Uh
Before I start my lil rant, lemme clarify this : You Make Me Dance is not a bad drama, just not my kind of drama. With that being said, I still have to honestly say that I believe my already low IQ dropped a lot after watching all the eight short episodes. The plot was ridiculous, and the plotholes were so blatantly in my face. The cheesiness was full on from the first till the last episodes. I get that it was a short drama, but it felt like they couldn't care less about telling a story that makes sense.
Lemme point out the things that didn't work for me:
1. The debt premise. - The debtor lived in a fancy house and didn't even have any real job to sustain himself - he simply danced his heart out, hoping that his debt will magically disappear. Why oh why?
2. The hurt leg. - Someone intentionally hurt your leg, an important part of your body that your entire life depended on, and voila you simply let them walk away freely from you without even getting angry at them? Mind you, you don't even deserve it in the first place and didn't even get as much as an apology from it.
3. The I'll push my beloved away and hurt their feelings and be cold just because I gotta go somewhere far. What kind of bs is this in this modern era?!
4. The fancy house and the lack of job. Dude, if you were really that struggling with money, find sth less fancy to live in and get a freaking job!
5. The tied legs. Dude, use your hands and freaking undo it instead of hopping around like an idiot!
There were many others but I'm too tired to type them all out.
And I think the acting was pretty bad for a Kdrama with unnatural scenes playing throughout the 8 episodes.

Homophobia
Why do these actors do such a beautiful job on these scripts where there may be some gay content and then afterwards they become homophobic and ruin the whole aspect of it?He did a wonderful job in this show why did he have to become homophobic afterwards?
He should not get 10 stars even though he was a 10 star actor because afterwards he became homophobic and trashed his reputation as a result.

Love from different worlds
This plot is very unique and well-executed. I enjoyed every part of it. Hong Seok and Shi On are from different worlds and have completely different lives but despite that, they managed to fall in love and I think that teaches an important lesson. Love is a crazy thing and it can happen in any situation, even between a debtor and a contractor. The drama is very fluffy and it's nice to watch given that it's very short. There was not a single awkward moment in the series, which is a very nice break from some of the mainstream BLs. It's a short and sweet drama, the leads have excellent chemistry and the acting is on point, and the story is very different and doesn't adhere to many tropes, and even the visuals are beautiful, so I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a short series to binge.

Worth Watching
When I found out that there was another Korean BL coming out after To My Star, I was so excited to watch it! The first two episodes was eeee okay I guess. Just a basic introduction to the drama. But as the story goes by, I could actually see that their relationship and feelings for each other started to grow. A relationship from just being a debtor and a creditor to a couple is just cute lol. And adding the subplot about the red string that connects your destined lover is wonderful and a great idea😂. The acting was on point but I do have to say that some acting were too cheesy and cringey :( But that is not a problem😅. I actually hated both of the antagonist. Oh ya and before watching this, be careful and get ready for episode 7 & 8 because there's going to be a lot of kiss kiss😂. JUST WATCH IT OKAY IT'S NOT A WASTE OF TIME. SO SWEET!!🥰🥰Cet avis était-il utile?
Sweet & Refreshing
YMMD is a sweet BL that is short but to the point in all the good ways. The chemistry is great between the leads, there's appropriate conflict to propel the characters in the best dramaland has to offer, and there's plot.As with Korean BL's to date, this shows one shortcoming is length. There could have been a lot more foundation for the characters had there been a couple more episodes. That is really my only complaint. Getting past that though, this makes for an extremely pleasant watch. For such a short drama, we get some mild character development, lovely moments between the leads, and an actual plotline that manages to stay decently relevant throughout. The music is nice to listen to and the cinematography is on point. I appreciate the scenes when Shi On is dancing as they really made sure to focus on the moves and bring out the beauty. This left an honest smile on my face by the end and generally good feelings about the overall experience.
All in all, I would definitely recommend if you're a BL lover or even just looking for something short and wholesome to watch.

Worth the watch!
Yet another South Korean BL series that deserved a longer run time.I know without a doubt the show's execution of its plot would have been much better had more time been awarded, but I will always enjoy the premise of muses and thought the two main leads played their roles well (although there was a slight lack of chemistry during the kissing scenes).
Some characters were unnecessary, the music had little to no impact for me, but overall, You Make Me Dance is good for when you need something to cleanse your palate. Short, sweet, and simple.

I've seen better but loved the kisses
The story needed some improvement - ep 8 was completely unnecessary and the first few episodes were extremely depressing. Debtor is a depressing job, nothing romantic about that for me.The best part of this show was the kissing, thank you for real and intense kisses. I felt the emotion in those scenes.
The music was great but my biggest problem with the show is I WANTED DANCING!! I wanted to see a full routine, not fake snapshots. I was hoping the dancing would play a more central role, and I was very disappointed.
Other issues - running through snow with no shoes? Getting out of a car that he's driving to run all the way back home? Breath fogging indoors suggesting it's freezing inside? What happened with Hyeong's job at the end? Why didn't we get to see the villain's reaction in the end? What's the truth about Shi On's mother?

2nd Best KOREAN BL SERIES after…
Sorry its a second place for me becoz for me the best korean bl so far is "Where your eyes linger" that bl series is superb i love it, but "You make me so far" is also topnotch short bl series, but i was dissapointed becoz it really ended pretty quickly and its really fast paced huhuhu should have been made a FULL SERIES like 16 episodes (40-60 min duration per episodes) . i love also the refreshing plot, a dancer (contemporary i think?) And also a loan shark debt collector love story ok girl its weird pairing but worth to watch becoz ther chemistry is beyond my horizon and also to steamy kiss scene u cant im dead already, abd also the actors are so fcking handsome and all have very hot bodies, perfect for my 3 part meal lmao purr. Im a fan of Won Hung hoon i think i have a crush on him lmao i love him he is such a daddy material. Highly recommended it.Cet avis était-il utile?

A loan-shark and a contemporary dancer. Storyline both intrigued and fascinate me! The moment I saw the poster—I knew I must watch this mini-series. It literally captivated and compelled me.
You Make Me Dance is so beautifully choreographed—there isn’t a moment I did not like. I truly appreciate the simple scenes that are so sincere — it makes me feels warm and fuzzy.
I especially love the bond the creators showed us without making it overly sexual.
Truly a beautiful series that deserve more recognition and respect. I feel like it gets overshowed by other BL series that’s not even up to par. What a pity!

well executed!!
pros:- the storyline was really masterful, a really solid job for such a short drama
- actors were great, had good chemistry and cute moments (sometimes bls have bad kissing scenes where one of the actors is hesitant but not for this one :)
- i like how simple they kept it, they didnt try to introduce any unnecessary side characters
- pretty realistic, no repetitive, generic moments where all they do is fall on each other
- liked the way this drama incorporated dancing, very pleasing to watch
cons:
- i feel like their relationship progressed pretty fast, i kept having to reminding myself why they liked each other in the first place (wouldve been better if the show hinted about how much time had passed)
- sometimes i didnt like the debtor’s character (dragging and pulling his lead)

This is soo cute
It's simple and I really love cute little romances. I was not expecting the red thread theory. The ending feels a bit rushed and forced BUT it was cute and I cried. I've watched better things but they're really cute.Cet avis était-il utile?
