A satisfying drama overall. Well done!
To sum up, there is not much to nitpick about this drama.-The plot is nicely written - the characters are believable people, the events are not far fetched, there are no bloody drama for the sake of drama.
-Casting is done well. Reba and YY are made for their roles. They might not be the best among their peers but they did well enough and keep improving. I love them in this drama.
-Production values are great. The drama has good film texture and you can tell Tencent is not stingy with their budget. If only most dramas are filmed like this.
In short, a well made drama 👍

What a Great Binge
So, this is my first review. I accidentally clicked the button and decided to give it a whirl then discovered I put it in the wrong place so the same review exists under Episode 30 as a reaction :).Sorry it turned out so long.
Synopsis of my review: The chemistry between Yang Yang and Dilraba is the main draw. The story is secondary but not bad. At first, I LOVED the story, then I only liked it as the middle dragged and I had to skip a bunch of stuff about Chinese space exploration, then I LOVED it again near the end as the relationship took front and center again, and finally, MEH at the end.
Full Review: What did I love? The ML and FL! They had such great chemistry.
Yang Yang is always sexy and handsome, but his face has been like a stone in every show I've seen him in. It fits in Lost Tomb and maybe in Love O2O and Kings Avatar (which I never did finish), but it is also a bit boring. This time, his stern expression would soften as he struggled with his emotions. I felt that clench in my gut when he looked at Dilraba wistfully, and I felt his pain as he realized how stupid he had been. Now, I may actually go back and watch some of his other shows to see if I am missing out.
Dilraba is always beautiful. I watch her occasionally because I love her expressions and overall look. I never finish any of her shows because most of them seem to be either Xanzia or Wuxia and very few of those can keep my attention for long, even when they are well done because they are so melodramatic. But now that I have seen Dilraba and Yang Yang together, I may not be able to watch her in anything else. (just kidding, I'm going to go find some others and see if the chemistry is as good - I didn't feel it for Eternal Love of Dream - which I dropped - but maybe some of the others will be as good).
***Spoiler Alert.***
The storyline is another draw. Though these folks are not normal people, they are believable, as are all of the side characters. The story progresses, it started with video gaming, and I thought, "Oh, he's doing that again." but then it shifted. The game stayed in the background for a long time but never became front and center again after the first third of the show. The middle was about building the relationship, including making realistic mistakes and trying to make amends. And they didn't shy away from implying sexual attraction, which would have been silly with such beautiful people. Once this couple hooks up, they hook up! Their relationship is complicated, and these complications are glossed over but not ignored. I like that.
Oh, but the ending sucked! We have spent 31 episodes and 15.5 hours getting to know this couple and their world, and in the last 30 minutes, we are introduced to a whole new cast of characters, a conflict that is supposed to mirror the main couple's possible conflict, and the Glory of China as they launch into space. I mean, the first person he calls is his best friend after launching the rocket, which I can forgive, but then the main couple just hugs and walk away. No closure, no hint of a future together. We know they are in love, but we don't know if they will progress. I would have loved a sly baby announcement or something to queue me in that this relationship will keep growing even after the curtain falls.
Also, the wedding is a disappointment and a bit weird. Really, everything from the wedding on feels like a downhill slide. I feel they could have done more with this. Maybe it could have gone longer, and we could have seen more about their married life.
In the end, I may be missing a bit of the point of the show because I literally skipped through EVERYTHING that didn't involve the main couple. SO MUCH aerospace stuff that I skipped and parties or conversations Dilraba had without Yang Yang. Perhaps if I had watched and enjoyed that aspect of the show, this ending would have felt more satisfying.
My other complaint is that this show seemed to really center around Yang Yang's character more than being an equal split with Dilraba. Why did we see so much of his aerospace engineering and so little of her acting/movie-making?
***Spoiler Over***
I still enjoyed the ride. With all its flaws, the beauty and chemistry of the main (and only) couple were outstanding and enough to keep me watching episode after episode until I couldn't keep my eyes open! Skip the boring stuff, and it is a beautiful relationship story. I almost wished I'd stopped at episode 30 because that would have been a more satisfying ending on the relationship side. But I didn't, and I bet you won't either. The couple is just too engaging to not hungrily watch every moment you can of them together. I hope they make more shows/movies together. The reason for the 9 instead of 9.5 was the ending. The reason for the 9.5 instead of a 10 is because of the parts I had to skip.
Thank you, Youtubers, for making clips of this show, so I got curious. I'm so glad I checked it out and hope you will too.

Why you should watch this?
It took me several attempt to finish this drama. The very first one was when it was released. The first 2 eps didn't really caught my attention, same goes with the 2nd and 3rd attempt. Then on January 2, 2023. I gave it a shot again and glad I did. I think this is one of those drama we are all looking for.1. No ANNOYING 2nd lead couple
2. No CRAZY Exes. I mean they were there BUT glad they were mature enough to accept and move on.
3. No SUPER, DUPER, STUPID break up reasons. Yes I know they had their reasons why they parted ways in a few eps. BUT that's understandable for me.
4. Lots of Lovey Dovey moments
5. Family, Friends and Fans are supportive. How I wish it's the same with all our beloved actors, actresses and idols.
6. Just perfect.
7. And Yu Yu raised my standard again. (Sorry mom, I'll be forever alone unless I meet my Yu Yu.
I mean this is a so good to be true drama. But heck. I never felt tired watching this. I feel so happy and been rewatching all their moments.

This has nothing missing!!! Its all you want
You might have read reviews which said its too long and story got boring and stiff ask yourself the purpose of you watching the drama it is to escape reality and think this is the perfect drama which is realistic but is an escape from your reality. Till 21 episodes the story is their after it it is all fan service. Cute kisses to seductive kisses obedient guy to dominant guy you will get everything and not to mention the ost. And if that is not enough the behind the scenes on their yt channel is definition of cuteness overload. Their are the power couples of cdrama if i am saying this i mean it. You will regret if you dont watch but everybody has their own taste so if your looking for a basic drama it is not that it has slow burn romance with chemistry and maturity as wellCet avis était-il utile?
Lovely Story, Good Acting, and the Healthiest Relationship you've ever seen
Rating the drama 8.5 SIMPLY cos of the first half being a little too filled with games, and there being a little too much detailing into the scientific aspects which felt a bit dragged, otherwise the drama is a 10/10 for the relationship between the couple which was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and one of the best that I've ever seen! There are so many things that I absolutely adored about this show! The lead characters share a relationship that is warm, loving, and filled with mutual respect and understanding for each other. I loved it to bits!

Its not a Gaming Drama
I am one of those who hate Chinese Gaming dramas.. they are just either Too much into Anime scenes of Leads inside the game ( Love O2O) or spend so much time explaining stuff that literally makes no sense ( Falling into your smile). I dropped both of those dramas in less than 10 episodes just because of the gaming scenes and stuff. There are some gaming scenes in the first few episodes of the drama but they have been just done right. They are very realistic to how we play games online. They don't go into Major Animations or Major explanations. They do explain some aspects of the gaming engine but its more towards on how to play the game and what that game is all about.
The gaming scenes are also them tapping into the Mobile screen instead of playing inside the game (like Love O2O). which makes the drama even better than the drama so focused on gaming.

Impressed at how much the actors have improved
I won't say that I'm a fan of Yang Yang or Dilreba, but I have watched almost all of their dramas. I came to know about Yang Yang after watching The Four but I liked him after watching his variety shows. To make things better, he's from the People's Liberation Army Academy of Art (I have a soft spot for artists that came from this school coz they are the epitome of discipline, skills and talent). But I was a little hesitant on praising Yang Yang's acting in the past, as his past roles were too similar to one another and he doesn't have many dramas under his belt. I thought that he was too reserved as an actor. But his role as Yu Tu proved me wrong. Yang Yang is really a great actor and I look forward to seeing his military movie!!!Dilreba suits her role. She's basically the exact fit. When I read this novel a few years back, I was already thinking about Reba in my head. So I'm glad that she had taken on this role and Jing Jing.
I hope that there can be more dramas on Engineers and Researchers. I am bored of seeing dramas about CEOs, doctors, lawyers etc. We need more dramas to change the public opinion about Engineers and Researchers (or Mathematicians etc the stereotypical dry and mundane occupations).

You Are My Glory is so sweet and drama-free. It's a breath of fresh air to see characters nearing 30 and having a mature relationship, facing relatable struggles. The story focuses solely on Yu Tu and Jing Jing with no side plots. The supporting cast is filled with really likable characters that helped make this drama more fun, like Yu Tu's friend Zhai Liang and Jing Jing's manager and assistant. Much of Yu Tu's storyline is about his dream of exploring space, which was very inspiring.
Dilraba really shines as Jing Jing and I think this is my favorite role of hers. She tends to lean into being cutesy but in this drama, strikes the right balance. Jing Jing is quick-witted and funny, but also a genuine and straightforward person. I liked that there are a lot of really fun moments that aren't overdramatized. I've never impressed by Yang Yang's acting but find him well-suited for a restrained, pensive character like Yu Tu.
Initially I thought, another gaming drama? But this drama didn't remind me of any other gaming dramas that I've watched! I don't know anything about games like the one they play in the first part of this drama (don't worry, gaming isn't the focus of the entire drama!) but I still found this storyline to be surprisingly captivating! It's so cute to see Jing Jing working hard to practice playing the game and Yu Tu training her.
It's so nice that there are no annoying drama cliches here - no love triangle, no parents disapproving, etc. Instead there are a lot of nice, smaller moments that are funny or delightful or moving. In a few scenes I found the writing/scene set-up questionable, like maybe it made sense on paper (in the novel), but seeing it unfold on screen felt unrealistic. Overall, this drama brought me a lot of joy!
P.S. Love the cameo by Janice Wu!

Just watch it - electrifying chemistry and mesmerizing moments
This will be my shortest review: just watch this. The leads are incredible. The plot is logical and is extremely fun. All the characters are supportive and fascinating, allowing this drama to be a light-hearted watch, but at the same time, you become invested in the leads themselves. My one area of complaint is that it focuses a tad too much on gaming or aerospace engineering. The first 14~ eps go very into detail of a mobile game (perhaps even more than some "gaming dramas") and just as you're getting used to the gaming aspect, it essentially gets completely dropped in the second half! If it was kept more consistent, would've been better. The latter half is really dominated by aerospace engineering, with lots of exposition - the exposition doesn't bring too much value to the story but really slows it down and is pretty inconsequential. The weakest part of the drama by far is the final 2 episodes. It wraps up relatively nicely/happily/realistically but the final two episodes essentially have the leads be apart for 90% of the scenes. It took away the best part of the drama so the final scenes felt underwhelming to be the conclusion of such a great drama. There were so many iconic, passionate, heart-warming moments but for me, the LAST scene didn't do it. Small complaint, but just know that it's there. If the drama was shortened to ~28episodes (fixed pacing regarding gaming/engineering and a better final two episodes), it would have been even more perfect.
Still - just watch it.

Awesome series
Ok, I may be a bit bias on the review.... as I am a very big fan of both Yang Yang and Dilraba. Storyline wise, I extremely love the storyline. It is nice, quirky in some areas, humorous and definitely the cheekiness of Dilraba. ^^ Yet another awesome Actor and Actress couple that work well together making the series even more enjoyable and loved. Watching Yang Yang´s seriousness and aloofness together with Dilraba´s outgoing and cheekiness is extremely enjoyable. The soundtrack / OST is also extremely nice and beautiful, well paired with the series.Cet avis était-il utile?
Just Like The Title Says!!!
I only wish I had watched it when it just came out as its not on the main asian apps I watch these dramas. I love everything about this drama, from the beginning to the end it was just so good, one of the best modern day slice of life drama from China. The story, character development, chemistry with both leads was incredible. I am a fan of Yang Yang so I was not looking for anything less and the fl did just an amazing job, I love that they play games with an amazing career. This was the first Aerospace Drama I have watched and I learned a lot. If anyone looking for inspiration for a lovely drama with an overall balance of Love, Lifestyle and Career driven, then this is the show to watch. I know there are some reviews might complain about simple things because they choose to see the negatives even though it weighs more on the positive side. Bravo to this incredible Cast & Crew.PS. I love the FL wardrobe especially the sweaters & love the coat she wore at the high school reunion :)
