Don't Blink
I started this series only a few months after its completion and honestly, it took me longer than I care to admit to finish it. I love psycho thrillers but holy poop this was stressful. This is definitely a series you can't blink through or you'll miss something! Everything somehow, kinda, not really, sometimes ties into itself leaving you hot glued to the question "WTF IS HAPPENING?!" Imagine a roller coaster and every loop, turn and hill is a different plot... that roller coaster is "Mouse". It's a great series that I'd recommend to any serial killer buff but its flaw for me was it was either super intense or super boring which made it take so long to finish. I kept having to take breaks. Anyway, I loved the acting and the music fit perfectly. Kinda sad it's over and I didn't get the ending I wanted (idk what I wanted honestly) but it was probably the most realistic ending for such a theme. As a mother, a couple of parts hit me in the feels but I enjoyed the emotions.
Enjoy...

Profound.
Mouse is not a scare flik. It's a stunning philosophical commentary on human nature, morality, and redemption. Many crime thrillers attempt to merely thrill. While Mouse by no means lacks suspense and thrill (and the occasional gore), several underlying themes are seeded in the beginning, penetrate the overall story, and fully blossom at the very end. This includes the fact that all human acts are inherently moral because they are human. Every man has the potency for good, but when he lacks good, he does evil. Further, because man is a rational being, he is also culpable for his acts.
The most beautiful theme of the show, however, manifests itself at the end when the story line comes full circle. It expresses that God hears our prayers even when we hear silence. Sometimes He just answers them in ways we would never expect.
If you're a plot twist kind of person, search no longer, but make sure your seatbelt is fastened. You will journey with the characters and witness their complexity unveil bit by bit. You will shed tears at the end, but those tears will be of sympathy, understanding, and fulfillment. And you will hopefully take away the greater message - a lesson on good and evil, on the fallen nature of man, but most importantly, on reconciliation and man's ability to be redeemed.

Worth both the hype and the headache and is pleasently confusing
I loveeeed the first 6 episodes, their pace, their twists the feeling of not knowing, the messing with my mind... they were truly pleasantly confusing then it just got very, very strange to get really good 8 episodes later and continued to be great with everything I like in this type of drama, exept for enogh romance but they never claimed to have any so I am not allowed to complain, just stating what was missing that is all. This is a really cool, exhausting to watch drama, that I truly believe is worth both the hype and the headache But is one of those dramas you should take breaks from to both appreciate and cleans your mind from all the twists, mind games and horrifying scenes.
Some thoughts I had while watching where:
It feels like they are seriously trying to mess with my brain
I am pleasantly confused and I like it!
I'm watching episode 18 and the most illogical thing in this whole messed up twisted drama is how the h*** Moo Chi has not been fired I honestly can almost buy the insane twists but the job security for a cop in South Korea amazes me... but then again some cops in the US (and their countries) kill people and keep their jobs so maybe it's not as remarkable as I think it is...
So all in all this is a ride, a twisted, illogical mind messing ride with allot of guessing (mostly wrong), conspiracies and fun to

this drama. blew. my. mind.
I started watching this drama with expectations. I saw many people suffering headaches throughout the episodes, and it turns out I experienced the headaches too!😂Mouse is not your usual crime/thriller/action drama. It gives you goosebumps, confusion, and like I said: headaches!!
If you are intrigued to watch this drama, please know that this drama is dark, confusing, scary, cruel, and triggering. And if you are not a fan of a crime drama but just wanted to have a little twist to your genre, this might not be the perfect drama as it is a very heavy drama.
I am a big fan of a true crime movies and drama, and to put it simply: read my headline. This blew my mind. Every story, every step the characters make, every word, every thought, it has meaning at the end and whatever you expected: it will exceed it. Some characters might not seem important to you or some might be very important to you, but it won't turn out that way, and I for one experienced that myself.
While watching this drama, my only problem was the length of each episode, which is around 63-100 minutes and that some scenes were not necessary. But it doesn't change my view towards this drama, as it has perfect plot twist, and perfect acting shown by Lee Seung Gi and Lee Hee Jun.
This drama gives the perfect amount of emotions: sad, happy, awed, exciting, anger, and confusion. I'd easily give this drama a 9.5, mostly for the plot and the acting. One of the best crime/thriller k-drama for sure.

BEST THRILLER KDRAMA
Ending the “Predictable” AllegationsLike most I went into the show thinking that Ba Reum was the physcopath as the poster of the show made it obvious. Right from the start I was suspicious of him. That slowly changed throughout the show, making me think i was wrong and the real physcopath was yo han but was still suspicious cause of the poster so i knew there was a plot twist coming. My views COMPLETELY changed right after the surgery happen, i was certain yo han was the physcopath and that’s what made ba reum change.
OVERVIEW
I love the plot twists after every episode, the thriller aspect and how EVERY detail and backstory anre all connected. 10/10 Show, Well done and Pasted nicely. I kinda felt bad for bareum by the end how he got all his emotions back but i especially felt bad for yo han and his wrongful death :(

A very unique kdrama
I would like to start off the review by saying that this is one of the most unique mystery/thriller kdramas I've ever watched. The entire concept was very unique. This drama is definitely not for everyone because the plot is very complex and they purposefully leave you confused until the last few episodes; However, it's very fun to try to breakdown the plot with theories as a viewer and it's extremely satisfying when you start getting answers to your questions. I feel like the people who dropped this drama did so because they probably got confused by the complex storyline but they failed to realize that that's the whole point of the plot being so complex. This drama is a must watch because the plot is sooooo unpredictable and every episode ends with a bang, which I LOVEDDD. I have to say that this drama had one of the most satisfying endings I've ever seen in a kdrama because every character got the end that they deserved and the entire drama was an emotional ride. The message shown through this drama is so strong and well done. The acting was amazing as well.

Eerily Brilliant - A top drama of 2021
The opening starts with an intensity that I’d argue most dramas don’t have. Many dramas lead you in with a slow and sluggish start or start off fast and decline, however this is one of a kind. It had me gripping my seat every week as the story unfolded. What’s the most intriguing about this drama is the concept that psychopaths can be determined before they are born. This plays an important factor within the show, as the first episode gives you a detailed history of psychopathy, expectations, and experiences of the characters in the drama.
What I love about this is that it keeps you guessing at every turn, analyzing each characters perspectives as well as their actions. So detail oriented that you can’t miss anything otherwise you miss a clue. What makes this show so eerie is the facial expressions, and the impending suspense that you get from them.
I have only completed four episodes out of twenty, however I have rewatched every one of them at least three times tying to find Easter eggs or come up with an explanation as to why the camera does a close up on someone’s eyes in a specific scene. It’s all linked together throughout the show, you won’t get enough of it. But I would highly recommend that one should watch it after more episodes release because it will drive you crazy!!
I believe this drama is so ahead of it’s time in a way, the complexity of each character is well developed and you can see why they’re the way that they are because of the descriptive personal history.

i really enjoy it!!
honestly, from the start I had the feeling that bareum is a psychopath but in the middle of the drama i kinda doubt it because there were a lot of scenes that showed yohan is thr psychopath. the acting of all the cast especially lee heejoon and lee seunggi was very good, they managed to convey the emotions of their characters very well. the plot execution until the end was quite neat and clear, even though at the end there was no story about what happened to mrs. choi but it's enough, no need for season 2 in my opinion.Cet avis était-il utile?

DRAINED AF ?
How to even begin...I mainly watched this drama without any sort of expectations or background about the story. Never read the synopsis and never seen the teasers, only for the single fact that Lee Seunggi is one of the casts. However, on my first episode, right of the bat, the captions in front had said “Counseling has been provided for the child actors” and damn that scared me. For my entire kdrama journey (I watch all kinds of genre too), it was my first time to see such a note and I was beyond intrigued. So I watched the first episode and I was scared the whole time. It was a first time experience of being scared not because of ghost characters but because of killers (I never get scared cuz it’s a character) but the way the killer has been portrayed on the first ep was damn scary for me for some reasons.
I watch All the Butlers (Seunggi’s variety show) and it has been said there in passing that he is the culprit so I had an inkling. But what surprised me was he wasn’t acting like a culprit at all and my brain was torn between two possibilities and a hope that “oh maybe he’s not the culprit”. Tbh I thought about this until the 18th episode, like is there going to be a big reveal that it’s all been staged and they messed with his head to make him remember things he never actually did. I guess the biggest struggle for me here was not figuring out who’s the culprit because from the very beginning Seunggi was a very plausible candidate, the struggle was the “hope” that “it can’t be this easy, he’s not the culprit is he? No how? He’s build too much rapport with the other characters” but as episodes went by, that hope dwindled little by little. Call me crazy but I think that’s what the writers are actually going for.
Next, this series showed how sick society is. Ba Reum’s psychopathic behavior was brought upon by society and irresponsible adults not through birth no matter how the story wants us to believe with all the DNA and stuff. Which comes to my next argument, imo it’s not Yohan that influenced his emotions but because he lost the violent memories and only remembered the good ones (which was highly influenced by the people around him only telling him the good things). Think about it, if he had been fed bu good things since childhood, he wouldn’t have thought that the whole world was against him. If only his mother was the like Choi PD. The influence of the society plus the push of OZ in that direction happens in real life you know; some into violence and some into taking their own lives. How sad is that. What I hate about the society in this drama is that they all were playing “god”, which was shown at the end when they voted pro to aborting babies with psychopath genes. And they don’t consider themselves serial killers that way? That’s like mass serial killing isn’t it? Messed up.
I’d be biased and talk about Lee Seunggi’s acting only in this review: HE BLEW MY MIND AWAY. I like him a lot really and I know how kind he is but his villainous self in this drama scared the shit out of me. He was that good; like how can you adore and loathe and pity him all at the same time? His character in itself was a roller coaster ride and he pulled it off so well. I don’t think anyone can do better. They did well casting him for this role and kudos to him for taking this role. Hat’s off.
Despite this being an exquisite LSG performance, I give the rewatch value a very low score. Only for the reason that it’s mentally and emotionally excruciating to watch. It came to a point where I had to pause the video a couple or times just to watch something brighter and lighter in the feeling before continuing. Still, I do recommend giving this a shot, just be sure that you are mentally prepared.
Now...lemme just go back to 2019 and watch Little Forest Lee Seunggi cuz I needa wash my eyes from dark Seunggi hahahahaha...watch it guys MOST ADORABLE VARIETY SHOW ♥️
