Super cute and a mood lifter!

This drama is one of the best youth dramas I've watched. This youth drama focuses primarily on high school and then transitions to life beyond (college, jobs, etc.) towards the end. This drama is one of those cuter dramas that makes you feel good and isn't too serious.

One thing unique about this drama is the incorporation of diaries made by the FL in the opening sequence which is used as footage throughout the drama. Each episode also ends with a small quote before the ending OST sequence. I thought this made each episode more special and it was a cute feature.

The story is pretty normal, nothing out of the ordinary but I still very much enjoyed it, nevertheless. It however is still quite addicting, making you want to continue on to the next episode and see what happens (which I loved). The ML is an introvert and quite shy while the FL is a bubbly, talkative extrovert. I loved that they contrast each other in personality but were still very similar deep inside. My favorite part of the story was the friendships between the main characters, the main couple's relationship, and the realistic depiction of studying and grades.

The acting and casting were superb. Each actor/actress fit each role perfectly and acted amazingly. The chemistry between the characters was something I adored, especially between the FL and ML. I was rooting for them all the way. They made me giggle and laugh so many times (they are just so cute together). The cast really made me feel like I was watching the story of real people.

The music used in the drama were all songs that were already out before the drama, meaning they aren't original soundtracks but I still adored all the songs. The songs were perfectly chosen for this drama and I'm super glad to have discovered some new songs.

I would definitely go back from the start and rewatch the whole thing. This is definitely something that would lift your mood if you aren't in a good mood. Overall, this drama would definitely be one of the highlights of this summer for me and is the all-around perfect school and youth drama.

Lasting Memories

A way to describe the drama is imagining yourself on a cruise. You get to relax but also spend your time on fun activities the cruise has on board so that even if you're at sea, you won't be bored.

The story is like a cruise. It's an enjoyable drama to watch when you need a refresher and a destresser. It's not boring, there are elements added to the show that add excitement and butterflies, especially the interaction between the leads, you will be sitting there like me giggling and blushing.

A lot of you may think that school dramas are boring, like who would want to see students interact in school? However, this drama turns their daily interactions into youthful memories that transport the viewers into their life. I personally would love to experience their life, their friendship, and their connection with one another.

The group of 5 make up one another, each has their own stories, personalities, and interests. The drama doesn't just revolve around the main leads, the supporting characters add much more depth to the story. Even with the annoying characters, they aren't there for too long, 1-2 episodes max. Problems and misunderstandings are easily solved. Everything is healthy.

The casting is perfect. They're the perfect age to be acting in a school drama. I've seen Zhou Yiran (Zhang Lu Rang) in A Little Mood for Love, which he did a splendid job in. I'm looking forward to Zhang Miaoyi (Su Zaizai)'s drama with Jun (Exclusive Fairytale) and Guardians of the Dafeng. She has a lot of potential. I also noticed Bian Tianyang (Gu Ran) in Run for Time Season 3, so that's pretty cool too! I hope all the actors get to shine in their next drama.

Watching one 30-minute episode in the morning truly brightens my day. I don't think I'll be able to move on ;-;

I loved the inclusion of the female lead's camera. She's like me, I love recording and taking photos of moments with my friends. It truly creates a lasting memory that can be later looked back upon.

A MUST WATCH YOUTH CHINESE DRAMA

To begin with, I rarely indulge in watching youth cdramas due to my exceptionally high standards for this genre. Many Chinese dramas have failed to meet my expectations, causing me to drop them. Normally, I despise cringey and embarrassing female leads, but I must make an exception for Su Zaizai. Zhang Miaoyi portrayed her character remarkably well. This drama stands out as a heartwarming and lighthearted representation of youth. The depiction of friendship is truly exceptional, with minimal misunderstandings. It is a drama that will make you both laugh and occasionally shed a tear. The dialogue and quotes are skillfully crafted, and the cinematography is simply breathtaking. Director Cattree deserves praise for their outstanding work in bringing this series to life. The friendship portrayed here is undoubtedly one of the best in the realm of cdramas, as the characters mutually heal and support each other. All in all, this drama is an excellent production. I highly recommend giving it a try, as you won't be disappointed.

Adorable and bubbly story

The story is super sweet and addictive. I love how it shows the growth of both characters from the start of high school to after college. The story is extremely healing and healthy-- the characters don't do anything that make me question their sanity. Su ZaiZai gave me quite a bit of second hand embarrassment in the first few episodes, but they're also depicting a 16-year-old so it's understandable. They both show their love and affection to each other in their own ways. It's not the classic flowers and chocolate, but rather something like a scarf on a cold day. Both the leads have adorable dimples when they smile and it's so cute!

Realistically, most problems are not solved as quickly as this drama shows them to be ... but I love how they communicate when needed, and they're willing to accept things if things don't go the way they want it to. The characters experience growth, but they don't break character! Plus, the entire friend group has their time to shine, and they all have their struggles to overcome.

Overall, I will definitely be rewatching this show whenever I need a something to cheer me up! If you're looking to see an adorable and responsible relationship (they still care about their careers!)... WATCH THIS!!!

A Perfect Youth Drama

I could not believe my eyes as I saw all the perfect score of 10 for this drama. Fixed with intense curiosity, I jumped right in and went full steam ahead and I am not disappointed. A truly well written and directed youth drama which guarantees a complete feel good experience which I am certain is taking a lot of drama watchers by surprise.

I liked that the characters in this drama depicted growing up challenges in a most positive way. Through love of friends, family, persons you love and who loves you back, every big aspiration can be successful with little steps. The love story of Zhang Lu Rang and Su Zai Zai shows exactly just that. Their love is strong and they did things right, from the way they loved each other, putting studies first, choosing the right time to confess, eventually moving in together and so much more. I was also so touched by Lu Rang's younger brother Lu Li's admiration for his older brother, Guan Fang's commitment and love for his grandmother and the friendship between the five best friends, cannot get any better in my books.

Congratulations to the writer, director, cast and crew of this spectacular drama in 2023. A truly big hit and I look forward to more of actors Zhou Yi Ran, Shang Miao Yi, Bian Tian Yang, Jiang Zhi Nan and Guo Zhe. Young and really talented.

Truly one that lives up to its hype!!

Rewatched for the second time - and somehow the feelings I had when I watched for the first time intensified while rewatching that it felt like I was watching for the first time.

Exceptional drama with an amazingly built storyline for the squad of 5. From the very start to the end, not a single moment was wasted.

Zhang Lurang and Su Zaizai’s chemistry is so unmatched -truly a ‘she fell first but he fell harder’ moment. She was the light in his dim world.

Aside from the main couple, even the second couple had phenomenal chemistry with quite the realistic yearning. Their friendship was enemies to lovers but they both fell in love in the process through acts of service.

This drama portrays the different love languages through multiple characters and does so seamlessly.

Amazing scripts and phenomenal cinematography - it truly deserves to be one of the top 2023 chinese dramas.

One of the most beautiful ending I’ve seen and I couldn’t picture it any otherway, especially with how beautiful the script was for the last episode.

Appreciated some, annoyed in some.

Another yet highly rated Chinese series along with LIGHTER AND PRINCESS that I didn't enjoy much, if not for some depth, with regard to some relationship values, friendship and family wise.

I'll be honest here, I didn't like this much. Maybe I'm just too old for this genre or way too annoyed, with regard to some aspects of this series. Mainly because I'm not into girls chasing their boys. It annoyed me greatly that this young girl is obsessing about a crush, trying hard to be so cute, doing all the initiatives to get his attention, so forth so on. I'm so not into this.

Don't get me wrong here. This maybe an unpopular review, and a great series for most, and I respect that. Yet this is how I see this. It annoyed and bored me to no end in most chapters and scenes. I'm a reader and I hate my heroines obsessing over a hero in my books, doing all the chasing. Most frustrating to read or watch, is if the hero is an arse or in this case, a quiet non smiling boy most of the time, who's just wanting to be left alone, yet here's this annoying girl who does everything to garner his attention, following him like his dog, despite the clear message, he isn't interested to be bothered.

I understand the message yes. This is a youthful coming of age drama about friendship, family dynamics and mostly about a bubbly cheerful girl, eventually helping a quiet boy to trust her, come out of his shell and believe more in himself. In doing so, she greatly annoyed me.

There are things I appreciated about this series though, that's why I'm not fully relegating it as a waste of my time.
I appreciated the friendship dynamics. That the story isn't mainly focused on one or two characters. They each have their own stories to tell. I find it adorable mostly, the heartwarming relationship between the grandma and the other boy. This made me miss my own granny.

The support system between the friends and the deep messages and values this series tried to convey, are good, especially when it comes to self belief, trust, redemption, and mostly certain facets inside a family unit. That family is the most important foundation and this is where you lay down the most important aspects, to be able to raise good, self respecting successful youths not only career wise, but as they face life's challenges.

When it comes to romance though, I'm still old school I guess. It's okay to like someone yes, or go for what or who you want. Up to a certain extent. There are a lot of ways to like a boy or a man, and for him to appreciate you back . One thing is like and respect yourself first, for a man to like and respect you back. For a drama, this might be deemed as cute and heartwarming, but in reality, boys or men may get flattered with girls' attention, but you're just paving a way for some heartaches.

I understand this is a youthful drama, about first loves, being innocent and naive and all that, still I didn't appreciate some aspects of it. It's a good thing this series didn't just try to focus on the main couple's story or else I would have dropped it.

Overall a heartwarming series. One Chinese series though, HIDDEN LOVE is similar to this, but more to my liking.

This drama does the best 'Sunshine & Grumpy' trope☁️✨

So, I just binge-watched the show and let me tell you, RangRang and Zai Zai have got to be the cutest couple ever! They're like the epitome of a perfect relationship. I absolutely adore how deeply they love each other and how they're not afraid to show it, both in words and actions. And their communication skills? On point! They never let any silly misunderstandings come between them and tear them apart?

Oh, and can we talk about the "Sunshine & Grumpy" dynamic? It's done so well here! RangRang might be an introvert and not a big talker, but boy, does he make it clear right from the start that he's head over heels in love with Zai Zai. Actions speak louder than words, right?

If I am being too critical then the only thing that left me a bit disappointed was that they didn't show Zai Zai's pregnancy or their adorable child, 'You.' I would've loved to see more of their interactions as a family of three☁️

All in all, this show is an absolute gem. The chemistry between RangRang and Zai Zai is off the charts, and their love story is just heartwarming. I couldn't recommend it enough!

Now all I want is for Zhou Yi Ran & Zhang Miao Yi to be in a drama again❤️✨

The right person will find you at the right time.

Starting off from school setting and transitioning into adult life, this drama has made sure to keep our hearts warm with nostalgia. Somewhere during our school years, most of us yearned for a love story like Rang rang and Su Zai Zai. So this drama feels like an escape from reality for us where the things we wished for is seen in this drama. Why you should watch this drama:
1. All the friends are green flags.
2. The friendship between the cast is adorable and feels like they found home in each other.
3. The chemsitry between leads is so good.
4. Introvert ML and extrovert FL trope is so well done. In most dramas, the ML is often shown as cold or arrogant instead of actually representing an introvert person. But in this drama, you can actually see how the ML is an intorvert who opened up after the FL pursued him and made him feel comfortable. So I really liked how well made his character was.
5. This might be the first cdrama where the 2nd leads love story isn't random or just for the sake of plot. It was actually really interesting and adorable to see them together. I was rooting for them since the first few episodes.
6. There is healthy relationship between the leads where they communicate properly instead of giving cold shoulder to each other. They always understnd each other and support each other unconditionally.
7. This is a really light and fluffy drama where there are no heavy scenes. Just pure love and happiness.
8. The nostalgic feeling of school life is so strong.

To anyone hesitating to watch this drama, please don't hesitate and go for it. This is the type of drama that you need in a stressful life. The type of drama that makes you feel good about life and an escape from reality. So just dive into this drama and enjoy the journey of two people who are the representation of right person at the right time.

He needed her, and she needed him. ?

As someone who doesn't really like school drama's, I prefer mature romance. Though I have seen a few, they're not my go too. I was very reluctant to watch this, but i figured after watching Hidden Love, (which I wanted to watch since i knew the manhua would become a tv series). I figured its the best time to watch this school drama... so i hope my review helps those who may not be so interested in school shows. When I first started this, after the 2nd episode i wasnt sure if i should drop this, not because it wasn't going well thus far, its precisely because of not watching much drama in this genre, but because i already decided to watch it, i didn't read much comments and i didnt read any reviews, i went in blindly solely because i had planned to watch it, and the ratings was pretty high for a school drama... so i wanted to give it a chance ? and well!!!!!!!!....................

This was simply amazing!!!... Everytime i think something cliché was gonna happen, instead it just exceeded my expectations. It's the first I thought a show deserves 11/10 ?.

I've watched hundreds of shows and just a tiny few make me feel content after watching, but this show... i feel soooo happy, content and satisfied after watching this ?☺️ ......................... yet, somehow I just wanna rewatch it right away haha ? ?

I give 9 for music, because since it started from 2012 through the music i can feel so much nostalgia, it wasn't something amazingly great, but all the songs fit the show very well.

What I loved about this show was that It was great having a FL be enthusiastic and foward without coming off as annoying, or (dumb, the acting felt so natural from the FL, i thought she was adorable ?. It was also really great having a ML who was aloof without being a mean jerk ?. Even the side chracters are so likeable and you enjoy there stories too.

I enjoyed the progress of the love story, from acquaintance, to classmates, then lovers. The timing for everything was well put together, even if it may not feel that way after you're hakfway through, just know it comes together so well and nothing, absolutely nothing was rushed. It was also really great seeing the interactions with the main couple from school until the end, they just fit so well together. The frienship was soooo amazingly beautiful, like it made me feel sooo nostalgic, i felt like i wanted to go back to school to make friends like that ?

But most of all, I really enjoyed seeing how the FL with a beautiful personality and genuine care and love became a bulldozer and broke down the ML walls. I also loved how the ML made the FL wanna always try her best and be herself. He needed her and she needed him!. Whether in academic or in love.... they were truly what i call soul mates!!!!

Smooth, perfect, easy going drama!

This will be my most favourite CDrama of all times I think for now. Personally don’t really like CDramas a lot cause you know there are so many cliches that go into them like childhood friends, accidental kisses etc. and then the thing that would annoy me was the second leads acting, (honestly just my opinion) it would be so over that at a point I would prefer stopping that drama. BUT came this drama!!!!!! I don’t know why honestly but I really loved this drama!! The second leads are also so faaarrr better. Although I know few might feel a little bit unrealistic but me preferably watch dramas to escape reality, so for me it was a 10/10 drama. Also what made it more watchable was that the ML was not a rich guy, not a guy with good grades, not a guy with perfect personality like they usually show it. It was really nice to see how he was also imperfect and how she was also imperfect! My favourite part was how the character of ML develops in such a soft way!!! I really liked how he was all so sweet and girly in front of her after they started dating! The small things he did for her, the way she always showed how she liked him but never really admitted it. And not to miss his proposal!!!! Both the times, when they started dating and he proposed to get married was the sweetest!! It started with the vlogs and ended with one it…you know when they started dating i was thinking how this relationship will move forward. Cause we knew how introverted the guy was, but ig it was from the starting that she had made him so comfortable with her that it was soooooo good to see him in the relationship!!!
Honestly after watching this drama I don’t wanna be single anymore?.
