the major flaw was the english girl. her speaking mandarin was better than her actual acting. the scenes with her and her dad frustrated me alot coz the english was bad. how is she english and has bad sentence structures. her actions also were lacking which gave low ratings to the score.
best part is all the kissing scenes. zhi shu is really a good kisser but ariel tried though she had closed mouth sometimes. he is tall too and cold and somehow that attracts us to him coz when we see alil bit of emotion or when he kisses her we forget his actions.

Story: We know the story & we love it. There some of the changes were the best for the story(some of them were not in the manga or other adaptions).
Acting: Still great as usual. We got to see Shi Zhu's emotions more in this sequal to It Started with a Kiss. Shi Zhu made me cry a lot & so does Xiang Qin(you'll find out why when you watch it). The chemistry is still amazing. The family chemistry went up a notch.
Music: Not very memorable. The song I like the most is "Heard", but I don't know who sings it. It makes the sad scenes sadder!
Rewatch Value: I would not watch the draggy arc. But I would rewatch everything else.
Watch it if you loved It Started with a Kiss. Or if you have seen the other versions but not this sequal, then watch it.

The romance is much more steamier in this one compared to the first, (and there are a lot more kisses, yay!) but the main reason why I loved this second series compared to the first one is how much Zhu Shu grew. It was in this season (but especially that last episode) where he finally showed the audience how much he really loved Xiang Qing, without any internal monologue I might add! We see a softer side to his character, we see him scared, anxious, and unsure of himself. It is through our female lead, that he becomes a real person with real emotions. If you’ve watched the first season but want to watch the second season and you’re debating on it - GO WATCH IT. NOW.
If you haven’t seen the first season yet... what are you doing? GO WATCH IT. NOW.

A MUST WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have watched the Korean, Japanese and Thai adaptations of this drama and I must say, this was by far the BEST. In the other adaptations, the male lead had little to no character development. He treated the female lead with the same indifference as before they were married, however, with this adaptation, we see exactly when and how the male lead fell in love with the female lead. We see where he was, for lack of a better word, grateful for her love. In the other adaptations, there was no point in time where the male lead didn't feel entitled to the female lead's love. However, with this version, we can see where the male lead's character slowly changed. He smiled more, they laughed together, he paid a lot of attention to the female lead and there was a lot of skin-ship. I don't mean kisses or sex scenes, but occasions where they hugged, cuddled or spooned in bed. The male lead laughed with his wife, and although very few, he told her how he felt about her and that he loved her. Even when the family is together, there are moments where they laugh and make fun of each other- just like any other family. In the other adaptations, this wasn't the case. I'm not known to be emotional and I cried at more than one points in this drama. The male lead showed his vulnerability when he thought of loosing the female lead. In this adaptation, the amount of love or interest that was given by the male and female leads to their relationship wasn't so unequal. Sure, the female lead put in more, but we cane see where the male lead is putting in some effort. Yes, the female lead was practically obsessed with the male lead, but there was practically no point where I felt frustrated with the male lead's attitude towards the female lead. I think for most persons who have watched the other adaptations, we all wished there was a time when the female lead left the male lead and he had to beg for her attention... well... we actually get a little of that. This drama has joined my list of favourite Asian dramas. I will definitely be watching this again in the future.

Really infectious acting
This was actually my first drama I watched from Taiwan because I happened to come across it when it was showing in my cable TV. And it was the best choice in my life because I was introduced to the best acting prowess of Ariel Lin. She literally breathe in her character as Xiang Qin. Never failed to make me laugh to her dumbness and cry to her sadness. Story wise because I didn't watch ISWAK first, I don't have any context to how Xiang Qin came to marry Zhi Shu but the drama is still light enough to understand the plot without watching the plot. But you can definitely appreciate the growth in each characters if you have watched the first. Especially for Zhi Shu, who was a meanie but as he steps into marriage, he became a big shy softie which is really amazing to watch.I know the plot is nothing innovative but you should try to watch because I can never say enough how good Ariel Lin's acting was. But probably, the downside is this drama kind of tapers to the lull side at the last few episodes. Episode 11 is probably the climax and highlight to the show. I also don't like how they have to change the younger characters because they have grown. Makes it harder to relate to them.

Drama with a heart
I don’t understand why it’s rated so low? Having watched hundreds of dramas, it’s rare to come across one with genuine depth. Great on-screen chemistry between the ML and FL. I heard they dated in real life? Plot flowed seamlessly from the first season. There was a gradual and thoughtful plot and character development. Acting is spot on, especially the silly FL. However, drawback was the upsetting racist comments from Christine’s dad, so I skipped most of it. Regardless, it’s easily on my top 10. Absolute must-watch.Cet avis était-il utile?
A good watch
Their acting is so good. Each of the character has its own story. The ML is not a 100% jerk as the ML in playful kiss. In this drama, ML lead has a lot to talk compared to the Korean series. He expresses his thoughts to the FL at one point of the drama. The FL is kinda annoying sometimes but I guess I can pass this considering that's what her character is all about. Her MIL is the best. There are not many MILs like her out there but I hope all MILs can be like her in the future. She is really sporting and supportive even her son was denying his feelings for her. However, she knew that deep down innside he really likes the FL.Cet avis était-il utile?
My favorite!
I love this drama, and yes, I am giving it 10/10 all across the board. I have seen every adaptation of this series, the anime, manga, taiwanese, korean and Japanese versions. I will continue to love it, and have seen it over 50 times. The story follows the manga pretty closely, the music is wonderful and catchy, and the actors are wonderful and have great chemistry. The Taiwanese and Japanese versions are 100x better then the Korean version, I would suggest skipping it as it doesn't cover even half of the story.
Definitely one of the best series I've ever seen, and I'm a huge romcom fan!

I have recently watched `It Started with a Kiss` for the first time. While it's been a bit of a lukewarm experience, I had nothing better to watch and so decided to give the sequel a go.If I only look at the journey and not the destination** than the sequel is tremendously better. It's still a bit repetitive, but ML had real character progression over the course of the 20 episodes & the various plots were more interesting & better written. The leads also warmed up to each other much more, reaching near perfect chemistry. Though `They Kiss Again` is far more of a slice of life/romance drama than comedy, the comedy is still omnipresent though & is rather okay. This one also has a love triangle, but It's rather short lived, it's not nearly as egregious as before. Overall the romance in this one is strong & very enjoyable, with increasing depth as we reach the final episodes. It's good stuff.
**The biggest gripe I have with this drama is the ending, it basically does not have one, not counting a 2 minute long something something inserted into the ending credits. Episode 20 is like any other episode, it's a good one with lots of emotion etc, but it really feels like the team planned for season3..
Endings are really important to me, so this contributed a lot to why this drama did not break the 8.0 barrier in my overall score.
Also I really disliked Christine. Her character is not only really poorly written, but also the whole alien in Taiwan thing is really unnaturally presented. Foreigners are often incredibly annoying supporting characters in Asian dramas in general, but good gawd. (and when I thought it could not get any worse, then her father made an appearance .. )
Overall I enjoyed this, It's really decent for 2007.

The series is the best so far
I am not use to write a review on movies and series but sometimes, time will come and here I am.I never expected to like this series. After watching the Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo, I watch most of the remakes.. From all of them, this series is the best for my opinion. The characters act very good and especially the ML. He really done a great job in portraying the character. From all the series I watched, he is the best. He is really the best actor for the job.
The story, well... it is good. it tells the story of their life after marriage and how they manage to love one another in their own way. I also love the fact that, the ML leave evolved and learned the true meaning for true love and showing his love. He may not be the best in showing it and somehow, it tells the viewers that even with that kind of attitude he could love someone.
Even you don't watch the Season 1 of this series like I do, i really appreciate and loved this series. I'm planning to watch this again after finishing other remakes.. Love to compare them but so far, this is the best for me.
The ML is handsome and simple. The FL is beautiful.
