Twenty Five Twenty One
- I like how each student had their own backstory.- It's just a school themed k-drama based around friendship and fencing.
- Some heavier scenes, some lighter scenes.
- It was ok, it wasn't THAT special. (Above Average.)
- There are just too many school themed k-dramas, and it's hard to make one really stand out.
- Overrated (IMO.)
- It's not that bad. But, some parts were kind of boring to watch.
- I wasn't too invested in the romance aspect, I was more invested in the friendship and deeper topics parts.

I loved this show!
I have been watching K-dramas since 2018, and have seen many heart touching ones. However, this one has enchanted me beyond belief. I loved the acting of all the cast, but the main leads were really amazing. I especially loved Nam Joo-hyuk's acting, he really gave so many emotions only with his eyes.This series had so many nice things about it. It is funny, goofy and full of emotions. Personally, I did not get bored at all, and each episode was very interesting.
What I also loved about this show is the feeling of nostalgia it gave. I felt like I was a part of their life and I was really touched whenever things got emotional and I would become teary eyed. I loved all the details of the 90's, that many of us who are younger than the main characters, have not experienced in real life. It made me want to go back to that period of time.
However, like many others, I was disappointed with the ending but I would still definitely recommend this show for any one to watch! So worth it <3

Conmovedoramente deliciosa.
Tenía mis reticencias, no estaba segura de verla, pero quería conocer más sobre la historia contemporánea de Corea del sur y leí que estaba basada en la crisis del FMI de 1998. Así que no me quedo de otra.He de decir que la historia engancha desde el minuto uno. Los personajes están muy bien desarrollados, la fuerza de Na Hee Do, el amor propio de Baek Yi Jin... en fin, todas las historias te atrapan. Tal vez, lo más sorprendente para mi fue que lo que parecía una historia secundaria entre la protagonista y Ko Yu Rim termina siendo, en algunos momentos, más relevante que la principal entre Na Hee Do y Baek Yi Jin.
Y el tema musical "Your existence" de Wonstein es maravilloso.
En definitiva, un dorama más que recomendable y esperemos que con segunda temporada.

DRAMA QUE DEBERÍAN VER, SI ERES JOVEN O ADOLESCENTE
Bueno empezamos, primero hablemos de la historia, siento que en si es una trama muy interesante y divertida, al comienzo nos presentan a una chica común y corriente, que quiere ser esgrimista, y a un chico que quiere ser reportero, tengo un conflicto con la temáticas de friends to lovers, ya que hay ocasiones en las que la amistad se rompe, pero este no fue el caso.Ahora si hablemos de la historia, siente en si que hay partes en las que creó que rompe "cliches" por ejemplo, el hecho de que Baek Yi jin, no se transformara en un "bad boy" por a ver perdido todo ,por los conflictos que había en corea, y otro cliche que rompen, es que Na hee do no sea una chica sumisa, y que quiera cumplir sus propios objetivos.
Siento que el final pudo a ver sido mejor, pero no me malinterpreten, me refiero a que el hecho de que después de varios años, Na hee do recién se de cuenta de que su decisión de a ver terminado su relación con Beek Yi jin no fue un error, al contrario, fue lo mejor, ya que así cada uno pudo a ver seguido su camino como profesionales, pero creó que en la escena donde él le amarra los zapatos debieron haber hablado de como se sentían, pero decidieron solo quedarse callado y abrazarse, ojalá su despedida hubiera sido con palabras que dijieran cada uno, y no años después escrito en un papel.
Pero bueno, en si el drama es una historia muy juvenil y realista, los personajes van afrontando dificultades que se muestran en la realidad, los personajes principales y secundarios fueron demasiado genuinos y cada actor y actriz le dio ese toque de esperanza, ya que a pesar de las adversidades, todo se puede cuando te esfuerzas, ya para terminar, véanselo no se van arrepentir!.🌠

Whats so special about it?
Its gotten so popular out of nowhere and I assume its because of its great cast but this kdrama was such a drag and bore throughout most of the episodes. I guess you really have to love these characters to enjoy most of its episodes but I just couldn't bring myself to find anything interesting. I do admit though that at the end of the episodes like the last few episodes roped me in and I really enjoyed it! So I guess I enjoyed their adult years more than when their story spoke about their teen years which was most of the show...I also found the main characters' relationship weird mostly because of when they met she was underage and he was older. I think those two would've remained best if they always stayed as friends and I'm glad they didn't end up together in the end because there was simply no chemistry between them, in my opinion.Cet avis était-il utile?

The drama was an inspiring youth drama... not until it gets to ep15&16I'm not into happy endings since it's usually predictable but this one didn't gave me that satisfactory of a good ending. Probably the most disappointing ending I ever watched yet.
The story is realistic which is good but it hits you that change is constant and it's inevitable; that no matter how happy you are right now, you can't stay as is forever.
The writer is good at building up viewer's attachment to the characters only to put us into slump in the end.
The story revolves around what Hee Do wrote on her diary so it ended when she found her last diary, that I understand, but it's so unsatisfying since it leaves a lot of questions; not just his husband's identity but also what happened to the others in the future. No matter how adult Hee Do looks happy and satisfied with her current life, the ending still felt sad and depressing at some point.
The type of drama that's so good but also painful to rewatch until the end
Despite my rant, ep1-14 is actually good so I'm giving it a high rating.

I too deny the the fact that they break up atleast but till it will show how life moves on..
So i highly recommend you to watch this drama...

It will bee soo cute to watch their scenes... And they will last forever
And about friendship shared btw the mains will be awesome...
And the director didnt miss anything its an complete packagee....

What we gained from this story:
Even though life puts you in difficult situation there will be someone who motivates us even in that situation and they will be reason for your success..... But sometimes we have leave that person for their happiness and one we only have memories to cherish and its enough

What's with the ending??
Like I said what's with the ending ??! I was expecting a relatively good ending since they both suffered especially Back YiJin But why does it end like that.I liked the story how they met, they changed each other's lives and was courage for each other. The way they still think and remember each other even tho they broke up long ago. Na HeeDo still loves YiJin that's what it looks like, I feel bad for her current husband. YiJin remembers HeeDo when he sees the rainbow that melts my heart I really wished they end up together.
About the rewatch value I will for sure rewatch this because it's unique and unforgottable for me. I would've been happier if I watched it for the first time again and again - yes, that's how much I loved it. The cast being Kim TaeRi and Nam JooHyuk, her being older than him and playing a teen girl role is okay with me since she played it well.

This particular line got me the first time I watched 2521 and, after a rewatch, it made me believe that it's intentionally put there as a summary of the drama's message.The drama is a glimpse into Na Hee-do's and Baek Yi-jin's lives in a time they were forced to grow up in order to survive . When the IMF crisis hit up, they were victims in their own ways. Fencing was the one thing Hee-do loved the most, but she was going through a slump and her mom didn't support her dream of becoming an athlete. After Hee-do's fencing team got called off for lack of funds, she had to put all of her determination in action to find a way to keep pursuing her dreams. Yi-jin's family's business went bankrupt and his family had to scatter away. All of a sudden, he had to leave college, was all by himself without any money and having to be an adult for his younger brother - it didn't help that creditors were going after him after his dad had to disappear for a while. He rented a room around Hee-do's neighborhood and got himself some part-time jobs, and that's when they met.
Hee-do's courage and impulsiveness amazes the filled with despair Yi-jin, while Yi-jin is a source of comfort for Hee-do when she doesn't find anyone to support her in her endeavors. Because they were together helping and encouraging each other, dark times became lighter and full of friendship and joy. Taking part on that joy are the friends they make along the way and who brought even more light into Hee-do's and Yi-jin's lives, and it was a delight to see them growing up together and overcoming their fears and obstacles. The world isn't nice to them, but they learn how to take beauty even from the hardships.
2521 is a beautiful drama that highlights how magnificent being young can be, how we feel infinite and invincible and see everything with the brightest hope; how some moments can be filled with the most absolute bliss and others with heart wrenching pain, but have equally important roles in our process of growing up. And most importantly, that because nothing is eternal, we should enjoy each moment to its fullest, specially the happiest ones - they are like fireworks: pretty and loud, but nonetheless short.

Presa até hoje nessa perfeição...
Apesar de eu ter terminado há um tempo, ainda me encontro presa neste dorama...Não tenho palavras para descrever o que 2521 significa pra mim. Eu desenvolvi uma amizade platônica tão grande com os personagens que me arrasou quando ele terminou. Amo quando isso acontece mas ao mesmo tempo sinto muita falta.
Tudo nele é perfeito. O elenco preciosíssimo arrasou na atuação e no entrosamento. Meu querido Joo Hyuk fazendo um show mais uma vez com uma maravilhosa atuação e com um personagem pitico que nunca me decepciona. A Kim Tae Ri também se tornou uma atriz muito querida para mim. Admiro muito o trabalho dela, e por mais que ainda conheça pouco sobre ela, sinto que ela é alguém incrível. Mereceu o prêmio com toda certeza. A Bona também arrasou! Admiro ela demais. Enfim, todo o elenco foi incrível.
Das OST nem preciso falar nada, escuto e canto 24/7. Sobre o desfecho, apesar de ter sido "heartbroken", ainda sim eu amei, porque não acho que haja outra maneira de ter terminado tão lindamente. (a não ser que o Baek Ijin tivesse escolhido outra profissão). Um desfecho com uma beleza única e triste, o amor deles nunca acabou... apenas se transformou em admiração e carinho eternos.

2521: Um dorama sobre amadurecimento e a juventude dos anos 90
Repleto de emoções, Twenty Five, Twenty One é sobre jovens em buscas dos seus sonhos no final dos anos 90."Vamos ser felizes juntos, mesmo que seja por um breve momento". Acho que esse trecho é o que melhor define o dorama Tweety Five, Tweenty One.
A trama acompanha a história da jovem esgrimista Na Hee Do (Kim Taeri) e do Baek Jin (Nam Joo Hyuk) a partir de 1998 quando a Coreia do Sul estava enfretando a crise do Fundo Monetário Internacional (FMI). O primeiro episódio inicia quando a filha de Na Hee Do vai passar um tempo na casa da avó e acaba encontrando nas coisas antigas da mãe os diários dela.
Conforme Kim Min-chae (Choi Myung-bin) vai lendo o diário de Na hee-do, somos apresentados aos personagens e acontecimentos da trama no final dos anos 90, na entrada dos anos 20.
Como de costume, vi um trecho de um episódio no TikTok e essa foi a razão pela qual decidi assistir. E não me arrependi. Acho lindo essas histórias ocorridas nos anos 90. O cenário e a fotografia da trama me lembrou de a Garota do Século XX. Em alguns episódios conseguia fazer um paralelo do que os personagens de ambas as histórias poderiam estar fazendo naquele exato momento.
A proposta do enredo em si é coerente, mostra como a Na Hee-do e o Baek Jin se conheceram em meio as dificuldades que ambos enfrentaram durante a crise e apresenta uma realidade, de fato, ocorrida em 1998.
Uma das coisas que eu mais amei na história é, sem dúvidas, o quanto a Na Hee-do é destemida e persistente. Desde cedo ela sonhava em ser esgrimista e lutou de fato para isso, mesmo com muitos desacreditando dela e a relação conturbada com a mãe. Além disso, ela é extrovertida e tem uma energia contagiante.
Já o Baek Jin, que teve sua família separada durante a crise do FMI, estava em busca de uma nova vida em meio a uma realidade totalmente diferente do que ele estava acostumado. O personagem tem um coração gigante, é inteligente, focado e o enxergo como uma esponjinha que absorve quase tudo ao seu redor. É bem interessante acompanhar o desenrolar desses dois personagens, que servem de apoio um para outro em momentos difíceis, e confome vão evoluindo, fica evidente como ambos amadurecem.
Em meio a tudo isso, também somos apresentados aos personagens secundários Ko Yurim (Bona), Moon Jin-ung (Cho Hyun-wook)e Ji Seung-wan (Lee Joo-myung). A construção da amizade deles é o que traz leveza e torna a história mais divertida.
Twenty-five, Twenty One é um k-drama nostálgico, divertido e realista. Apresenta a transição de jovens para a vida adulta em busca de seus sonhos de uma forma intensa e nos faz refletir sobre como os momentos vividos na juventude são únicos.

Podría haber sido uno de mis kdramas favoritos de la vida, pero le faltó un poquito.
¡Hola a todos y bienvenidos a mi primer reseña de un kdrama en mucho tiempo!En resumen, #TwentyFiveTwentyOne cuenta la historia de amor entre Na Hee Do, una chica que es miembro del equipo de esgrima de su escuela y sueña con ser la rival de su ídola Ko Yu Rim, y Baek Yi Jin, un joven de familia adinerada que termina en bancarrota durante la crisis económica que tuvo Corea a finales de los 90.
A grandes rasgos podríamos definir a esta serie como un "coming of age" hecho y derecho. Es hermosa la manera en la que retrataron las peripecias de crecer (incluyendo decepciones, primeros amores, nuevas amistades, etc). Es, sin lugar a dudas, una serie que te saca una sonrisa y te hace lagrimear en más de una ocasión por lo nostálgica y bonita que resulta (y también por lo dolorosa, porque la serie no teme meterse con temas que te llegan al cora sin llegar a caer en golpes bajos).
La esencia de los 90 y principios de los 2000 es otra cosa que quiero destacar, porque está muy bien lograda. Amo esta época para ambientar romances juveniles, ya que la falta de, por ejemplo, celulares inteligentes, ayuda mucho a crear un aura más simple y romántica, al menos para mí.
Absolutamente todo lo que muestran en el dorama me encantó: la pareja principal tiene un desarrollo hermoso, la pareja secundaria me dio mil años de vida, los personajes en general son muy buenos (quiero casarme con la protagonista), no hay conflictos innecesarios, no hay triángulos amorosos molestos, la amistad que retratan en todas sus formas está muy bien representada, la determinación de luchar por tus sueños te llega y un largo etc.
Peeero no todo es positivo. Así como amé todo lo que me mostraron, eché en falta que se ahondara más en ciertos temas que en un principio parecía que iban a ser relevantes. Siento que en cierto punto, la serie se olvidó de varias cosas para centrarse solo en la pareja principal. Y al final me quedé con la sensación de que me faltaron algunas explicaciones. Una lástima, podría haberse ido a mis favoritos indiscutibles de la vida.
Aún así, una genialidad. Súper recomendable.
Ah, y el final a mí me gustó, el desarrollo de todo me pareció muy bueno.
