love. they showed that everyone has insecurities and battles no matter how they appear to us on the outside. no one is perfect and they should never force themselves to be. I am just absolutely in love and it is definitely on my re-watch list for sure. the leads had phenomenal chemistry and they made you just feel the love they had for each other through your screen. I teared up at last three times. if you're wondering if it is worth watching, listen to me and do yourself a favor and go watch it now!! :)

fluffiness with real raw issues

let me just say, this one did not stay away from importent issues. Communication, understanding, insecurities and even briefly mentioned how hard the life of a women is. i think many of us will be able to relate to this one.

i can really relate to siwon (as i think many of us do) though this may be very personal but i really how they chose his body image. most of the time when ive watched shows with similar plots (e.g. true beauty, fish upon the sky) they focused only on the face (not that theres anything wrong with that!) but i havent been able to find them that relatable personally. but as someone who struggles a lot with their body image i found this one very relatable. again a very personal opinion!

i also loved how we got yet another healthy relationship in bl. yes obviously they werent perfect but i consider them to have a healthy relationship. daun always tried his best to be understanding no matter what. like he said, he just wanted to be perfect, but trying so hard to be perfect ended up causing problems, which kinda goes to show, nobody can ever be perfect, so we dont have to always try so hard.

they also showed us why communication is so importent. without healthy communication, your relationships suffer, and that goes for any relationship. cause youll never be able to at least try and understand the other person without talking, and avoiding the problem never solves anything.

overall, kbls just keep getting better, so if youre looking for a new one to watch definitely watch it, i promise its worth it!!

Perfection

Listen I rarely if ever take the time to write a review. 3 times tops. I was so impressed that I had to come submit a review. The storyline was fresh and well presented, and very relatable. The acting was excellent. Kudos to the cast. No over the top acting. They get you emotionally invested. The soundtrack was smooth, there but not to the point where it took over the scene.
As others have said, they put in work on the cinematography. If gave me One Spring Night vibes. The episodes were short but they didn't feel rushed at all. A couple of times I clicked thinking "we've got to be getting to the end of this episode", but it was just over halfway through. Even so I would have loved to see the POV of both main leads all of the way through. But hey, that leaves room for a season 2 and probably would have made this length feel rushed. It gave you just enough character development of subcast to make you want to know their story too.
Rewatch value is a 10 for me. I can't wait until it is in movie form so I can watch uninterrupted. In spite of that it flowed seamlessly.
This did not feel like a college movie at all. This could have been at any point and time. Very well done.

Don’t think twice, I could bet you’d love it like I do!

I created an account today just to post my review here so you know how serious I am. There are so many BL movies nowadays but they often time lack quality, so I hesitated to watch this one (and I also thought the title could’ve been catchier).

A few minutes into the first episode and I was already hooked. The romance is portrayed beautifully at its own pace, it doesn’t feel rushed despite it being a miniseries. The plot felt natural and not cringey at all. The cinematography and the music were also perfectly suited to the series. What I most like about this series is the fact that the storyline wasn't very heavy on the romance, but it also showed us about family, insecurity and so on. This is proof that a BL doesn’t need a lot of drama with crazy ex girlfriends or a crazy handsome/popular main character. A lot of the time, simplicity is perfection!

Oh and their relationship is so healthy too, where they both resort to communication in times of dispute, and not jumping to conclusions! This is easily going in my top 5 BL series. If you haven’t watched this yet, definitely do now!

My heart bloomed

One of the most beautiful KBL with heart warming story and charismatic actors.. This series really deserve a great applause 💜
The story itself magnificent because I already read the manhwa before this series so of course I was waiting for it and my waiting worth it..
Specially thanks to Directer, she really has chosen beautiful cinematography and made this series more blooming...
The actors here are also well organised and the chemistry between two protagonists are really make my cheeks blush

Most realistic drama out there

This drama did something indescribable to me and made me so attached to is immediately
I‘ve never watched a drama as realistic this one
Everything was delivered so well and authentic that it sometimes felt like I was watching into someone’s real life
The actors dis such an amazing performance and I could feel every single emotion they wanted to deliver
I also loved the plot because there was no unnecessary drama ore stereotyped just two boys who follow their heart without much hesitation and I feel like that‘s what made it so realistic
also they intimate scenes gave me butterfly’s because they were so well executed
I won‘t say anymore than that you are really missing out on something If you don‘t watch it right now

Enredo livre, espontâneo e magnífico.

Primeiramente irei destacar o quão este BL é bom, ele começa prometendo pouco, mas aos poucos vai entregando MUITO! Ele é leve e sincero, mas com muitas críticas, sentimentos reais e situações reais, eu simplesmente me encontrei chorando com isto aqui.
O casal principal é lindo, ele é muito espontâneo e livre, trazendo um romance bem leve para nós, porém com muitas lições e ensinamentos.
Nem todo casal é perfeito como nos filmes, existem brigas, sentimentos ruins e desentendimentos às vezes, e nem sempre sabemos lidar com tudo isso, e foi exatamente como DaWoon se sentiu quando SiWon estava bravo com ele. O bom desta série é que ele mostra ambas as partes e sentimentos, onde podemos compreender o que DaWoon sente, igualmente como podemos compreender SiWon.
Outro ponto muito importante que gostaria de destacar, é a forma que este dorama trata os problemas familiares de forma muito realista, onde vemos, além de problemas como divórcio dos pais de SiWon, a relação entre sua mãe e ele, onde sua mãe comete erros, e ele também, mas ambos aprendem à lidar com isto com o tempo. O mesmo para Si Yeong, sua irmã.
Em outro lado, a família de DaWoon que raramente tem tempo para o mesmo, o que o faz se sentir sozinho e incompreendido em boa parte de sua vida. Eu sinceramente chorei com as palavras de DaWoon quando ele diz que basicamente prefere fotografar e filmar a vida de outras pessoas, pois, para ele, a sua própria vida não parece interessante. Em outro momento também ele destaca que seu sofrimento "não é grande o suficiente comparado ao de outras pessoas", o que me machucou muito, pois a maioria de nós crescemos ouvindo coisas como "Não chore, existem pessoas que sofrem mais que você!" E levamos isto para a vida, mesmo que isto seja uma completa tolice. E é exatamente o que SiWon diz para DaWon, "todos nós temos nossos problemas, tem coisas que parecem boas para alguém, e para outras não.", eu simplesmente amo a forma que esse BL nos pega de surpresa com críticas e lições valiosas de relacionamentos, família e amigos.
Enfim, pessoal, assistam esta série, ela é tão bonita, curtinha e leve. Não vai se arrepender de assistir.

Good

i run away from this series so much and I still don't know why, when I started, I think "It's too slow, another short KR-Bl" but dammit this is so awesome. In all the aspects, It's simple but super sensible and so well tought out. A real monument. The story is simple because dawon and siwon are simple. You only need one ep to fall in love with them.
The acting is so well for such a young age, not just the main role but the lead roles too. The soundtrack is sweet, such good songs to hear when you start your day. The production was good too, nothing bad to point out. the rewatch value is pretty high, is something that you want to comeback always

T'was short but gold!

Oh wow, actually this is not a review but a appreciation letter XD... I think the short time duration of this series is not that bad because after I watched the whole series it feels like a movie that is cut and released accordingly. This series has a budget and they shoot every scenes beautifully ( I'm not a professional to say this but I really apprecite it T.T).

Story: It's better than I expected to be... A college bl definitely. It's not that deep but the story is good. 10/10

Acting; they are so good but I think I still need more emotion from them so it's 8/10 but since I rated this overall it's 10/10

ps: They have a chemistry, I enjoyed watching them, and I don't want to spoil the story because it's literally short I think 10-13 minutes only each episode except the final episode T.T....

Music: uhmm 10/10

Rewatch Value: Actually 7/10 but I want to balance the overall rating... I think I'm still gonna watch this someday...

If you want some sweet and not heavily drama I think this series suits you well... I still recommend this to everyone : )))
