Taiyo to Umi no Kyoshitsu (2008)

Both about a weird teacher coming to a school to teach with a different style than all the other norm teachers. HAMMER SESSION is about getting the students to an elite school while Taiyo to Umi no Kyoshitsu is about keeping your good mark to get to your 1st choice school. In both dramas, the students learn to trust the teachers and learn a lot of moral lessons along the way.

The same genre just just without music, classmates, friends who are graduating, dreams about future...

I thought about Secret Garden and the summary of the show I thought of Taiyo to Umi no Kyoshitsu. It focus on student who school focus on academic but it also had a teacher who wanted the students to find their dream, who they really want to do in life despite of the trial and tribulation they must go through.

both have weird teacher that somehow transform the dynamic of the class and the students. Taiyou to Umi is more realistic than Gachi Baka!

Both series are about teachers that come to make order in a school. Both are about helping troublesome children. Both are comedies.

A class full of children "without a future" and the teacher who believes in them and will change them. Comedy is a great factor.
