Warm and Sweet (2023)

A mature and tear jerking romance and friendship drama with excellent acting from two FLs.

"Warm and Sweet" is a female-centric melodrama about mature love relationships and friendships between Nan Fei, Qi Jia Yi, and their lovers.

I have watched many of Victoria Song's dramas, and I think her acting in this one is the best I have seen. The complicated and overbearing relationship that she has with her mom, played by Yang Qing, is very intense and interesting.

I like that the women in this drama are independent and successful in their careers. However, society is harsh on them because they are in their 30s and unmarried. I can relate because I was single for a long time in my early 30s before I met my husband. It is okay in the Western world, where it is not scrutinized as much as in Asian culture.

Dealing with overbearing parents adds more complications to their adult lives. The acting is good for the entire ensemble, and the script is good as well.

I give it a 7.5 rating, and I enjoy this type of genre which deals with human emotions with real-life problems.
