I see a lot of bad reviews on here, and plenty of people saying the show is not worth watching. There's only 8 episodes, and they're 20 minutes long with the credits. Give it a chance, it'll surprise you. The acting is actually quite good, the story does draw you in, some parts are sprinkled in a trope comic relief, and the love story (though ultimately, and realistically, heart wrenching) makes it worth watching. As far as the ending, it definitely leaves one quite thirsty. Perhaps leaving it open for a spin off? Or for dreamers to write fan fiction? Who knows. Found a rare creature, but it's barely alive.
I have a feeling that this series has been affected by a lack of budget or other constraints that the creators face making a BL series in China (how it's even possible, I have no idea). Unfortunately, even the most forgiving viewer will find it hard to lavish praise on the series.While one might be fine with the story with little originality, there is a dire lack of development. The leads' relationships with their respective families is potentially interesting and affect their personal decisions (especially with Cheng Yi). Had the character relationships been fully fleshed out, the characters would have been more relatable. The last couple of episodes seem a little too hurried, with the sudden appearance of Cheng Yi's mother and the events that follow, culminating in what some have called a rape scene (although I don't think it was intended to be understood as one, the whole scene could have been crafted more sensitively). Apart from the leads, there is a side couple of sorts, but again, there simply isn't enough development and just as they seem to be getting somewhere, nothing else is shown.
At times, the dialogue shows some potential, but the delivery of the lines can be so amateurish that it makes one cringe. Again, this is a sign that there simply wasn't sufficient budget to create something that would allow the full potential of the series to be realized.
It's funny that the censored BLs from China actually turn out to be better than this actual BL.

Too Short, Too Rushed, Too Bad!
Oh well, not too much to say about this show. I liked the actors, but I don't think this show utilized their talents. Of course a bl out of China is going to be so tame it's not really a blOverall, it had some good scenes and a bit of a story, but the episodes were short and there just wasn't enough time to develop a strong story. Every episode could have been expanded upon.
The actors were not bad, there was no point in a second couple because they had virtually no screen time.
The ending was the biggest disappointment!
No rewatch value for me. I was hoping for something more than this.

started great but incomplete ending
On average, an episode is like 20 minutes, out of which 3-4 minutes just go towards what already happened and the series song/video.In many episodes, things are extended a lot although since it's done nicely it doesn't bore much.
The series was good, a bit short but even the short story was extended but since it was put nicely it just matched but the ending completely spoiled the series, it just felt purely incomplete.
I think the makers might have thought of it as a window for 2nd season but if the 1st season doesn't end well people won't recommend it to anyone, ratings would drop and the scope of 2nd season will just decrease.
i myself wont recommend to watch this series.

it started okay but the ending ruined everything
Honestly it started okay, it never was a masterpiece but it was watchable. You clearly can tell the the budget was not a lot but that didn't bother me because I was surprised enough of getting a BL from China in the first place so I expected that the budget would be really limited.I liked the first Episode and until the last Episodes I would have gave it 7/10 but then the last Episode came and I really thought in 2022 we are finally done with those "forced scenes" in the BL industry but I guess we aren't, this scene was so unnecessary and totally ruined the Drama for me.
And then the actual ending.. that does not feel like an ending?! I mean do they plan to make a second season? idk but for me the story doesn't really seem complete.
The acting was okay, they did the best they could in my opinion. I did not like the acting from some supporting cast but the main leads were okay.
Would I recommend someone watching that Drama? No, not really, in the end it was a waste of time really.

Chinese BL drama, THATS WHY.
when I started watching this drama, I've already got a glimpse of what will be the ending it. There is no problem with the chemistry, it's just the story or the storyline. I have no high expectations of this series since it's from china.One thing that I'm disappointed with is that they didn't show the story of the second lead couple, they're just so cute and it's definitely a promising couple. So back from the story, so it's all about two friends since childhood with their high school life revolving around friendship, love, and family problems. When it comes to their acting, it can be improved and still not bad.
I think if this was made in another country, this series will become open. it will become a promising drama.
I have a lot of things to say about this series but ill just leave it here.

Decepção.
Eu não sei nem como começar isso aqui de tão revoltada que estou. Se eu fosse fazer uma resenha desse drama antes de assistir os dois últimos eps, eu daria um sete, por mais que ele não seja incrível e revolucionário, eu estava achando legalzinho e fofo. Mas esse final???? O que eles estavam pensando quando decidiram fazer o que fizeram?? Conseguiram estragar TUDO em apenas dois eps. Sinceramente, estou decepcionada.A história, como eu disse, até o episódio seis é boa. Um romance simples e clichê de dois melhores amigos que começam a sentir coisas a mais um pelo outro, ok, tudo bom, tudo legal. O que quebra é realmente o final, que não faz sentido, eles destroem o protagonista, e ao invés de usar o tempo pra concertar o erro, ficam botando flash back de coisa que a gente já viu (inclusive de cenas que passaram a segundos atrás).
Pra mim, é um drama sem nenhum ponto forte. A atuação é ok e a música é ok também. Tinha tudo pra ter uma notinha maior, porém o surto do final não tem como deixar passar.

Meh the ending ruined it…
When I was watching this BL, I did enjoy it at times. I like the friends to lovers trope so I thought the plot truly had potential but the ending ruined it. For us to finally get a confession then not see them together was a huge disappointment which is why I gave it a 7. A 7 because it had great potential and an interesting plot at times but the ending and the longing of a confession was just annoying. I think it was just sad that he had to move at the end right after they finally confessed and understood each other’s feelings and intentions. I would’ve rated it lower but I did enjoy it in the beginning and felt like if the ending was revised then it would’ve been really good.I did feel like the characters had decent chemistry between each but I don’t really know about the “side couple”. They were just kind of there and wasn’t really interesting or had any true development.

The ending ruined it
At first it was okay, the story was promising and the actors were doing their best. There were times were I felt like they skipped a few steps for example the first kiss.. I mean, where did that even come from? And how did Lu Xiang Xin know about Cheng Yi's feelings before he even thought of Ling Zi Ming like that?? The short amount of time for Lu Xiang Lin to be heartbroken and then fall in love again?? It wasn't even a minute! He found Yue Yu Zhi annoying and now he's in love with him?? Maybe if the drama was a little longer they could've added a little more.The ending was a major turn off. There was no consent but Cheng Yi did it anyway. That kind of pissed me off because Ling Zi Ming had true feelings towards Cheng Yi, so it must have been disappointing to have the person you like do something that awful to you.
And then he just left after that?
Let's just say that this drama was not the best and you could probably live without it.

BL chinês com beijo, agora o meteoro vem
Bem, mais uma série revista, e vamos às considerações...Primeiro, eu lembro muito bem, que quando a série foi lançada eu tive medo de assistir, pois a China tem o histórico de estragar quase todos os BL's transformando-os em bromance, e eles só sobrevivem nosso imaginário se o plot realmente for incrível. Esse fator me fez resistir um pouco, mas optei por dar uma chance. Foi a melhor série que já vi? Não! Mas não acho que mereça todo o hate que sofreu.
Vamos falar do roteiro, na verdade, um grande clichê. Dois amigos de infância, um deles apaixonado e consciente disso, e o outro também apaixonado, mas tapado o suficiente para não perceber, e ainda magoar o outro com suas atitudes infantis e idiotas. Quando eles perceberam o sentimento, creio que muita coisa se misturou na cabeça de ambos. Ling Zi Ming tinha certeza de sus sentimentos, mas não ficou pulando de alegria ao ver uma centelha de sentimento em Cheng Yi, talvez por conhecê-lo tão bem a ponto de saber que poderia ser apenas um fogo de palha, do qual ele seria o único a sair queimado.
Por outro lado, quando Cheng Yi começou a perceber seus sentimentos, talvez a confusão mental que se formou nele foi maior do que ele podia enfrentar, era como se ele não se reconhecesse diante dos sentimentos que agora ele via que sempre estiveram ali. Talvez esse foi o motivo que o fez decidir ir embora com a mãe a quem ele aparentemente desprezava. Óbvio, há quem ache que foi por causa do pedido da avó, mas eu acho que não. Talvez a pessoa mais sábia em meio a isso tenha sido Lu Xiang Xin, que percebeu os sentimentos dos dois e jogou isso na cara dele, o que levou ao meu surto: o beijo... a China liberou um beijo, esse foi o motivo do meu colapso.
E enfim chegamos aos dois últimos eps. Há quem diga que eles são desnecessários, que a série deveria ter acabado no ep 6, que foi tudo estragado por esses dois capítulos, enfim... tenho sentimentos conflitantes quanto a isso.
A maior e mais pesada crítica, paira sobre a relação sexual que eles tiveram, onde aparentemente Cheng Yi forçou em relutante Ling Zi Ming a transar, e na verdade a sensação de estupro que a cena passa é terrível (me senti lendo Addicted heroin). A cena não foi mostrada inteira, mostra a parte em que Cheng Yi se impõe, e a cena corta para após o ato, quando eles estão bem, conversando sobre sua relação e sentimentos. Não acho que posso dizer com certeza que foi um estupro, ele se impôs, mas como a cena é cortada, posso também sopor (hipoteticamente) que Ling Zi Ming cedeu, vai saber o que se passa na cabeça desses roteiristas... de qualquer forma, havia inúmeras maneiras de fazer essa cena de outra forma mais suave, sem gerar esse sentimento negativo, que para muitos, manchou a série inteira. E mesmo que aqui no ocidente não entendamos tanto da cultura chinesa, é perceptível que a visão que eles tem de pessoas e relações homo afetivas é bem preconceituosa, como se essas pessoas sejam promíscuas, más, sujas... talvez venha daí a ideia de certas cenas que nos deixam desconfortáveis.
O que realmente foi desnecessário pra mim, foi a separação dos dois, foi o fato de precisarem estar tão longe para poderem finalmente dizer que se gostavam.
Sobre os aspectos técnicos, já falei sobre o roteiro, o que automaticamente nos leva a direção. A série não tinha um grande orçamento, até pq não creio que exista muito patrocínio para séries BL na China, mas a atuação, fotografia e ost estiveram impecáveis.
É uma série que recomendo, com aviso de gatilho, mas recomendo.

Deep feelings from this one
I really liked Hu Bo Wen, and his emotions felt very real. This had a problematic scene but i still felt it was a good show.For such a short one I enjoyed watching how he felt and how it progressed. The ending was unexpected, and I'm a bit on the dark side so I could let that incident go and have them continue their relationship. But where they both ended up at the very end, it made me sad.
It made me feel even more for Hu Bo Wens character, here he just went through something traumatic and life changing and the person who caused it, well, you know...
I would love to see a season 2 where someone comes and mends the broken pieces that were surely left behind in his heart.

Pathetic ending
The series was short and mediocre at best. I wouldn't write anything but for my annoyance at the ending. I think it's disrespectful to keep making BL's where the relationship finally gets going just to have one of them suddenly have to move across the country, or the world, for God knows how long. This plot device is old and tired and I just don't know why it's so frequently used nowadays. Writers need to be brave and write conflict without taking the easy way out by using distance or death. Come on!So, yeah, the series wasn't all that good but the ending just tanked it further in my opinion.
