I just want to say poor that horse had been dragged into it. This was my both ML and FL's second drama. For FL, I wld say kind of since it was a special case. I didn't expect that it wld be ML bcs from the drama poster I thought it wld be someone else. There was no way they were convinced that she was a boy/man in with that look. It was for the sake of the drama. Another familiar face, Leyan. Hmm.. Where did i hear the name Li Shimin before?? It seems her uncle, Li Shimin knew she joined the game.

We meet Princess Li Chang Ge, free spirit tom boy love by mother Lady Jin and favored by Uncle Li Shimin. Taught martial arts and military strategist at a young age by Uncle Li Shimin, she's fearless, direct and upholds honor and integrity. She runs into Tegin Ashile Sun who is undercover and head of network spy in Tang causing havoc to infiltrate Tang's weakness

I have the same problem with the majority of the dramas I watch. No matter how good they end up being, most of the times the series don't captivate me from the first episode.
However, the Long Ballad's first episode is one of the best first episodes I have watched. Great production to the characters, good acting, intriguing plot and truly a phenomenal game of Cuju!

The first episode was a great introduction to the characters. I am probably going to binge watch this drama. My husband ( who isn’t a great fan for Asian historical dramas is sticking around for episode 2. Why did I wait so long to start watching..

I have been looking for a good c-drama to watch and after finishing Word of Honor, I decided to try this. So many people said it was good so I decided to give it a shot. The first episode was GOOD. Hopefully, it will continue to be better because I been dropping a lot of dramas lately and I just don't want to go through that again...

What an amazing pilot episode, it's obvious from the very first episode that its fast paced and very engaging. Also that the cuju game! Incredible directing, have already fallen in love with these two main leads

The visuals, the sound, and from the get go, it is oozing potential that this is going to be good. That kung fu soccer match is crazy good!!

Excellent first episode to introduce us to the story. Cuju's scene is artistically and visually a total success that shows the attention to detail and the effort of the entire team and gives us hope for beautiful scenes in the future. From the start, we get an idea of the characters and see the future stakes of the drama. Well done!

What a start! Not that much as happend storywise bit but it was a great introduction and keeps me wanting for more. Full of action, fancy acrobatics and I could really appreciate the camera work!

The first episode was itself very nice.Mostly in dramas first few episodes will be boring but in long ballad the first episode was itself interesting. ?
