I love vigilante show
I like this show. Initially, I don’t want to write the review but i read some of the reviews here and I’m gonna defend this show. Well the story is about evil vs evil, so you don’t need to expect the main character to be pure hearted like super hero, even the female lead is also savage. This is what i like about this show. No bullshit. Some people said they are out of character or they are too much in punishing the criminals, I don’t think so. For criminals who bribed the whole government to do evil deeds, they cannot punish them in the normal ways coz justice doesn’t work for them, in fact the whole justice system has been serving their evil deed. While the show is not perfect, it doesn’t deserve a 5 or a 6. The show is really funny, i enjoyed watching it, it’s rare for me to enjoy kdrama show right now, as i am bored with the same formula and tbh i am in my kdrama block right now. So this show is quite surprising that it’s still fresh and funny for a total of 20 episodes. Definitely a keeper!

Not you ordinary mafia show
Sick of reading people’s comments about it is too comical to be a mafia show. that is what’s interesting about it, its not your average mafia show. I read a comment saying that you dont get emotional attachment to vincenzo and you cant tell what is in his mind, that is the whole point! Vincenzo’s character lack emotions and more rationally unemotional, everything is calculated and it gets interesting when he is caught off guard because you tjink did he know its gonna happen or did he expect that to happen kinda as because he doesnt show you much emotion, til... episode 16, thats what it wants you to feel, in the beginning of the series that there are hints that he wants out of the mafia life and always believes that you pay for your sins, he treats his enemies accordingly. People need to understand that the mafia is not just about brutal murders and killings, they have a code they have to follow, only when it is broken that shit happens hence what you see on media’s portrayal of mafia. Now after episode 16 i cant wait how this progresses. Vincenzo’s group has very good chemistry and kinda makes you feel like a little family, it is like he unconsciously made a korean mafia in the plaza! The villains are perfect, the acting is superb, their facial expressions says a lot, i really commend song joong ki how his eyes, little facial movements tries to say a lot and not at the same time as he is meant to portray a unemotional character.Cet avis était-il utile?
Only a Devil can kill a Monster
A cool Mafia consigliere and a chaotic lawyer team up to take down a huge business cartel run by a vicious and psychotic monster. In the process several secrets are revealed, masks fall off and the true self of many are shown, friends turn into foes and foes into friends. The cast was great and did justice to their characters be it the leads or the bad folks. You really do end up hating their guts till the end. The chemistry between the leads was too good, they didn't need much romantic scenes to show on how much they suited each other.
The story was catchy and engaging with good humor, though there were instances where it felt dragged and unnecessary stuff added to it overall it didn't bore me.
I really liked the soundtrack of the show especially "Adrenaline" and "Always by your side".

Shocking!

Vincenzo took much longer to finish than I anticipated. Despite its good overall quality, there could have been three fewer episodes in the series. I find that unfortunate, because I usually prefer series with more episodes if I'm really into them. It's a mixture of action and crime drama. Comic relief is a nice touch in many characters and scenes. It is the middle part of the story that bothers me about Vincenzo. The story gets to the heart, but it drags a bit. Through and through, Vincenzo Cassano (Song Joong-ki) is a smooth dude. There are times, however, when the plot armor hurts the theme. I like heros or anti-heroes who are a bit more vulnerable and who overcome their weaknesses. Because the final acts make up for portions of the midrange episodes, the series has been upgraded to 8 stars. Overall, it's a good look.

A legend returns from Uruk in this thrilling tale of corporate greed and the entire justice system in Korea being corrupt or something. The story is a bit quirky. having serious scenes where someone is gruesomely murdered and then the next scene Vincenzo walking into a chair. Or characters doing things very out of character for some slapstick humour. The acting itself is good. Its just over the top to fit in with the humour they were going for.
The music was fairly nice and built tension in scenes well. The ost for the villain was pretty noticeable.
Rewatching the show for me may be abit tilting since theres many moments where Vincenzo is an omnipotent god and can handle like 20 armed men. But then for some reason, he cant handle one guy with a gun when it matters the most. His ability is put up to such a high standard throughout the show and we see him do some insane shit. But when the plot requires it, he kinda just afks, allowing the antagonists to just kill people. Its pretty inconsistent. Some of the characters are also very annoying, like nearly the entire plaza cast is insufferable, especially at the beginning. They get better but would be annoying to have to watch them again.
Overall its a fairly nice show, good production value, entertaining and fun to watch. It does suffer from being a bit dragged out though. Bonus points for including
"He was my everything"

Best Kdrama I have seen!
This is hands down the best kdrama I have seen!It has an amazing story, amazing acting, and the chemistry between the two leads is off the charts!
I rarely had a bored moment in all of the episodes, and the last 5 episodes are spectacular.
I do not know how to even describe how good this drama is. Mind you, I am fairly new to Kdramas and have not watched as many as some more experienced viewers but I still believe this one will remain number 1 for me for eternity. I am hoping upon hoping that there is a season 2! I check regularly to see if there are any updates on a chance of season 2 lol.

Is it worth the hype? Corn salad says yes!
Most definitely, and I agree with the corn salad. I was afraid that the hype I saw on my social media pages would leave me disappointed, and I'm so glad to be wrong. This drama introduced me to JYB as an actress, highlighting her expressive character and streamlining it with the more collective Vincenzo. SJK did an amazing job at portraying his character, handling all the issues that came his way with a flare of dramatic expressions and his signature smirk and occasional Italian lines (I don't speak Italian, but damn they were so cool!) Taecyeon and Kim YJ did amazing with their characters. While Kim YJ/ Choi Myung Hee did a better job as passing off as villainous, Han Seok felt like a comedic ragey villain who throws a tantrum every time he fails. (though the ending episodes, he definitely felt more villainous).
That leads me to my only quip with this show. A majority of the episodes ended with a stupidly frustrating cliffhanger, only to be extinguished within ten minutes the next weekend. In a way, the show's unpredictable nature became predictable. Issues were dealt with rapid pace, and it felt largely anticlimatic. For example...you'd never expect to see a flock of pigeons as a form of deux ex machina, but figures.
Regardless of the anticlimatic cliffhangers, our leads partnering up together was an enjoyable watch. Seeing them scheming together to bring down Babel was extremely pleasurable to watch, it's so hard to not root for them and the Geumga plaza squad working together to keep their building and each other intact.
Now the OSTs are a bit less memorable when compared to other dramas, but they're still very good regardless at boosting the feels during specific scenes (my two faves are Adrenaline by Solar and I'm Always By Your Side by John Park).
Go watch Vincenzo now!! While you're at it, try and sneak some gold from the vault, will you?

A good watch but not for everyone
There is a particular genre in Asian webnovels that I don't really see elsewhere - the "revenge fantasy", and key to this genre is that even if the stakes keep climbing and the risks turn life-threatening, the protagonist will always win. I think that's what you've got to keep in mind before you dive in, because it ticks every archetype in the genre box - an overpowered protagonist, a number of irrationally brutal villains, a supporting cast of smitten fans, exaggerated stakes and hyperbolic resolutions. If that's not the genre you were hoping for, or you're looking for the classic gangster/thriller genre, then this isn't for you. It's also a peculiar mix of (more classic) genres - personally I found the comedy hilarious, the business manipulations interesting, and the violence fun, but audiences who enjoy cutesy domestic comedy and dark violent thrillers don't overlap by much. That said, I personally found the comedy gave much needed relief to what is at its heart a grim tragedy about the corruption and collusion of the justice systems, which forces the main characters to take increasingly illegal means to protect or get back what's important to them. There's a lot of good themes wrapped up in the Geumga Plaza residents' journeys - from simply accepting that they're disenfranchised and helpless, to making full use of their own abilities to protect their own rights. For the main character himself, though, as satisfying as it was to see him give the villains their comeuppance, it was a bittersweet journey that gave him a short reprieve before forcing him return to his old trade.
Maybe because my expectations going into this drama was low - I honestly just expected pointless fanservice, which there was a lot of - but I was surprised that I could actually see a consistent theme and message in the story. Can justice exist when every branch of the justice system is corrupt? And this show is the perfect fantasy for everyone who has ever wished, in those situations, someone could just sweep in and take out the trash.
PS: Also has one of the best OSTs I've heard. Not many songs, but a great variety of instrumental pieces.
